Guys, when I first heard the term “Boneyfiddle” used in reference to a district of Portsmouth, my first thought was , “where the heck is that?” I’ve been curious as to the origin of the term. The link above provides the answer.
Very interesting, Denny!
I've seen the Henry Massie name before in Portsmouth lore.
There was Henry Massie School superintendent who came into our Highland
eigth Ms. Pattyerson's English class and gave a simple sentence lesson, whereby
He identified the grammatical sense of each word and its part of the sentence.
He gave my most memorable Grammar teaching in that short lesson. He was, no
doubt a descendant of thereferenced Henry Massie and he was a brilliant.
