For Christian American readers of this blog:

I wish to incite all Christians to rise up and take back the United States of America with all of God's manifold blessings. We want the free allowance of the Bible and prayers allowed again in schools, halls of justice, and all governing bodies. We don't seek a theocracy until Jesus returns to earth because all men are weak and power corrupts the very best of them.
We want to be a kinder and gentler people without slavery or condescension to any.

The world seems to be in a time of discontent among the populace. Christians should not fear. God is Love, shown best through Jesus Christ. God is still in control. All Glory to our Creator and to our God!

A favorite quote from my good friend, Jack Plymale, which I appreciate:

"Wars are planned by old men,in council rooms apart. They plan for greater armament, they map the battle chart, but: where sightless eyes stare out, beyond life's vanished joys, I've noticed, somehow, all the dead and mamed are hardly more than boys(Grantland Rice per our mutual friend, Sarah Rapp)."

Thanks Jack!

I must admit that I do not check authenticity of my posts. If anyone can tell me of a non-biased arbitrator, I will attempt to do so more regularly. I know of no such arbitrator for the internet.

obama, gun control and first Negro ball players in the majors- Newsmax

3. Gallup: Immigration, Guns Not Major Concerns
Immigration and gun control are two hot topics in Washington these days, but Americans aren’t especially concerned about either issue, a new Gallup poll reveals.
In the survey of more than 1,000 adults, respondents were asked: “What do you think is the most important problem facing this country today?”
Only 4 percent cited “immigration/illegal aliens,” and 4 percent said “guns/gun control,” down from 6 percent in February.
Healthcare, another hot topic today, was cited by only 6 percent.
The most-cited problem was “economy in general,” chosen by 24 percent, followed by “unemployment/jobs” (18 percent), “dissatisfaction with government” (16 percent), and “federal budget deficit/federal debt” (11 percent).
Legislation on gun control and immigration reform are both stirring debate in Washington, but “few Americans mention guns or immigration as the most important problems facing the nation today, despite the current attention lawmakers in Washington are giving to these issues,” Gallup observed.
“Instead, Americans focus on economic issues and problems with the government as their top concerns.”
Other problems mentioned by poll respondents include “ethical/moral/family decline” (5 percent), “education” (4 percent), “situation with North Korea” (4 percent), “welfare” (2 percent), “taxes” (2 percent), and “poverty/hunger/homelessness” (2 percent).
Gallup concludes: “All in all, to the degree that Americans would want their elected representatives to focus on the problems they perceive to be the most important of the day, they would prioritize the economy and jobs, efforts to fix problems with the way government functions today, and the deficit.”
Editor's Note:

4. Before Robinson, Bud Fowler Was First Black Baseball Pro
The release of the Jackie Robinson biopic “42” has focused new attention on the man who “broke the color barrier” in Major League baseball.
But in fact, the first African-American known to have played for a white professional baseball team was Bud Fowler, who joined an International Association team way back in 1878.
Fowler played 10 seasons as a pitcher, catcher, and second baseman for integrated teams in the high levels of the minor leagues, and finished second in batting average in the International Association in 1887, the New York Times disclosed.
Last weekend, Fowler was honored in Cooperstown, N.Y., the site of baseball’s Hall of Fame, when a street in the village was named Bud Fowler Way. A biography of Fowler will be published in June.
Robinson wasn’t the first African-American to play baseball for a major league team, either. The first was Moses Fleetwood Walker, who played in 1884 with the Toledo Blue Stockings of the American Association, which was then a major league.
The so-called color barrier wasn’t established until 1887, when team owners agreed to bar blacks from playing on white professional teams. The move followed threats by Fowler’s teammates on the Binghamton Bingos to go on strike if he was allowed to remain on the team.
The barrier fell on April 15, 1947, when Jackie Robinson — number 42 — took the field for the Brooklyn Dodgers.

“You know, I actually believe my own bull----.”
That’s what President Barack Obama once told a reporter. If the man ever uttered a statement that spoke more to his approach to politics, I haven’t heard it.
Whether it stems from a grandiose overconfidence in his own powers of persuasion, or the lessons he took from his years as a community organizer, or his own messianic conviction that he is on the right side of everything, including history itself, the president has operated under the theory that he can move the American people to his causes. And he can’t. He just can’t.
Yes, he got elected and re-elected, and that’s saying something. But whatever personal popularity the man has doesn’t transfer to domestic policy.
It’s as if the American people are saying, “Mr. President, we’re just not that in to you.”
“What about health-care reform!?” his fans invariably respond.
Well, what about it? Sure, it passed. But the Affordable Care Act didn’t become law because Obama ignited a populist prairie fire in favor of it. He dedicated vast, vast swaths of his time and energy trying to sell the American people on Obamacare. He never made the sale (and still hasn’t ). The misbegotten law’s passage is attributable entirely to the fact that Democrats rammed it through Congress — with a 60-vote majority in the Senate — using the sorts of backroom deals and corporate giveaways the American people despise.
Ironically, the only populist mass movement on domestic policy issues Obama can claim credit for creating is the tea party, which I think we can all agree isn’t what he had in mind.
Indeed, if Obamacare had been popular, the Democrats wouldn’t have been dealt a “shellacking” — Obama’s words — in the 2010 midterm elections. But they were. Democrats suffered a defeat of biblical proportions, despite Obama’s relentless campaigning.
In 2012, after scoring an impressive re-election win, Obama apparently thought he solved the puzzle. He needed more organization, like he had in the election. Obviously everyone loves what he has to say, Obama reasoned, but he needed to translate that love into action. And so he rebranded his presidential campaign into his own personal grass-roots operation, Organizing for Action. Action item No. 1? Gun control.
It’s worth remembering that when Obama took up gun control in his State of the Union address, he set the bar at shin level for himself and for Senate Democrats. He didn’t demand victory, he demanded a mere vote on the issue.
Running through a list of victims he was all too eager to politicize— “The families of Newtown deserve a vote. The families of Aurora deserve a vote,” etc. — he brought the Democrats in the audience to their feet. Many in the press hailed it as one of the most moving moments of his presidency.
With the sort of willingness to politicize tragedy that is always denounced as the vilest cynicism when Republicans do anything of the sort, Obama and his paid Organizing for Action subalterns took to the streets and the airwaves waving the figurative bloody shirt of Newtown for months (with nary a peep of complaint from the same press corps that routinely denounced president Bush for politicizing 9/11).
But when it came time to clear the shin-level hurdle he set for himself and Organizing for Action, they face-planted in the ground well short of the target.
And now, the president is going to run the same play, again. “If this Congress refuses to listen to the American people and pass common-sense gun legislation, then the real impact is going to have to come from the voters,” he said in one of several bitter promises to turn gun control into an issue to win back Congress in 2014.
As Josh Kraushaar of National Journal noted, Obama couldn’t misread the political environment heading into 2014 any worse. Why? Because the places where the Democrats need to win to take back the House — the South and Mountain West — are precisely those areas where even many Democrats disagree with the president on gun control. Making it a central issue in 2014 is a boon to Republicans.
The upshot of this is that we will now endure nearly another two years of Obama haranguing us about how it’s him and “the people” against special interests and other evil forces who don’t care about murdered children. Washington will become more shrill and get even less done, all because Obama’s only play is a populist charade made possible by the fact he still believes his own bull----.

Post SamKat rant

Maybe I shouldn't become so emotional about innocent dead kids and adult, mamed innocents, and lying leftists.  God, please help me see and say "kinder and gentler".  I have two good friends, Rick and David who always use a Latin phrase: Sed pacus ..." which means "If you want peace, prepare for war.  Reagan got our preparedness up in the USA and obama and his henchmen would tear it, and us, down.

Fox News bringing pout the rest of the story ... SamKat rant!

What kind of faith should any American, leftist or rightest, have in this supposed President of the United States of America?  I tell you I have none.  Let's ask him again to say something about Benghazi.  Was he just a coward, or is he an islamic terrorist himself?  He loves to give speeches and spend our money on himself, on his family, and on his own adorers.

We must face up to it citizens, as John Wayne called us:  In our compassion for blacks, we elected a black PUSA.  We should have picked a qualified one.  The Chicago mafia and George Soros had more to do with the elections of 2008 and 2012 than we did.   In my old forgetful mind, I can't remember the Russian leader who said before the Cold war ended under Reagan and Thatcher, and many other good leaders:  "We can take America without firing a shot."  He and his country didn't, but the Islamic terrorists are doing it with IED's, pressure cookers, tacks, ball bearings, and whatever the "new skins" choose to place among innocent people throughout this world.  Most of the leftist media buoys up their efforts.  They have no shame!  Thank God for Fox News!  They stayed with the Boston Marathon Bombing story until more truths have come out than obama wanted known.  I believe he is part of the islamic jihad.  More is still being learned and this guy we let be our commander in chief, doesn't want any more truths revealed.

Now we are learning that these two characters did not act alone.  There are "new skin" cells with others ready to perform and receive their 72 virgins in  their hereafter.  Be careful enjoying decent ways of life in any free country in this world.

They are at war, but we aren't.  Besides giving this rant, I still believe the God of the universe is  still in control and his kinder and gentler ways are best!  Thank you God, for Jesus Christ who has shown us the way through tyrants and through those who won't wish us well!
