More Johnny Rapp ... thanks Sarah!

Sam, Johnny was in the service during the gulf scare 1955-56 and we lived in Albuquerque where he was based. as an MP

Jack is right, he was too nice a guy~!!

and he worked on his Uncle's dairy farm from the time he was 10..his father was a Dr in Portsmouth.

Jack Plymale tells about Johnny Rapp, Sarah DuPuy Rapp's deceased husband:

Sam, I don't know whether you had the opportunity to know Sarah Rapp's husband or not. He was as fine a guy as you ever knew. A sophomore guard on our ' 44" team, He and Walt Green were a pair of fine sophomores. They didn't get to play much that year, but they made the team. Johnny was very strong. I think from his father requiring that he work regularly on the farm. He was too nice a guy to be a real good football player. He just didn't like to shed other peoples blood. We were both guards along with Nick Butts(an old mound park guy) and Howard Pollitt. Johnny and I were both MPs during the Korean war but never ran into each other( I'm pretty sure that he and Sarah were married then. Jack P
