For Christian American readers of this blog:

I wish to incite all Christians to rise up and take back the United States of America with all of God's manifold blessings. We want the free allowance of the Bible and prayers allowed again in schools, halls of justice, and all governing bodies. We don't seek a theocracy until Jesus returns to earth because all men are weak and power corrupts the very best of them.
We want to be a kinder and gentler people without slavery or condescension to any.

The world seems to be in a time of discontent among the populace. Christians should not fear. God is Love, shown best through Jesus Christ. God is still in control. All Glory to our Creator and to our God!

A favorite quote from my good friend, Jack Plymale, which I appreciate:

"Wars are planned by old men,in council rooms apart. They plan for greater armament, they map the battle chart, but: where sightless eyes stare out, beyond life's vanished joys, I've noticed, somehow, all the dead and mamed are hardly more than boys(Grantland Rice per our mutual friend, Sarah Rapp)."

Thanks Jack!

I must admit that I do not check authenticity of my posts. If anyone can tell me of a non-biased arbitrator, I will attempt to do so more regularly. I know of no such arbitrator for the internet.

State with no Republicans ... Thx Lou F!

State with no Republicans

Some interesting data on the 'state' of Illinois...  There are more people on welfare in Illinois than there are people working. Chicago pays the highest wages to teachers than anywhere else in the U.S.averaging $110,000/year. Their pensions average 80-90% of their income. Wow, are Illinois andChicago great or what? Be sure to read till the end. I've never heard it explained better. Perhaps theU.S. should pull out of Chicago?  Body count: In the last six months, 292 killed (murdered) in Chicago.   221 killed in Iraq; AND Chicago has one of the strictest gun laws in the entire US.

Here's the Chicago chain of command:  President: Barack Hussein Obama · Senator: Dick Durbin · House Representative: Jesse Jackson Jr. · Governor: Pat Quinn · House leader: Mike Madigan · Atty. Gen.: Lisa Madigan (daughter of Mike) · Mayor: Rohm Emanuel · The leadership in Illinois - all Democrats. · Thank you for the combat zone in Chicago. · Of course, they're all blaming each other. · Can't blame Republicans; there aren't any! · Chicago school system rated one of the worst in the country.  Can't blame Republicans; there aren't any!

State pension fund $78 Billion in debt, worst in country.  Can't blame Republicans; there aren't any!

Cook County (Chicago) sales tax 10.25% highest in country. Can't blame Republicans; there aren't any!

This is the political culture that Obama comes from in Illinois. And he is going to 'fix' Washingtonpolitics for us?

George Ryan is no longer Governor, he is in the prison.

He was replaced by Rob Blajegovitch who is that's right, also in the prison.

And Representative Jesse Jackson Jr. resigned a couple of weeks ago, because he is fighting to not be sent to...that's right, prison.

The Land of Lincoln, where our governors make our license plates.  what?

As long as they keep providing entitlements to the population of Chicago, nothing is going to change, except the state will go broke before the country does.

"Anybody who thinks he can be happy and prosperous by letting the Government take care of him; better take a closer look at the American Indian."
Don’t forget Detroit another good example.

PART 2

Some of you might find these data interesting. ALL SHOULD.
There are actually two messages here.  The first is very interesting,
but the second is absolutely astounding -- and explains a lot!

A recent "Investor's Business Daily" article provided very interesting statistics from a survey by the United Nations International Health Organization.

Percentage of men and women who survived a cancer five years after diagnosis:
              U.S.                      65%
             England                46%
             Canada                 42%
Percentage of patients diagnosed with diabetes who received treatment within six months:
              U.S.                      93%
             England                15%
             Canada                 43%
Percentage of seniors needing hip replacement who received it within six months:
              U.S.                      90%
             England                15%
             Canada                 43%
Percentage referred to a medical specialist who see one within one month:
             U.S.                      77%
             England                40%
             Canada                 43%
Number of MRI scanners (a prime diagnostic tool) per million people:
              U.S.                       71
             England                 14
             Canada                  18
Percentage of seniors (65+), with low income, who say they are in "excellent health":
              U.S.                     12%
             England                2%
             Canada                 6%
And now for the last statistic:

National Health Insurance?
              U.S.                     NO
             England               YES
             Canada                YES

And check this last set of statistics!!

The percentage of each past president's cabinet who had worked in the private business sector prior to their appointment to the cabinet.....

You know what the private business sector is.  A real-life business, not a Government job.

Here are the percentages:
            T. Roosevelt................... 38%
            Taft.................................40%
            Wilson ........................... 52%
            Harding.......................... 49%
            Coolidge........................  48%
            Hoover ...........................42%
            F. Roosevelt................... 50%
            Truman...........................50%
            Eisenhower....................  57%
            Kennedy......................... 30%
            Johnson..........................47%
            Nixon..............................53%
            Ford................................42%
            Carter.............................32%
            Reagan...........................56%
            GH Bush.........................51%
            Clinton  ..........................39%
            GW Bush........................55%
            Obama............................. 8%

This helps to explain the incompetence of this administration: only 8% of them have ever worked in private business!

That's right!  Only eight percent -- the least, by far, of the last 19 presidents!  And these people are trying to tell our big Corporations how to run their business?

How can the president of a major nation and society, the one with the most successful economic system in world history, stand and talk about business when he's never worked for one?  Or about jobs when he has never really had one?  And when it's the same for 92% of his senior staff and closest advisers?

They've spent most of their time in academia, Government and/or non-profit jobs or as "community organizers."  They should have been in an employment line.

Pass this on because we'll NEVER see these facts in the mainstream media.

Required readings in the fifties: Thx George Orwell "1984" !

Required readings in school:

How sad it is when our schools have dumbed down in true substance of required readings!

George Orwell's "1984" appeared as so much future "nevah happen" when he had it published in 1949, but it is encroaching all of us in our secular-progressive America of today.  Doublethink and doublespeak, in which political lies have become so common, most voters do not recognize the difference between those lies and long-recognized truths, is absolutely scary in this society.  One book of a trilogy of same including the Russian Zamyatin in his book "We" and Aldous Huxley in his "Brave New World" expressed a warning for the future which is upon us.

It would create an enormous addition to the education of our youth to require such reading today but the left wing media would certainly move to put such ideas down.

Sam the America that we knew and loved is all but gone. The single

Jack,

America is savable.  I am a Tea Party guy.  The media wants to destroy
us, but we are the hope of the Republican party.  I'm with the Ted
Cruz, Marco Rubio, Sarah Palin, and all other true conservatives.
With only two parties, the democrats have deserted America's middle
class and gone for the socialist regime, but the other party is our
only hope.  I hope you stay around to win back the House and Senate in
2014.  I want your vote youngster!

I should remind my old Torjan friend, Jack, that Dave Spriggs bet that
team (I forget which one) which had a chance to beat the Trojans on
our one yard line that they wouldn't score.  They didn't in four downs
I believe you told me, and Dave barged into their locker room after
the game and collected from each opponent bettor.  The fat lady (Kate
Smith) ain't around to sing again, but the game is not over good
friend.

 Important addition by Jack P!
It was Middletown. on their field. First and goal on the five yard
line. Daves' comment. "I'll bet any son-of-a-bitch over there 50 cents
you don't score. The game ended 0 to 0. Jim , Doc, and I went up there
for the basketball game that winter(Middletoen ran the Trojans off the
floor) and we ran into a bunch of guys who had been on their football
team and they treated us like we were long lost relatives. Later
Walker interviewed and got the basketball coaching job at Middletown.
He told us we got him that job( He is now in the High school hall of
fame.  as a coach)He said that the hiring committee ask him a few
routine basketball questions and then they only wanted to talk about
the football game we had there, that fall.I have a lot of beautiful
memories of PHS. Not just athletic. Jim. Doc and I had Miss Henriette
Dupuy three years for math courses and we all just loved that woman.
like she was an old maiden aunt and so gullible and vulnerable( but
totally  capable. A happy, happy four years were spent at PHS. Jack P

Memories of greatness ... Thx Jack P!

to me
Sam. Paul Walker was positive proof that the expression,'Nice guys
finish last" was an absolute fallacy. One of the nicest guys who ever
came up the road and yet an unbelievable task master. It was a pure joy
to play for him and even more of a joy to have him for a friend.
Needless to say, You couldn't have better friends or teammates than
Doc and Jim. There will never be a week go by that I don't think of
them , at least, once. Jack P PS. Walker might make you feel jnferior,
but I am just as sure he would find something about you that he
admired and envied greatly. He was just kind of person.
