For Christian American readers of this blog:

I wish to incite all Christians to rise up and take back the United States of America with all of God's manifold blessings. We want the free allowance of the Bible and prayers allowed again in schools, halls of justice, and all governing bodies. We don't seek a theocracy until Jesus returns to earth because all men are weak and power corrupts the very best of them.
We want to be a kinder and gentler people without slavery or condescension to any.

The world seems to be in a time of discontent among the populace. Christians should not fear. God is Love, shown best through Jesus Christ. God is still in control. All Glory to our Creator and to our God!

A favorite quote from my good friend, Jack Plymale, which I appreciate:

"Wars are planned by old men,in council rooms apart. They plan for greater armament, they map the battle chart, but: where sightless eyes stare out, beyond life's vanished joys, I've noticed, somehow, all the dead and mamed are hardly more than boys(Grantland Rice per our mutual friend, Sarah Rapp)."

Thanks Jack!

I must admit that I do not check authenticity of my posts. If anyone can tell me of a non-biased arbitrator, I will attempt to do so more regularly. I know of no such arbitrator for the internet.

Mimi Brodsky Chenfeld- God's a funny guy!

This is an e-mail from my excellent and beautiful Jewish lady friend, Mimi Brodsky Chenfeld- a noted worldwide speaker.

Subj: Gods a funny guy!

GOD ENJOYS A GOOD LAUGH!
There were 3 good arguments that Jesus was Black:
1. He called everyone brother.
2. He liked Gospel.
3. He didn't get a fair trial.

But then there were 3 equally good arguments that Jesus was Jewish:
1. He went into His Father's business.
2. He lived at home until he was 33
3. He was sure his Mother was a virgin and his Mother was sure He was God.

But then there were 3 equally good arguments that Jesus was Italian:
1. He talked with His hands.
2. He had wine with His meals.
3. He used olive oil.

But then there were 3 equally good arguments that Jesus was a Californian:
1. He never cut His hair.
2. He walked around barefoot all the time.
3. He started a new religion.

But then there were 3 equally good arguments that Jesus was an American Indian:
1. He was at peace with nature.
2. He ate a lot of fish.
3. He talked about the Great Spirit.
But then there were 3 equally good arguments that Jesus was Irish:
1. He never got married.
2. He was always telling stories.
3. He loved green pastures.
But the most compelling evidence of all - 3 proofs that Jesus was a woman:
1. He fed a crowd at a moment's notice when there was virtually no food.
2. He kept trying to get a message across to a bunch of men who just didn't get it.
3. And even when He was dead, He had to get up because there was still work to do!

AMEN

UK Softball Team in NCAA Regional Finals

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Jeanie and I are enjoying the NCAA Regional Softball games here in Columbus, OH. Our Cats are in need of a double dip win over no-losses Ohio State today to win it. The assignment is not an easy one for our Wildcats.

UK lost to Brigham Young 2-6 in the opener, but avenged that loss by sending BYU home last night 4-2 after beating Canissius 7-0. OSU is tough, having beaten Canissius and BYU in the tourney. .

The beautifully refurbished OSU stadium isn't close to capacity, maybe approaching half full during Ohio State games. There are probably 100 Cat fans, who are mostly family to the UK players.

It is very common to be able to follow your team in the wonderful game of softball. It is so nice to see these outstanding young lady athletes wearing the blue and white and representing our University of Kentucky so well.

OSU ends the Girls' season.

Congratulations on a fantastic season girls. You did things that haven't been done and this team will be well on it's way to doing even bigger things in the future. You were the pioneers.

Great season!!!

Right Troy. OSU is a strong team this year and the Cats came back to tie at two in the third, but OSU had a big fifth inning with two home runs and three additional runs to 2-5. Then in the top of the 7th, OSU scored twice to make the final 2-7.

Congratulations to the Kentucky Wildcat Ladies!

The left fielder of the Cats is Annie Rowlands and she is from Hilliards. Her sister, Meagan, had previously played for Ohio State and coaches Columbus Hartley now.

UK fans should enjoy the Dispatch writeup of yesterday's NCAA Regional Championship game between UK and OSU.

http://www.dispatch.com/live/content...O.html?sid=101

I also would certainly appreciate those of you who might consider purchasing a copy of my first attempt at fiction- "Grandparents and Softball". It costs around $11 and is available through Joseph Beth and other popular bookkstores. Just a hint that it contains comments about UK and Anystate University which could well be OSU.

Our WCN friends know us well and will believe that promoting the book was not my ulterior motive for this post. Jeanie and I honestly love softbball and particularly enjoy watching our grandaughters play.

Take a 10-30 minute walk every day. And while you walk, smile. It is the ultimate anti-depressant.

2. Sit in silence for at least 10 minutes each day. Talk to God about what is going on in your life. Buy a lock if you have to.

3. When you wake up in the morning complete the following statement, 'My purpose is to__________ today. I am thankful for______________'

4. Eat more foods that grow on trees and plants and eat less food that is manufactured in plants.

5. Drink green tea and plenty of water. Eat blueberries, wild Alaskan salmon, broccoli , almonds & walnuts.

6. Try to make at least three people smile each day.

7. Don't waste your precious energy on gossip, energy vampires, issues of the past, negative thoughts or things you cannot control.
Instead invest your energy in the positive present moment.

8. Eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince and dinner like a college kid with a maxed out charge card.

9. Life isn't fair, but it's still good.

10. Life is too short to waste time hating anyone.

11. Don't take yourself so seriously. No one else does.

12. You are not so important that you have to win every argument. Agree to disagree.

13. Make peace with your past so it won't spoil the present.

14. Don't compare your life to others. You have no idea what their journey is all about.

15. No one is in charge of your happiness except you.

16. Frame every so-called disaster with these words: 'In five years, will this matter?'

17. Forgive everyone for everything.

18. What other people think of you is none of your business.

19. GOD heals everything - but you have to ask Him.

20. However good or bad a situation is, it will change.

21. Your job won't take care of you when you are sick. Your friends will. Stay in touch!!!

22. Envy is a waste of time. You already have all you need.

23. Each night before you go to bed complete the following statements: I am thankful for__________. Today I accomplished_________.

24. Remember that you are too blessed to be stressed.

25. When you are feeling down, start listing your many blessings. You'll be smiling before you know it.

Send this to everyone you care about.
