Portsmouth events for us this week and next-Sam

Tomorrow morning the Portsmouth Cronies of the Columbus area plan to meet at 9:30 at the Chef-O-Nette in Upper arlington. Dick Klitch, Smokey Gibson, Charlie Tubbs, Chet Corbitt, Blaine Bierley, Paul Bierley, and Nelson Barkley have indicated they plan to be there so far. Any male or female who has a bit of culture from the Cultural Center of Our Universe is welcome.

Next Friday morning at 8AM Barb Pratt is scheduled to interview Dick Klitch, Jeanie and me on WNXT in Portsmouth, regarding my new book Grandparents and Softball. We will meet with Bob looney and some Mound Park Urchins for breakfast at Bob's about 9:30. Dick Klitch will then be returning to Columbus, but Jeanie and I will meet with our New Boston friends in the PM. Jeanie and I look forward to the experience of watching Portsmouth vs. Warren at 7:30 that evening in the new and beautiful Trojan Coliseum.

Next Saturday we will have a book signing at the Portsmouth Public Library from 10 AM to noon. We hope to see many Portsmouth interviewees of my previous books as well as new friends and old at the signing.

The book is fiction, is small, and is $10 a copy; whereas the CD audio (about an hour listening) of the book is $7.50.

Portsmouth people have been best to me in buying my books and I will explain that this work of fiction has a Portsmouth flavor as all of my seven books have had.

I am especially indebted to Jenny Lavendar and Joe Newberry for setting up the radio and book signing Portsmouth events. Friend Bob Looney is gathering the few remaing Mound Park Urchins of the area for the Friday breakfast.

Thanks for reading,

Sam
