Hi Sam,
I read the EMail you got from Jack Plymale on your blog
yesterday regarding the rainy weather in Costa Rico with
nothing much to do but read. I have the same trouble due
to the cold snowy weather in Michigan. This morning it is
minus 3 degrees and we have had lots of snow ever since
late in November.
I hate to go outside for fear of falling and breaking my hip
or leg so I kinda hibernate for a few months. I love to read
your blog usually early in the morning and EMails that I
receive from my friends. I don't know what I would do
without my PC in the winter months. It opens up the
whole world to me and keeps me in touch with my
friends as well as all the news I care to read.
I really appreciate the effort and time you put into your
blog as it keeps me in touch and informed with my PTown
past. I have lived in Michigan for 45 years but my love for
Portsmouth will never cease. Thanks again Sam for all your
great EMails & books.
Pat,
Your response in so welcome and Thanks! You and Jack are major correspondents for my e-mails and my blogs.
I know what you mean about the computer. Jeanie has named mine Hilda and she is very gracious in letting me spend time with her. I have had a couple of falls in the last couple of years. They can surely be dangerous to us of the PHS 50 class.
The effort is fun and I enjoy the wonderful things you can learn on the word machine which stays in touch with the world outside our homes.
Would that Gwili Fisher and Carl Clark would buy one so that we could better keep in touch with them.
