"Women's sports get boost in TV ratings, visibility" per this June 19, 21 "Sports Extra" not-to-be-missed article!
I, this blue-collar railroader's son and retired metallurgicaL engineer, have felt so many blessings in life. The sport of softball is nearly
the pinnacle for "Old Sammy", particularly little girls' softball. Portsmouth Ohio area friends, Graydon Webb's lifetime
acquaintance with Charles Ison, the entrepreneur of Creative Network Studios, have brought about the screenplay
"Diamond Girls" by Nathan Wheeler of CNS, based upon my "Grandparents and Softball" book subtitled; "Girls Love Softball".
As a University of Kentucky alumnus of many years ago, I subscribe to the Lexington Herald-Leader online mainly to keep up
with UK basketball. My wife, 90-year young Jeanie, and I, keep up with the UK teams and have had a terrific year of watching
their ladies' sports teams this spring. In watching the UK ladies' teams win the National Volleyball Championship, and also enjoy a very
successful softball season. We have especially enjoyed the "Sports Extra" the LH-L includes.
The delayed 2020 Tokyo Olympics are extremely probable here in 2020, and "Diamond Girls" might enjoy a 'kick-in-the-pants' or KITP charge
for the opening games on July 20, 21, within a month.
Old Sammy believes NBC Olympic coverage and Charles Ison's friends at NBC could give a 'sold-sign' boost to production, if completed
before or in the shortest time thereafter.
Everyone has witnessed that Sports professional salaries have been sky-rocketed through media efforts over the last few decades, and barring
'Armageddon', the ladies will most likely enjoy a KITP breakthrough in sports entertainment with the 2021 coverage out of the COVID 19-
devastated 2020 year. Please see:
