Catholics Contibuting members to America in a large way! ... Thx Ramey H!

If you are using a screen reader, you may wish to switch to basic HTML for a better experience.

The Catholics were always so "together" that I had a few fights with them and there was much prejudice
played by Protestants and Catholics.  Catholics are an important part of the Christian Conservative movement
in America, and I am personally grateful for all of my Catholic friends.  They had many rituals only partially understood by us Protestants.  Today, I count them part of the great Tea Party movement which I and many others share.

Even If You're Not

Catholic....

The Church absolutely has a problem, BUT, the country has an even bigger One.
Even If You’re Not Catholic... When the Catholic Church was founded, there were no hospitals. Today, oneout of five
people in this country receive their medical care at a Catholic hospital.

When the Catholic Church was founded, there were no schools. Today, the
Catholic Church teaches 3 million students a day, in its more than 250
Catholic Colleges and Universities, in its more than 1200 Catholic High
Schools and its more than 5000 Catholic grade schools in the USA.

Every day, the Catholic Church feeds, clothes, shelters and educates more
people than any other organization in the world.

The new Obama Health Mandate could end all this and the tax payers would
have to make up the loss. Also, all Catholic adoption services would come
to an end. A human disaster.

There are more than 77 million Catholics in this country. It takes an
estimated 50 million Catholic votes to elect a president. I am asking all
of you to go to the polls in 2014 and be united in replacing all Senators
and Reps with someone who will respect the Catholic Church, all
Christians, and all Religions besides Islam.

Obama said, "The USA is not a Christian Nation." You are wrong - we are a
Christian Nation founded on Judeo-Christian values allowing all religions
in America to Worship and Practice Freely. Something Islam will never do.

Oh, by the way, on Muslim heritage in America...

Have you ever been to a Muslim hospital...?
...a Muslim orchestra?
...seen a Muslim band march in a parade?
...witnessed a Muslim charity?
...seen Muslims shaking hands with a Muslim Girl Scout?
...seen a Muslim Candy Striper in any hospital?
...seen a Muslim do anything that contributes positively to the American way of life?

I didn't think so.

In God We Trust.

Keep this going.......Everyone in the world needs to read this......

Harry Truman- Never will be another like him ... Thx Tom & Carolyn L!

TRUMAN Indeed-YOU WILL NEVER SEE THIS AGAIN]

Our best Pres. ever, I think so.....,

Wish we had him back or a man like HIM!!!!!

MY HOW TIMES HAVE CHANGED !!!!!!

Another excellent example of what is known as “the good old days"
Thought you'd enjoy this!
It's one you want your Children and Grandchildren to read.
They won't believe this happened, but it DID.
Harry & Bess
(This seems unreal.)
Harry Truman was a different kind of President. He probably made as many, or more important decisions regarding our nation's history as any of the other 32 Presidents preceding him. However, a measure of his greatness may rest on what he did after he left the White House.

The only asset he had when he died was the house he lived in, which was in Independence Missouri . His wife had inherited the house from her mother and father and other than their years in the White House, they lived their entire lives there

When he retired from office in 1952 his income was a U.S. Army pension reported to have been $13,507.72 a year. Congress, noting that he was paying for his stamps and personally licking them, granted him an 'allowance' and later, a retroactive pension of $25,000 per year.

After President Eisenhower was inaugurated, Harry and Bess drove home to Missouri by themselves. There was no Secret Service following them.

When offered corporate positions at large salaries, he declined, stating, "You don't want me. You want the office of the President, and that doesn't belong to me.. It belongs to the American people and it's not for sale."

Even later, on May 6, 1971, when Congress was preparing to award him the Medal of Honor on his 87th birthday, he refused to accept it, writing, "I don't consider that I have done anything which should be the reason for any award, Congressional or otherwise."

As president he paid for all of his own travel expenses and food.

Modern politicians have found a new level of success in cashing in on the Presidency, resulting in untold wealth. Today, too many in Congress also have found a way to become quite wealthy while enjoying the fruits of their offices. Political offices are now for sale (ie. Illinois ).

Good old Harry Truman was correct when he observed, "My choices in life were either to be a piano player in a whore house or a politician. And to tell the truth, there's hardly any difference!

We ought to have cloned him!

If you agree, forward it. If you don't, delete it. I don't want to know one way or the other. By me forwarding it, you know how I feel.

Enjoy life now -- it has an expiration date!
