For Christian American readers of this blog:

I wish to incite all Christians to rise up and take back the United States of America with all of God's manifold blessings. We want the free allowance of the Bible and prayers allowed again in schools, halls of justice, and all governing bodies. We don't seek a theocracy until Jesus returns to earth because all men are weak and power corrupts the very best of them.
We want to be a kinder and gentler people without slavery or condescension to any.

The world seems to be in a time of discontent among the populace. Christians should not fear. God is Love, shown best through Jesus Christ. God is still in control. All Glory to our Creator and to our God!

A favorite quote from my good friend, Jack Plymale, which I appreciate:

"Wars are planned by old men,in council rooms apart. They plan for greater armament, they map the battle chart, but: where sightless eyes stare out, beyond life's vanished joys, I've noticed, somehow, all the dead and mamed are hardly more than boys(Grantland Rice per our mutual friend, Sarah Rapp)."

Thanks Jack!

I must admit that I do not check authenticity of my posts. If anyone can tell me of a non-biased arbitrator, I will attempt to do so more regularly. I know of no such arbitrator for the internet.

Christianity and the Message of Christ

In thinking out loud on February 24, 2012 at 10:41 pm

Justinian (The Messiah) and Theodora (The Virgin) ~ The Creators of Roman Christianity
I believe that Jesus would gaze disapprovingly upon most of the Christians of this age.
I have my beliefs and am satisfied with them. For me, organized religion, worship of “holy” books such as the Bible or the Qu’ran, the post-Constantin Roman Christian concentration on the physical person of Christ rather than the message of Christ, the belief that Faith alone will get you to heaven and the stubborn clinging to a belief in a “Loving God” who condemns souls to hell will keep me away from what now passes for Christianity.
I believe in Christ as prophet of the Gods. For me, it is enough that he was a messenger who brought a message of Faith, Hope and Love to mankind. I do not need to sit in a church pew and moan ad nauseum how much I “LOOOOOVE JeeZus!” like some heifer in spiritual heat.  It is not what one believes but how one incorporates ones beliefs into ones life that is important.
I know far too many Christians who talk a great game and then fall back on the Original Sin hoax stating that we are all sinners as an excuse for turning a blind eye to and doing nothing about the evils in this world.
Too many believe that as long as they believe in Jesus and accept him into their hearts as their savior that they are going to heaven. I believe that it is impossible to accept Jesus without accepting his message. The Ministry of Jesus was about work. The work of loving the world. The work of loving your neighbor. The work of accepting and not judging.
Each Christian vote for acts such as the Sanctity of Marriage Amendment is a repudiation of the message of Christ. Each Christian vote against the poor is a repudiation of the message of Christ. Each Christian vote against immigrants from South America is a repudiation of the life of Christ.
Christ was about helping the poor and welcoming everyone into the family of man. His life was not about keeping those poverty stricken Mexicans out of America. Christ was not about marginalizing homosexuals or the poor. Christ was not about sanctifying marriage for this group or that group.
30 years ago marriage was too sacred to allow a Black Man to marry a White Woman. Miscegenation was a great evil. Now, if you’re a good Christian, you must stop the homosexuals from ruining marriage. What’s next? Maybe they’ll actually tackle the real problem facing marriage. Adultery. I doubt that though. They’d have to fire 80% of the Preacher Men if they did that.
I missed that in the teachings of Christ. I missed where Jesus stated that only White Men can marry White Women and that no other marriage was valid.
These are some of the many reasons that I will never again be a part of Christianity.
The greatest reason is that I revere Christ and see that organization which claims to represent him as a repudiation of all that is good about the man and his message.
Having long ago verged from the path of Ieshua the Nazarene, Modern Christianity is a hot mess.

  1. Dawood,
I don’t doubt your honesty one bit; however, you put all humans in an impossible box.
I think you know that I believe in the God who sent Jesus and had him preach to the masses about His Father’s kingdom of Heaven. I still read and believe the Bible stories regularly. If somebody burned Bibles that would be on them.
Paul was a privileged offspring of the Pharisees who persecuted Christians before hearing Christ speak.
Paul became among the greatest of the early Christian preachers, throughout much of the land you have traveled over there.
In his letters to the Ephesians and the Philipians Paul proclaimed himself “Chief among sinners”.
In John 14:1-3 Jesus said: “If you believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many mansions. If it were not so, I would have told you.”
I believe in a loving God and yet, I don’t understand all of the world’s suffering. I believe that we humans will someday but not while here on earth.
Please come back to America. It certainly isn’t safe here, but you may not make it out alive over there. Some of our people are even rioting over sports shoes now.
You could set Unny up in business and write, write, write. The world needs your honesty without the strong feelings you express on religion. or, if you insist, I cannot keep you from expressing your convictions.
    Your good friend,
    Sam

Two Boxes
( Please keep it going. This has been going since Dec. 1, 2000 ~ please send it on.)

God's Boxes

I have in my hands two boxes,
Which God gave me to hold.
He said, "Put all your sorrows in the black box,
And all your joys in the gold."

I heeded His words, and in the two boxes,
Both my joys and sorrows I stored,
But though the gold became heavier each day,
The black was as light as before.

With curiosity, I opened the black,
I wanted to find out why,
And I saw, in the base of the box, a hole,
Which my sorrows had fallen out by.

I showed the hole to God, and mused,
"I wonder where my sorrows could be!"
He smiled a gentle smile and said,
"My child, they're all here with me.."

I asked God, why He gave me the boxes,
Why the gold and the black with the hole?
"My child, the gold is for you to count your blessings,
The black is for you to let go."

We should consider all of our friends a blessing.
Send this to a friend today just to let them know you
are thinking of them and that they are a joy in your life.

A ball is a circle, no beginning, no end.
It keeps us together like our Circle of Friends.
But the treasure inside for you to see,
Is the treasure of friendship you've granted to me.

Today I pass the friendship ball to you.
Pass it on to someone who is a friend to you...

15 questions Mainstream media would ask obama if he were Rrepublican

Jeff Carter
Subject: 15 Questions The Mainstream Media Would Ask Barack Obama If He Were A Republican]
< Regardless of your political persuasion (promise!), please give this article a fair read. Then, if you still disagree with the premise, fine. I appreciate you doing so (reading it). And then voting according to your own conscience. But, as for me, I still firmly believe this is absolutely undeniable. >15 Questions The Mainstream Media Would Ask Barack Obama If He Were A Republican
The only thing they don’t ask Republican candidates about much is economic questions and debt questions. Instead they ask horribly slanted, often irrelevant questions designed to make them look bad and help Obama. We’ve heard questions about contraceptives, religion, Newt’s angry ex-wife, Cain’s employees, Romney’s personal wealth, Gardasil, etc. Newt’s rise was because of the way he attacked the media and Obama in the debates because of the stupid and obviously planted questions.
So, what would happen if the mainstream media treated Barack Obama the exact same way they treat Republicans? The questions might sound a little something like this.
1) Numerous Mexican citizens and an American citizen have been murdered with weapons knowingly provided to criminals by our own government during Operation Fast and Furious. If Eric Holder was aware that was going on, do you think he should step down as Attorney General? Were you aware of Fast and Furious and if so, shouldn’t you resign?
2) In 2010 you said Solyndra, a company that donated heavily to your political campaign, was “leading the way toward a brighter and more prosperous future.” Today, Solyndra is bankrupt and the taxpayers lost over $500 million on loans that your administration knew might never be paid off when you made them. How do you respond to citizens who say this is evidence of corruption in your administration?
3) Unions invested a lot of time and money in helping to get you elected. In return, unions gained majority control of Chrysler, the taxpayers lost $14 billion dollars on General Motors, and General Motors received a special $45 billion dollar tax break. What do you say to people who view this as corruption on a scale never before seen in American history?
4) Through dubious means you and your Democrat allies in Congress managed to force through an incredibly unpopular health care bill that helped lead to the worst election night for the Democrat Party in 50 years. Since the bill has passed, many of your claims about the bill have proven to be untrue. For example, we now know the bill won’t lower health care costs and despite your assurances to the contrary, big companies like McDonald’s say they may drop health care because of the health care reform. Congress has exempted themselves from the health care reform and instead has their own taxpayer-funded premium health care plan. Many large companies (that donate to Democrat political campaigns) have received special exemptions from the health care plan. Since the majority of the American people have rejected your health care reform and it doesn’t do what you said it would, shouldn’t you work with the Republicans to repeal it?
5) When you took office, the national average for one gallon of gas was $1.89 per gallon. Since then, you’ve demonized the oil industry, dramatically slowed offshore drilling, blocked ANWAR, and rejected the Keystone Pipeline. Now, gas is $3.54 per gallon and rising and is expected to reach $5 per gallon by May of this year. How much higher do you anticipate driving gas prices?
6) Occupy Wall Street has been protesting against Wall Street and the richest 1 percent in America. You are in the top 1 percent of income earners in America and you have collected more cash from Wall Street than any other President in history. So, aren’t you exactly the sort of politician that Occupy Wall Street wants to get rid of?
7) How do you decide which foreign leaders to submissively bow towards and why do you think that’s appropriate for an American President?
8) If they could, don’t you think the Nobel Committee would take back the Nobel Peace Prize that you were awarded after serving just one month in office?
9) You made bipartisanship one of the central themes of your campaign in 2008. Yet, you’ve worked to push bills through Congress with almost no Republican support, spent much less time negotiating with Congress than George Bush did, and you’ve said things like, “But, I don’t want the folks who created the mess to do a lot of talking. I want them to get out of the way so we can clean up the mess. I don’t mind cleaning up after them, but don’t do a lot of talking.” Why did you decide to break your campaign promise to pursue bipartisanship?
10) America lost its AAA credit rating for the first time under your watch. What do you think you should have done differently to have prevented that historic failure?
11) You cut more than 500 billion dollars out of Medicare to fund your wildly unpopular health care reform bill. Given that Medicare is running in the red already, don’t you think it’s irresponsible to cut money out of one entitlement program, that millions of seniors depend on — to put it into a risky new entitlement program?
12) Back in July, you said, “Nobody’s looking to raise taxes right now. We’re talking about potentially 2013 and the out years.” Since you plan to raise taxes if you’re elected and you’ve had kind words for a value added tax, shouldn’t every American expect a tax increase if you’re reelected?
13) Why should the American people reelect you when your 10 year budget saddles America with more debt than all previous Presidents combined?
14) Your stimulus bill cost more in real dollars than the moon landing and the interstate highway system combined. Many prominent economists have concluded the stimulus plan was a total failure. What do we have to show for all of that money spent?
15) Members of your administration promised that the trillion dollar stimulus would keep unemployment under 8 percent. Instead, we’ve had 35+ months of 8% and above unemployment. Doesn’t that mean we wasted a trillion dollars on nothing?

A Tale of Two runs ... KSR COLLEGE.com

A Tale of Two Runs (3 minutes & 26 seconds)

by @ 9:00 am. Filed under Uncategorized

The Kentucky/Mississippi State game lasted 40 minutes, as all regulation college basketball games do. The two most crucial runs of the game lasted only a total of 3 minutes and 26 seconds. Mississippi State’s most important run lasted 59 seconds. In that 59 seconds, I began to get the uneasy feeling in my stomach that I had when Kentucky played West Virginia in the Elite 8 two years ago. Kentucky’s run lasted 2 minutes and 27 seconds and gave me a feeling in my stomach that I haven’t had since the mid-90′s. I will attempt to break down the key moments of both crucial runs in the second half below.

The Mississippi State 59-second Run:

At the 7:18 mark in the second half, Kentucky had just cut Mississippi State’s lead down to 2 points on a Terrence Jones basket. Over the next 59 seconds, Mississippi State was able to rebuild their lead back up to 7 points thanks to the following series of events:

- (6:55) On the ensuing offensive possession Mississippi State clanked a 3 pointer off the rim, but Kentucky allowed two MSU players to get the inside position on the rebound. One of those two players just happened to be Arnett Moultrie who dunked the ball as it came off the rim. The play was a huge momentum shift after Kentucky had just cut the lead to the smallest it had been since the first half.

- (6:40) Lamb takes a quick 3 (and misses) from the top of the key with 23 seconds remaining on the shot clock. The possession included a total of just 2 passes.

- (6:28) Dee Bost nails a contested three over Anthony Davis, while the primary defender (Kidd-Gilchrist) gets caught up on a screen,  to push the lead back out to 7, prompting a Calipari timeout and an eruption from the crowd. Bost’s shot felt like it could be the “nail in the coffin” type of shot…

The Kentucky 2:27 Run:

- (6:19)  Darius Miller forces another quick contested three pointer with 27 seconds remaining on the shot clock. Perhaps as a make-up call for the Anthony Davis technical awarded earlier in the half, Mississippi State was called for a foul on the Miller shot. After the media timeout, Miller calmly sank all three of his free throws to cut the MSU lead back down to 4 points (60-56)

- (6:05) Darius Miller comes up with a huge steal on the next Mississippi State possession

- (5:44) Michael Kidd-Gilchrist powers through the lane on a double-team and finds a way to put the ball off the glass for a huge bucket, cutting the lead to 2 points (60-58).

- (5:11) Mississippi State scores inside as Anthony Davis narrowly misses blocking the lay-up attempt. Mississippi State builds the lead back up to 4 points (62-58).

- (4:47) Michael Kidd-Gilchrist penetrates the zone at the top of the key, freeing Darius Miller of his defender just outside of the three point line. Miller knocks down the 3-pointer, cutting the lead to 1 point. (62-61).

- (4:39) Marquis Teague is shown on the bench proudly clapping and cheering his teammates on as he watches with 4 fouls.

- (4:17) Anthony Davis alters a Dee Bost drive, toeing the inbound line to save the ball and then throwing it to the hands of Michael Kidd-Gilchrist to save the change in possession for Kentucky.

(4:11) Michael Kidd-Gilchrist runs the length of the floor following the Davis inbound save. Kidd-Gilchrist misses the initial drive, but out-muscles two Mississippi State defenders to grab his own rebound. Kidd-Gilchrist is fouled as he goes right back up with another shot, nailing the basket but missing the free throw that would have made it a 3-point play. The basket did give Kentucky it’s first lead (63-62).

(3:52) Mississippi State’s Lewis is called for a foul on the following offensive possession for Mississippi State while trying to battle Davis for an offensive rebound. The media timeout was then called and Kentucky took a one point lead into the final break, never to relinquish it again.

@AllyTuckerKSR  Follow me, everything is alright. I’ll be the one to tuck you in at night (just kidding, that’s creepy).
