Australia Blames US, Not Assange, for WikiLeaks
Australian Foreign Minister Kevin Rudd says he blames the United States, not WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange, for the release of secret U.S. diplomatic cables.
Rudd said Wednesday that the people who originally leaked the documents were legally liable for their distribution by the WikiLeaks website. He said the leaks pointed to problems with U.S. security.
WikiLeaks has released a new batch of U.S. documents, despite the arrest and jailing of its founder Assange in London Tuesday. The latest cables say that the British government feared Libya would take "harsh and immediate" action against British interests if the convicted Lockerbie bomber died in a Scottish prison.
A U.S. diplomat wrote in a 2009 cable that Libya used "thuggish" threats to halt trade deals with Britain and harass British citizens in Libya if Libyan Abdel Baset al-Megrahi remained in jail. His released last year raised tensions between Washington and London.
Megrahi was convicted of the 1988 attack that blew up a Pan Am passenger plane over Lockerbie, Scotland, killing 259 people aboard the plane and 11 people on the ground. Most of the passengers were U.S. citizens.
The latest release came with a defiant message online that promised the flow of secret documents would continue.
Assange was denied bail in London Tuesday. He is fighting extradition Sweden, where he is wanted for questioning about alleged sex offenses. The court has ordered Arrange held in British custody until his next hearing on December 14.
Swedish prosecutor Marianne Ny says the investigation has nothing to do with WikiLeaks , which has angered the U.S. government by publishing secret U.S. diplomatic cables. Ny said she has no intention of handing Assange over to the United States if he is extradited to Sweden.
The case against Assange stems from his encounters with two women in August. His lawyer says the dispute is over what he called "consensual but unprotected sex" and alleged the charges are politically motivated.
U.S. officials said Tuesday some foreign governments have already grown reluctant to trust the U.S. because of the secrets revealed by WikiLeaks. State Department spokesman P.J. Crowley said meetings that used to involve several diplomats now have fewer. He said that in at least one case, it was requested that "notebooks be left outside the room."
Pentagon spokesman Dave Lapan said the U.S. military has seen foreign contacts "pulling back."
Neither Crowley nor Lapan provided specific examples of countries that have reduced their contacts with U.S. officials because of the leaks. The cables contain potentially damaging reports on governments in a number of countries including Pakistan, Afghanistan, Saudi Arabia, Turkey and Russia.

FLORIDA COURT SETS ATHEIST HOLY DAY
In Florida , an atheist created a case against Easter and Passover Holy days.
He hired an attorney to bring a discrimination case against Christians and Jews and observances of their holy days. The argument was that it was unfair that atheists had no such recognized days.
The case was brought before a judge. After listening to the passionate presentation by the lawyer, the judge banged his gavel declaring, "Case dismissed!"
The lawyer immediately stood objecting to the ruling saying, "Your honor, How can you possibly dismiss this case? The Christians have Christmas, Easter and others. The Jews have Passover, Yom Kippur and Hanukkah, yet my client and all other atheists have no such holidays.."
The judge leaned forward in his chair saying, "But you do. Your client, counsel, is woefully ignorant."
The lawyer said, "Your Honor, we are unaware of any special observance or holiday for atheists."
The judge said, "The calendar says April 1st is April Fools Day. Psalm 14:1 states, 'The fool says in his heart, there is no God.' Thus, it is the opinion of this court, that, if your client says there is no God, then he is a fool. Therefore, April 1st is his day.
Court is adjourned.."; You gotta love a Judge that knows his scripture!

Sam is thinking seriously... in a dangerous time
I love the irony of the characters in the wizard of Oz. The scarecroiw wanted to get a brain, yet he figured out the various dilemmas Dorothy and her compatriots faced. The lion wanted courage yet he always displayed it outside of his easily weeping. The tin man wanted a heart, yet he always showed compassion throughout. Wonderful story!
Switching to the serious confrontations of America now. Most who know me know that I claim to be a Christian Conservative. I claim no holiness just the forgiveness of our Holy Father through Jesus Christ. A couple of friends recentlyasked if I would vote for Glenn Beck, Bill O'Riley, or Sarah Palin. I certainly would! Any would be ten times and more better than the current president.
A recent email claimed that obama's dislike of our country was from what he claims as our colonialist history. He learned in colonial countries. He has missed some good teaching. Sure there have beern "Ugly Americans" visiting throughout the world as there have been many ugly humans from whatever country.
We have a few sattelite states such as Puerto Rico and a few others, but they aren't suffering from American presence. The land we have paid for from other countries is mainly that to bury our dead fighters who fought for everybody's protection on foreign soils.
Glenn Beck and Bill O'Riley are being severely attacked by o's cohorts and he hopes to quiet them and then any of us who express our dissatisfaction with his efforts to completely change our country by eliminating our freedoms.
I will poorly relate this story by Glenn Beck yesterday on radio:
In Germany the gentleman related back to his kindly father.
When taxes were being increased, his father said: "That's ok, it can't get worse than that."
When police actions against innocent civilians increased, he said the same thing.
When his cousin disappeared mysteriously, again he said: "That's ok, It can't get worse than that."
The Gestapo came and arrested him and took him off to jail. His son visited and his father said: That's ok. It can't get worse than that.
The son learned that a trainfull of German Jews were being trained away. He went to the station and found his father who was last to get on. His son pushed his father into the overfilled train car to allow the door to shut. His father mimicked as the train left for Auchswitz: "That's ok. It can't get worse than that."
He never saw his father again.
I recently wrote that cowards voted for obama. I apologize for that. They were mainly acting wrongheadedly. However, the "o" voters were badly mistaken and should admit their error.
So many friends and family hang to their progressive left leaning ways. I hear : "That's ok. It can't get worse than that."
This narcissistic POUSA will destroy all that he possibly can. If we still have thinking, courage, and compassionas individuals, and if only for our own families, please don't let me hear you say: "That's ok. It can't get worse than that."
I am not meaning to say "Gloom and Doom" because I truly believe that God is so much stronger and wiser and compassionate than the despotic devils who would destroy America.
