Norwalk, OH and Clark Rapalee...

Jeanie and I drove through Norwalk Friday morning on our way to the Dawg Days Huron Softball Tournament for our thirteern year old granddaughter, Tobey. I thought of my friend Clark and how his life may have been spent there. I'm sure Rapp had a good life there.

Jeanie and I were sharing hot dogs between games Saturday afternoon and spoke with a man and his husky son (a Norwalk football player). The gentleman was a school principal in Norwalk for the last 22 years. Rapp must have moved to FL before the man mpved to Norwalk; however, I gave him my card and asked if he should talk with somebody who knew Clark to have them e-mail me. He was going to mention it to the Superintendant.

I am glad that Clark stopped by our home several years ago and spent time talking with Gib Lakerman and me. Clay Vice had Clark for a teacher at Portsmouth Clay High School, and Jack Plymale told me of sharing a room with Rapp in Charleston on a Trojan football trip.

Liz Rapalee Lyons, Rapp's daughter, e-mailed me after reading the posts about him on this blog. She was so proud of her father and wanted any other info that came by me or others. Liz is a lawyer, going by the name Elizabeth Rapalee.
