For Christian American readers of this blog:

I wish to incite all Christians to rise up and take back the United States of America with all of God's manifold blessings. We want the free allowance of the Bible and prayers allowed again in schools, halls of justice, and all governing bodies. We don't seek a theocracy until Jesus returns to earth because all men are weak and power corrupts the very best of them.
We want to be a kinder and gentler people without slavery or condescension to any.

The world seems to be in a time of discontent among the populace. Christians should not fear. God is Love, shown best through Jesus Christ. God is still in control. All Glory to our Creator and to our God!

A favorite quote from my good friend, Jack Plymale, which I appreciate:

"Wars are planned by old men,in council rooms apart. They plan for greater armament, they map the battle chart, but: where sightless eyes stare out, beyond life's vanished joys, I've noticed, somehow, all the dead and mamed are hardly more than boys(Grantland Rice per our mutual friend, Sarah Rapp)."

Thanks Jack!

I must admit that I do not check authenticity of my posts. If anyone can tell me of a non-biased arbitrator, I will attempt to do so more regularly. I know of no such arbitrator for the internet.

Re- IU 73 UK 72 12-10-2011

Right Jack. We were not supposed to lose to IU, but they played better than our boys did yesterday. They aren’t a bad basketball team. It has taken Crean a while to put something together. IU fans have been talking trash, but they walked the walk, yesterday.
I like to refer to Willy Davis’ post game presser after he had dropped three fly balls in a game: “It ain’t my life. It ain’t my wife. It’s just a ball game baby!

Hilda IV my computer

This is Hilda IV, my new Gateway computer.  Jeanie lets me spend time with her in my office.  I do so most early mornings in reading emails from valued friends and selecting ones to use in my SamKat blog.  Hilda was a calendar at one of the Columbus Waste Management plants maintenance shops.  I always admired the lady's pneumatic qualities and the shop fellows gave her to me one Christmas as they put up a new calendar.  Jeanie hasn't always been fond of my Hilda's but she permits me to be alone with the lady.  She isn't the beauty my wife is, but she is in an interesting predicament.

My young guru, Shawn, put her on my blog as a regular if you ever access skegley.blogspot.com .

If My Body Was a Car
This is just too funny - scary how true it is!!IF MY BODY WAS A CAR..
If my body was a car, this is the time I would be thinking about trading it in for a newer model. I've got bumps and dents and scratches in my finish and my paint job is getting a little dull ...
But that's not the worst of it.
My headlights are out of focus and it's especially hard to see things up close
My traction is not as graceful as it once was.. I slip and slide and skid and bump into things even in the best of weather..
My whitewalls are stained with varicose veins.
It takes me hours to reach my maximum speed. My fuel rate burns inefficiently.
But here's the worst of it --

Almost every time I sneeze, cough or sputter, either my radiator leaks or my exhaust backfires!
