For Christian American readers of this blog:

I wish to incite all Christians to rise up and take back the United States of America with all of God's manifold blessings. We want the free allowance of the Bible and prayers allowed again in schools, halls of justice, and all governing bodies. We don't seek a theocracy until Jesus returns to earth because all men are weak and power corrupts the very best of them.
We want to be a kinder and gentler people without slavery or condescension to any.

The world seems to be in a time of discontent among the populace. Christians should not fear. God is Love, shown best through Jesus Christ. God is still in control. All Glory to our Creator and to our God!

A favorite quote from my good friend, Jack Plymale, which I appreciate:

"Wars are planned by old men,in council rooms apart. They plan for greater armament, they map the battle chart, but: where sightless eyes stare out, beyond life's vanished joys, I've noticed, somehow, all the dead and mamed are hardly more than boys(Grantland Rice per our mutual friend, Sarah Rapp)."

Thanks Jack!

I must admit that I do not check authenticity of my posts. If anyone can tell me of a non-biased arbitrator, I will attempt to do so more regularly. I know of no such arbitrator for the internet.

Pick the whole team Thanks Ramey H.!

Yes Ramey, but I was so thrilled when George W. assembled such a great team that was there to face an unexpected and horrific 911 islamic terrorist attack. I like picking the entire team, but want it to be at least a conservative group, not just one person, to pick them. It would be a wonderful start for 2013!

Subject: This is BOLD!!
Got this from a friend. What a great idea!!!!
This is from one of my airline driver pilots who has written several thinking paperbacks. Definitely thinks for himself and will listen. Interesting thoughts.

A pipe dream? It has my attention. Going to get yours?
It’s going to be an ugly campaign.
We all know it and we’re ready for it, but it’s going to be the ugliest, nastiest and dirtiest campaign in history.
Why NOT take the early lead? If Romney takes this advice, it will send a clear message to the Republican establishment that conservatives aren’t going to do business as usual any more. It would shake the establishment and pull together conservative voters.
He would pull together the conservative vote.
Here is a little something else this would do… It would shake the Obama campaign to its core.
As soon as the 1,144 delegates are in hand, WHOEVER garners them either at the convention or before… put this into motion.
Rather than a leisurely march toward a VP nominee or a surprise VP announcement like we got in 2008, vet the possible VPs NOW and stand ready to announce the running mate in a nationally televised press conference the day after the delegates are in hand.
Make the VP choice Allen West.
Having Congressman West in the VP slot makes him a TRIPLE THREAT and a VP who WILL redefine the role. Triple threat? As the Vice President he would attend to the regular duties and be a heartbeat away from the presidency. As Vice President, West would also act as a second Secretary of State in difficult diplomatic negotiations. AND… A Vice President West would work in concert with the Secretary of Defense to realign our military and redefine its role.
Triple threat!
Oh, but this is just the START of the strategy! As soon as the Presidential nominee has introduced West as the running mate… THE NOMINEE WOULD THEN INTRODUCE HIS SECRETARY OF STATE NOMINEE… John Bolton.
As a former Ambassador to the United Nations there is nobody with a better handle on the world’s issues or more familiar with the players. John Bolton is tough, straight forward and not likely to appease ANYONE. Now, you have the nominee on stage, the VP choice and the Secretary of State nominee… Let’s not stop there.
Next to walk onto the stage… Sarah Palin… Nominee for Secretary of Energy.
Palin’s directive… Set us on the path toward energy independence in 10 years. Can you think of a better choice? Anyone more invested in that goal? Anyone who is more knowledgeable or adept? I don’t. Can you feel the ground starting to shake?
Next out of the wings and onto the stage… The nominee for Secretary of Defense. Enter… General David Petreaus.
As great as he was fighting a Politically Correct (PC) war, imagine what he’ll be like once he and West have pressed the reset button on our rules of engagement. In Petraeus we will have a Secretary of Defense whose mission will be to win. PERIOD!
Oh… I’m not done yet. Next up… The nominee for Attorney General… Pam Bondi.
Bondi, Attorney General of Florida, is a no nonsense fighter who has taken on the current administration over Obamacare and WILL clean out the corruption rampant in that office today. Okay, where are we? Who is now standing on the stage? The Presidential nominee and Allen West… John Bolton… Sarah Palin…General Petreaus and Pam Bondi.
How about a Secretary of the Treasury? We would need someone who has worked for YEARS in the tax field who understands the overwhelming burden of tax codes and who has, for years fought to restructure those codes.
Welcome Michele Bachmann to the stage… The nominee for Secretary of the Treasury.
By now, fissures should be opening in the ground, rumbling coming from the sky and the faint odor of brimstone should be in the air.
We will need someone new with new ideas to head up the Fed. Please welcome Ron Paul. Yes, I realize this, under Paul, will be a temporary position; but somehow, I doubt Ron Paul wants to make a career of running the Fed.
Secretary of the Interior? Governor Bobby Jindal of Louisiana … COME ON DOWN!
And finally… We need someone to head up the Department of Homeland Security. We must have someone who understands the issues we face. Someone who has worked in federal law enforcement. Someone who won’t take any crap from anybody. Please… a round of applause for… Sheriff Joe Arpaio, Maricopa County , AZ.
Were the GOP nominee to do this… call a press conference and make such an announcement… it would be unprecedented. Never before has a presidential nominee entered the full-on campaign with a fully assembled team.
Can you IMAGINE the shock-and-awe wave that would be sent through the Obama campaign were the GOP nominee to do this? Think about it!
From the word GO it would be unlike any previous presidential campaign.
Instead of simply Nominee X against Obama we would have Nominee X vs Obama…
Congressman Allen West vs. Joe Biden…
John Bolton vs. Hillary Clinton…
Sarah Palin vs. Stephen Chu…
General Petreaus vs. Leon Panetta…
Pam Bondi vs. Eric Holder…
Michele Bachmann vs. Tim Geitner…
Ron Paul vs. Ben Bernake…
Bobby Jindal vs. Ken Salazar…
Sheriff Joe Arpaio vs. Janet Napolitano.
Think about that… Let that sink in… All campaigning at once. There would be no way out for Obama as each and every key player on his team would be exposed and held to account from the word GO.
It would be a full on frontal assault and Obama would have no place to hide.
By adopting this proposal, Obama would be forced into a pot of boiling water or into the fire. If he tried to rid himself of baggage he would be exposed as running from his own record and that of the very people he’s been standing behind for political expediency. If he stays with them, he would be forced to defend them. Boiling water or a raging fire… his choice.
It’s bold, brash and completely against the establishment business as usual strategy. It’s earth shaking!
An entire assembled team of key cabinet positions… Each one a pitbull on a T-Bone… hammering their liberal counterparts on every issue, every day, from the word GO, until November 6th, 2012.
We will have to play the cards we’re dealt with the GOP nominee, but tell me THIS strategy wouldn’t go a LONG way toward bringing the conservative voters together. Tell me this strategy wouldn’t pull in and appeal to independents.
As voters, using THIS strategy, we would be voting for the whole team rather than just the standard, business-as-usual Presidential 2-person ticket.

Akiane Kramarik Christ Paintings-Genius youngster

Interview: Akiane speaks of heaven and paintings

HUNTINGDON, PA - February 21, 2012 - Akiane Kramarik’s paintings of Heaven and God are beyond breathtaking. They are realistic, yet ethereal. They are tangible, yet capture the intangible. They are aesthetic, yet natural. They portray love, yet the love is felt more than seen.

Much like the 17-year-old artist and prodigy, the paintings stir the soul, bringing to mind greater things than those which exist here on earth. Like the lyrics of a song that we have never heard, Akiane’s paintings of Heaven evoke feelings that we have never felt, yet long to experience.

Akiane began sketching at the age of four; by age six, she was painting on canvases. She told her mother that she had to paint because she had “visions from God.” Her parents, who were atheists at the time, were simultaneously confused and amazed by their young daughter’s paintings of Heaven and Jesus Christ, whom she referred to as “God.”

The Kramariks have stated over and over that these were not terms that were discussed in their home. Akiane’s mother, Foreli, is originally from Lithuania and had no religious background or belief system. Akiane’s father, Mark, was brought up as a Catholic, but had not been a practicing Catholic in years.

In an interview with The Washington Times Communities section, “Lori’s Centiments,” Akiane attempted to explain what it is like to have a “vision from God.”

“A vision is like an oasis in a desert. You can’t have it all the time, as you need to keep on continuing your journey through the desert of life experiences, full of faith trials. . . I am not so concerned about waiting for a vision to appear because I know it will come to me when I least expect it. . . I still do have visions that inspire my work,” Akiane said.

Akiane has said in the past that she must paint what she sees in visions, which she says are much like dreams, soon after she experiences them or the vision will lose its clarity. When she gazes at a vision-inspired painting, such as “Prince of Peace,” she can clearly recall the vision, although she needs to look at the painting to bring it fully to her conscious mind.
In another painting, titled “Father Forgive Them,” Akiane painted Jesus with his hands raised upward, as though beseeching his Father in Heaven. She describes God in an interview with CNN as “like a bow of light - really pure, really masculine, really strong, and big . . . His eyes are just beautiful.”

Among the some 250 paintings Akiane has completed, many have been influenced by her visions or by some other aspect of her spiritual life. Some of the most awe-inspiring are those of Heaven, which Akiane says she has seen, through revelations from God.
In our interview, Akiane described Heaven using words: “Plants, animals, and all beings spoke not through words, but through color, vibration, and thoughts. Everything was simply effortless. But my recollections of Heaven and visions are fading and new experiences are being formed through time. My understanding of Heaven has expanded and deepened since my first encounter with visions and dreams of Heaven. We co-create our reality however we like it and need it. To a certain degree, some people can experience that even here on earth.”

Akiane has also repeatedly mentioned the vibrancy and ethereal beauty that exists in Heaven. “All of the colors were out of this world. There are hundreds of millions of colors that we don’t know yet. The flowers there were crystal clear . . .” Akiane told CNN in an interview a few years ago.

Perhaps Akiane’s best known painting of Heaven is, “Supreme Sanctuary,” which depicts an ornate building on a hill, flooded in sunshine and warmth, and surrounded by unusual, yet inherently beautiful flowers of every hue. As Akiane has emphasized, it is impossible for her to capture the colors which exist in Heaven because of their uniqueness.

In addition to her prolific painting, Akiane also writes poetry, often to describe a painting or vision.
Here is a portion of the poem that accompanies the painting titled, “Supreme Sanctuary”:
Eternal childhood -
With delicate demands . . .
No reflections have been gathered
In the same-hue gardens -
A journey
Seems too physical
Across the crossroad of
Bridges. . .
For some reason I can’t
Wait
To be mixed up
Into the chaste pigments of
All experiences.
For some reason
I can’t wait for the journey
Which is the only way
To reach the Light. . .   .

In our interview, we asked Akiane to describe God to someone who doesn’t have a relationship with Him. Her response, in part, was that God “is love.” Akiane also stated that having a relationship with God requires having love and purity in your heart.

Akiane said her goal in life is “to bring people closer together through art.” Her art has certainly accomplished that on many levels. Not only have her paintings sold for very large sums, ranging from $5,000 to $3 million, they have undoubtedly touched the hearts and minds of all who have seen them. The teenager who has had no formal training has definitely elicited great excitement and admiration in the art world. She has also intrigued the public about God and Heaven, making many who didn’t believe, pause and wonder about how a little girl could have such a gift if not for a loving God.

The soft spoken girl is self-effacing about her gifts, attributing her paintings to God’s presence in her life. For instance, upon completion of one of her works of art, Akiane said, “I feel every painting is a challenging piece of a puzzle for me and others to solve. I feel both humble and exhilarated to see if completed.”

Akiane spends four to five hours a day on her paintings, mostly done in acrylics or oil. The process from beginning to completion of a painting takes about three months. She is home schooled, along with her siblings, Delfi, Jean Lia, Ilia, and Aurelius, in their hometown, Sandpoint, Idaho. Along with painting and writing, Akiane spends time reading and studying. She speaks Lithuanian, Russian, and English. Other activities that Akiane said she enjoys are writing, textile designing, playing instruments including the piano, guitar, flute and the violin, photography, cooking, going to operas, ballets, and plays. In addition, she enjoys creating stop motion or clay motion short films and sculpting.

At this time, Akiane does not have plans to attend college. “For a true artist, life is a real academy. I am always both a student and a teacher. I have been teaching art to children since the age of eight. Now I am a co-founder of Akiane Arts School at Foreli Academy, where we are now enrolling students. As a student of life, I am challenged everyday to experiment and to explore the unknown territories.”

The ‘unknown territories’ that Akiane has explored seems to primarily revolve around her spirituality, which she paints with such passion and fervor that her paintings seem to virtually come to life. One such painting, is titled, “The Angel,” which resonates with the purity and love that Akiane often speaks of. The gossamer-like gown that surrounds the angel lends to the painting’s ethereal, ephemeral ambiance, drawing the audience in, making the audience long to know more.
Fortunately, Akiane wrote the following explanation about the painting, “The Angel”:
“. . . Sometimes we meet certain angels that appear like humans, and we don’t know it. Many of us have been saved from many accidents, and we don’t know it either. We should appreciate each safe moment. In this painting, I blended a few dimensions to portray the guardian angels’ mission: with the wings invisible to human eyes, yet with the see-through energy veil, the youthful angel is catching a falling child without any tension, difficulty, or worry. Her background is gold, copper, and brass, to signify the providence, the law, and the safety. To save our bodies is easy for an angel, but what is hard is that sometimes she must allow someone to fall or get hurt, according to God’s laws. And I don’t remember why . . .”

The beauty and awe evoked by Akiane’s paintings can not be denied. Nor can the loveliness of the painter herself be unobserved. She is the epitome of a unique gentleness and beauty that seems to glow from inside her until it reaches her countenance.

Just another great article by Lori. A job well done.

Thanks Lori Rose Centi for writing such a beautiful article, like a doorway into the Light.  I am very grateful for the opportunity thus given to walk through that door and experience the "other side", through Akiane's art, even for a few moments. What a different world it is compared to where we normally spend our time. Great choice of quotes. And the video clip was super too. Very artfully done.
We hear the CNN narrator pronounce her name the way it is supposed to be spoken.

  • I've gone through her gallery and it is lovely work touching and full of color and talent. I don't like to use the word prodigy, because this is clearly natural talent that was WELL nurtured by loving and listening parents.
Perhaps I am a bit cynical as coming from an art background, but for her age she is extremely talented and has progressed exponentially.(She gets better because she practices, practices, practices and lives for the paint) And honestly, I'm flat out jealous of the parental and family support she got from her creativity.
Perhaps if many of us where allowed to be who we are, and loved for it, the word prodigy would be a common thing.

Thank you, God, for giving her the gift of showing us all how awesome our future home is ans how beautiful your son Jesus is. I can't wait to see you both face to face!!!!!!
