The Pendulum Swings ... SamKat aka Sam Kegley, Westerville, OH

The Pendulum Swings

Times are certainly changing

When I was young I was a democrat

My mother never talked politics

My dad had converted to FDR

Families normally vote with their parents if they vote at all

We were blue collar

Dad a railroader while Mom raised ten kids

Blue collar workers and all union workers

followed the liberal-Progressive line of the democrats fairly blindly

As kids became educated during the forties and fifties

By mainly conservative teachers ,

Many, mainly Christians, changed their thoughts to conservatism with truth sanctified

Never all of course, but sufficiently so to create like- thinking voters

And politicians who commanded unending funds

Steadily changed our way of life

Upton Sinclair had written “The Jungle” in 1906

Which profoundly changed the meatpacking industry in Chicago and America due

to Teddy Roosevelt’s presidential and congressional action

Selfishness ruins any system man, and even God, has created

God stood alone in not giving it its’ way.

The point is that the selfishness of supposedly selfless  socialists

Created communist systems in which the “Party”

Lived so much better than the Proletariat, ostensibly in the USSR

(Union of Soviet Socialist Russia), China, Cuba, Venezuela and several others.

The leaders proved by their selfishness and control, that their own followers

Were privileged over the  proletariat

Thusly we live in a continually worsening troubled world

Whereby the real contributors (workers and earners) become fewer

While the followers grow more and more as takers

until the system just does not work

Some mistake God’s own system as weak because

He stressed love and caring

But our loving God also has wrath much stronger than any fascist system

And as with Noah’s Ark and the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah

God must be tiring of His people’s iniquities

To the point of our destruction although only He knows when

Our economy swings From the apex on the left

where we need socialistic steps to the Nadir on the bottom

where there is a very temporary  balance
to the apex on the right where we need definite corrections

or a return to better our  system

We continue on our economic swings

I pray for the inevitable love and kindness of our Christian God

I HOPE THERE ISN'T ANYONE ON MY E-MAIL LIST THAT WON'T KEEP THIS GOING.            Happy 4th of July!....

Let' s get this started ,NOW!

So it will be out there on the fourth!

I PLEDGE ALLEGIANCE TO THE FLAG, OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA , AND TO THE REPUBLIC, FOR WHICH IT STANDS,
ONE NATION UNDER  GOD , INDIVISIBLE, WITH   LIBERTY
AND JUSTICE FOR ALL!

KEEP IT LIT!! KEEP IT LIT!
For all of our other military personnel, where ever they may be.
Please Support all of the troops defending our Country.
And God Bless our Military
who are protecting our Country for our Freedom.
Thanks to them, and their sacrifices, we can celebrate the 4th of  July.

We must never forget who gets the credit for the freedoms we have,  of which we should be eternally grateful.

I watched the flag pass by one day.
It fluttered in the breeze.

A young Marine saluted it,
And then he stood at ease.

I looked at him in uniform;
so young, so tall, so proud.
With hair cut square and eyes alert,
he'd stand out in any crowd.

I thought how many men like him
had fallen through the years.
How many died on foreign soil;
  how many mothers' tears?

How many pilots' planes shot down?
How many died at sea?
How many foxholes were soldiers' graves?
NO, FREEDOM ISN'T FREE
!
I heard the sound of Taps one night,
when everything was still.
I listened to the bugler play
And felt a sudden chill.

I wondered just how many times
That Taps had meant 'Amen.'

When a flag had draped a coffin
of a brother or a friend.

I thought of all the children,
of the mothers and the wives,
of fathers, sons and husbands
With interrupted lives.

I thought about a graveyard
At the bottom of the sea.

Of unmarked graves in   Arlington .
NO FREEDOM ISN'T FREE

Enjoy Your Freedom   and
God Bless Our Troops.

When you receive this,

please stop for a moment
and say a prayer for our servicemen

Of all the gifts you could give a
U.S. Soldier, prayer is the very best one.
      God Bless all!

Until God opens the next door, Praise him in the hallway! :)
