Bruce Thomas Metallurgical Engineer

Bruce Thomas was an outstanding Metallurgical Engineer for the Timken Company. He gave up the industrial life to become a house painter and I am sure that he did that very well. He was also an astute investor and he befriended my oldest son, Jay, Columbus librarian then at Hilliard, and passed on some $ wisdom to him. He also gave me a fine set of about fifty or so metallographic samples which are still used in the Metallurgy Laboratory at Defense Supply Center Columbus. Bruce and I also shared adjunct kinship at Columbus State Community College. I didn't know the family well, but we just should not forget God's great people like Metallurgist Bruce Thomas.
