For Christian American readers of this blog:

I wish to incite all Christians to rise up and take back the United States of America with all of God's manifold blessings. We want the free allowance of the Bible and prayers allowed again in schools, halls of justice, and all governing bodies. We don't seek a theocracy until Jesus returns to earth because all men are weak and power corrupts the very best of them.
We want to be a kinder and gentler people without slavery or condescension to any.

The world seems to be in a time of discontent among the populace. Christians should not fear. God is Love, shown best through Jesus Christ. God is still in control. All Glory to our Creator and to our God!

A favorite quote from my good friend, Jack Plymale, which I appreciate:

"Wars are planned by old men,in council rooms apart. They plan for greater armament, they map the battle chart, but: where sightless eyes stare out, beyond life's vanished joys, I've noticed, somehow, all the dead and mamed are hardly more than boys(Grantland Rice per our mutual friend, Sarah Rapp)."

Thanks Jack!

I must admit that I do not check authenticity of my posts. If anyone can tell me of a non-biased arbitrator, I will attempt to do so more regularly. I know of no such arbitrator for the internet.

A sobering perspective

Putting things in perspective:

March 21st 2010 to October 1 2013 is 3 years, 6 months, 10 days.

December 7, 1941 to May 8, 1945 is 3 years, 5 months, 1 day.
What this means is that in the time we were attacked at Pearl Harbor to the day Germany surrendered is not enough time for this federal government to build a working webpage.
Mobilization of millions, building tens of thousands of tanks, planes, jeeps, subs, cruisers, destroyers, torpedoes, millions upon millions of guns, bombs, ammo, etc. Turning the tide in North Africa, Invading Italy, D-Day, Battle of the Bulge, Race to Berlin - all while we were also fighting the Japanese in the Pacific!!
And they can't build a webpage?

Christ ... Thx Marge R!

Jesus Test

This is an easy test, you score 100 or zero. It's your choice.
If you aren't ashamed to do this, please follow the directions.
Jesus said, 'if you are ashamed of me, I will be ashamed of you

before my Father.'

This is the simplest test. If you Love God, and are not ashamed of all
the marvelous things he has done for you. Send this to friends & family.
A prayer for you

Please Do not break! JUST 27 WORDS.

GOD OUR FATHER, WALK THROUGH MY HOUSE AND TAKE AWAY ALL
OUR WORRIES AND ILLNESSES; AND PLEASE WATCH OVER AND HEAL
OUR COUNTRY, IN JESUS ' NAME.. AMEN
X.MA13.1379967855This prayer is so powerful. Pass this prayer to other people. Do not break

or ask questions. This is a test. Does God come first in your life? If so,
stop what you're doing and send to other people.
NOW WATCH WHAT HE DOES God Bless You.

Read the story, and absolutely love what these kids did.  Too bad I can't see the video as I live outside of the US - I bet the video would truly go viral if you opened that up to the rest of the world.

Steve Hartman meets the Olivet Eagles, a middle school football team who took a fledgling player under their wing and executed what may be the most successful play of all time.

This video is not about blogging, but it is a tip about being thoughtful, kind and supporting the team! A great way to start the weekend!

Checkout this Football team from Olivet, Michigan as they make one of the greatest plays ever.

They are all ROCKSTARS!!

Out of the mouths of babes.  Adults can learn a valuable lesson about the younger generation.  The parents of the children on the Olivet Middle School football team should be proud of the young adults they have raised.

Wow.... no surprise, but were I narrating this, my voice would be breaking up at the end as well.  Touching as hell, especially for a father of a kid who is very much the same in many ways.

This is awesome. Some of us just need to give back and not think everything is about themselves and their friends only. Their are other kids in this world that don't have friends because of the way they act or because of the way they look. This is so inspirational. Even though their are only about 60 middle school in my school we still have bullying. Let's try to be nicer, sit next to someone who doesn't have friends and become friends with them. Be Kind!

This is truly such an awesome story. It honestly warms my heart to see that kids so young recognize what it means to care and be selfless. Especially at a time in their lives when most others are only worried about themselves.

I am so proud of these guys. You boys bring honor to our school! You are amazing. Keith Orr, Congrats! Realize Keith, that your "team" is ALL former and future players. May your future be bright!

Just goes to show that being older doesn't make you more mature. Seems some NFL players (a.k.a. Incognito) can learn a thing or two from these guys. http://ow.ly/qyIo3

Wow! what a extraordinary education of these guys! I wish my son will be like they, with good feelings for the others and lot of empathy.
Faith in humanity a bit restored.

if you've ever experienced true loneliness, bullying, social abandonment (hope you understand that word, even though it doesn't really exist), or any other form of adversity, like I have, you can't help but shed just a little tear, 'cause this probably changed the young guy's life. I can't explain how, and people who have been "popular" all their lives will probrably think people like that are wimps, 'cause they can't understand just how much it means to other people who's never been popular. it means the world to people like me, just to hear the word "hi", "hello" or "good morning".

I know exactly what you mean. Until I actually started going to school at Olivet I was physically tortured. the schools I had been to before literally let kids beat me with sticks, baseball bats and verbally abuse me. Olivet Schools is the first time I ever felt wanted by others. I am so glad to call myself an Olivet High School graduate. Best thing that ever happened to me. From an old football player to Keith, great job! good luck in all your ventures!

This is a bloody remarkable video, how even 102 people can dislike this is beyond me. Its videos like this annoy me that theres even a like/dislike bar to begin with...just get rid of it now, what even good does it do? Sweet nothing. Infact had enough of these bloody pointless features on Youtube, the past 5 years have been bloody annoying with Google getting there filthy hands on Youtube and mucking it about. go away. But anyway back on topic, wonderful video! Just amazing that humanity is not totally fucked.

feel so special that my mother's hometown made national news in a good and impacting way. My mother grew up in the Olivet county, and my grandmother worked as a office secretary in that exact middle school for many years.

the world is full of hate. intolerance, and selfish ambition. To finally see something as mature and down right respectful and caring as what these kids did puts a lump in my throat, sad to say these kids act more like adults than some adults ive seen

Best video I've seen in a long time!  These kids are amazing individuals. Middle school aged kids are typically so afraid to go against the popular norm, fearing it will cause them to be 'unpopular', so it is refreshing to see how compassionate they are towards the boy/teammate who has learning disabilities.

I love these kids. Good god, they're fantastic... and what a great thing to see so much character celebrated on the news. It's exceptionalism that's real, not contrived.  And by the way, love that kid Keith too... he had me tearing up with the hugs. Makes me hope my son grows up to be as good as these young men.

I had to watch this twice. It was so precious, and the boy's tear streaming down his sweet face,at the end of the video, showed he learned an invaluable lesson.
