Fundamental liberal philosophy ... Yep, friend!

Does this explain liberals to you?

"This is sheer genius."

In a bid to stem taxpayer losses for bad loans guaranteed by federal housing agencies Fanny Mae and Freddy Mac, Senator Bob Corker (R-Tenn.) proposed that borrowers be required to make a 5% down payment in order to qualify.

His proposal was rejected 57-42 on a party-line vote because, as Senator Chris Dodd (D-Conn) explained, "Passage of such a requirement would restrict home ownership to only those who can afford it."

I can't add anything to this

SamKat will add a little though:

This is easy for you to say, friend. You worked hard, saved a little change, and always tried to mind your p's and q's. Are you trying to say real benefits from our "partnership" system with our government should be rewarded by hard work and honesty? I resemble that remark.

Jeanie and I have bought three houses (mortgaged) and have paid ten per cent down each time. How dumb we must be for thinking such money deals have helped keep America great. The banks have benefitted from interest 'earned'. The government non-representatives of "We, the People" encourage those who don't work, to keep up the good non-work!

Go Tea Party! Ignore our national media and simple minded 'representatives' like Chris Dodd (D).
