For Christian American readers of this blog:

I wish to incite all Christians to rise up and take back the United States of America with all of God's manifold blessings. We want the free allowance of the Bible and prayers allowed again in schools, halls of justice, and all governing bodies. We don't seek a theocracy until Jesus returns to earth because all men are weak and power corrupts the very best of them.
We want to be a kinder and gentler people without slavery or condescension to any.

The world seems to be in a time of discontent among the populace. Christians should not fear. God is Love, shown best through Jesus Christ. God is still in control. All Glory to our Creator and to our God!

A favorite quote from my good friend, Jack Plymale, which I appreciate:

"Wars are planned by old men,in council rooms apart. They plan for greater armament, they map the battle chart, but: where sightless eyes stare out, beyond life's vanished joys, I've noticed, somehow, all the dead and mamed are hardly more than boys(Grantland Rice per our mutual friend, Sarah Rapp)."

Thanks Jack!

I must admit that I do not check authenticity of my posts. If anyone can tell me of a non-biased arbitrator, I will attempt to do so more regularly. I know of no such arbitrator for the internet.

Senior moment in church ... Thanks Luis Flores!

Senior Moment in Church

A Preacher was explaining that he must move on to a larger congregationthat will pay him more.

There is a hush within the congregation.

No one wanted him to leave.

Joe Smith, who owns several car dealerships in the City stands up and

Proclaims, 'If the Preacher stays, I will provide him with a new Cadillac every year, and his wife with a Honda mini-van to transport their children!'

The congregation sighs in relief, and applauds.

Sam Brown, a successful entrepreneur and investor, stands and says, 'If

the Preacher will stay on here, I'll personally double his salary, and

also establish a foundation to guarantee the college education of all his

children!'

More sighs and loud applause.

Sadie Jones, age 88, stands and announces with a smile, 'If the Preacher

stays, .... I will give him sex!'

There is total silence.

The Preacher, blushing, asks her, 'Mrs. Jones, whatever possessed you to

say that?'

Sadie's 90 year old husband Jake is now trying to hide, holding his

forehead with the palm of his hand, and shaking his head from side to side,

while his wife replies, 'Well , I just asked my husband how we could help,

and he said,......'Screw him!'

Isn't senility wonderful?

Lord, keep your arm around my shoulder and your hand over my mouth.

Christmas eve ... Thanks good Denison friend!

The Teacher asked young Patrick Murphy: "What do you do at Christmas time?Patrick addressed the class: "Well Ms. Jones, me and my twelve brothers and sisters go to midnight mass and we sing hymns; then we come home very late and we put mince pies by the back door and hang up our stockings. Then all excited, we go to bed and wait for Father Christmas to come with all our toys.

"Very nice Patrick," she said. "Now Jimmy Brown, what do you do at Christmas?"Well, Ms. Jones, me and my sister also go to church with Mum and Dad and we sing carols and we get home ever so late. We put cakes and milk by the chimney and we hang up our stockings. We hardly sleep, waiting for Santa Claus to bring our presents.

Realizing there was a Jewish boy in the class and not wanting to leave him out of the discussion, she asked, "Now, Isaac Cohen, what do you do at Christmas?"Isaac said, "Well, it's the same thing every year...Dad comes home from the office. We all pile into the Rolls Royce; then we drive to Dad's toy factory. When we get inside, we look at all the empty shelves...and begin to sing: “What A Friend We Have in Jesus”. Then we all go to the Bahamas .

Very interesting, Clay! Re- Recent Rupp article

Very interesting Carol & Clay!

We took our neighbors, Bill & Jackie Vorlicky, to Lexington one summer . He is a good school adminstrator who dearly loves Ohio State. We pulled down a muddy side street between the construction of Rupp and the land east and I proudly announced: I want to show you guys some real southern hospitality. I rolled my window down just in time to meet a puddle splashed into my face. We all enjoyed a good, if embarrassing, laugh!

Thank you two and Mr. Jordan, from the 'cultural center of our universe'!

I love this prayer ... Thanks Clay!

I love this prayer – so I’m sending along. Couldn't we all use it?

QUICK PRAYER

Please do not break. Just 27 words -

"God, our Father, walk through my house and take away

All my worries and illnesses and please watch over and heal my

Family, Amen."

This prayer is so powerful. Pass this to 12 people

Including me. A blessing is coming to you in form of a new

Job, a house, marriage, finances, or maybe an answer to

Something (a prayer, a request) that you have been waiting

For. Do not break or ask questions. Stop what you are doing & send it to 12 people

Now. Watch what He does!

This is us ... Thanks Carol & Clay Vice!

THIS IS US!!!

Senior citizens are constantly being criticized for every conceivable deficiency of the modern world, real or imaginary. We know we take responsibility for all we have done and do not blame others.

HOWEVER, upon reflection, we would like to point out that it was NOT the senior citizens who took

The melody out of music,

The pride out of appearance,

The courtesy out of driving,

The romance out of love,

The commitment out of marriage,

The responsibility out of parenthood,

The togetherness out of the family,

The learning out of education,

The service out of patriotism,

The Golden Rule from rulers,

The nativity scene out of cities,

The civility out of behavior,

The refinement out of language,

The dedication out of employment,

The prudence out of spending,

The ambition out of achievement or

God out of government and school.

And we certainly are NOT the ones whoeliminated patience and tolerancefrom personal relationships and interactions with others!!

And, we do understand the meaning of patriotism, and remember those who have fought and died for our country.

Just look at the Seniors with tears in their eyes and pride in their hearts as they stand at attention with their hand over their hearts!

YES, I'M A SENIOR CITIZEN!

I'm the life of the party..... Even if it lasts until 8 p.m.

I'm very good at opening childproof caps..... With a hammer.

I'm awake many hours before my body allows me to get up.

I'm smiling all the time because I can't hear a thing you're saying.

I'm sure everything I can't find is in a safe secure place, somewhere.

I'm wrinkled, saggy, lumpy, and that's just my left leg.

I'm beginning to realize that aging is not for wimps.

Yes, I'm a SENIOR CITIZEN and I think I am having the time of my life!

Now if I could only remember who sent this to me, I wouldn't send it back to them, but I would send it to many more too!

Spread the laughter

Share the cheer

Let's be happy

While we're here.

And, MAY GOD BLESS AMERICA

AND MAY AMERICA BLESS GOD!!

I Pray you 'enough' - ... thanks good friend, Marge R!

ENOUGH:

Recently, I overheard a mother and daughter in their last moments together

at the airport.. They had announced the departure. Standing near the security

gate, they hugged, and the mother said, 'I love you, and I pray you enough.'

The daughter replied, 'Mom, our life together has been more than enough.

Your love is all I ever needed. I pray you enough, too, Mom.'

They kissed, and the daughter left. The mother walked over to the window

where I was seated. Standing there, I could see she wanted and needed to cry.

I tried not to intrude on her privacy, but she welcomed me in by asking,

'Did you ever say good-bye to someone knowing it would be forever?'

Yes, I have,' I replied.

'Forgive me for asking, but why is this a forever good-bye?'

'Well...I'm not as young as I once was, she lives so far away & has her own

busy life. I have some challenges ahead, and the reality is - her next trip

back will be for my funeral,' she said.

'When you were saying good-bye, I heard you say, 'I pray you enough.'

May I ask what that means?'

She began to smile. 'That's a prayer that has been handed down from

other generations. My parents used to say it to everyone.' She paused

a moment and looked up as if trying to remember it in detail, and she

smiled even more. 'When we said, 'I pray you enough,' we wanted the

other person to have a life filled with just enough good things to sustain

them.'

Then, turning toward me, she shared the following as if she were

reciting it from memory.

"I pray you enough sun to keep your attitude bright no matter how

gray the day may appear..

I pray you enough rain to appreciate the sun even more.

I pray you enough happiness to keep your spirit alive

and everlasting.

I pray you enough pain so that even the smallest of joys

in life may appear bigger.

I pray you enough gain to satisfy your wanting.

I pray you enough loss to appreciate all that you possess.

I pray you enough hellos to get you through the final good-bye."

Then, she began to cry, and walked away.

They say, it takes a minute to find a special person,

an hour to appreciate them, a day to love them, but

an entire life to forget them.

* Only if you pray, send this to the people you will never forget,

and remember to send it back to the person who sent it to you.

If you don't send it to anyone, it may mean that you are in such

a hurry that you have forgotten your friends.

TAKE TIME TO LIVE....... To all my loved ones family & friends.... I PRAY YOU "ENOUGH" .......
