You Are Watching a Play -
The Occupy Wall Street movement, with their nonstop press coverage is a play that is being put on by the Obama administration’s reelection campaign.
The first thing to notice is that the press coverage of this event is on every network and is running nonstop. Since talk radio covers the main stream press, they too are covering this story. Remember that the Tea Party had 1.2 million people march on Washington DC and they didn’t get this much coverage. Glenn Beck had 650,000 people fill the Washington DC Mall, and it didn’t get this much coverage. Yet, Occupy Wall Street with a few thousand at best, is getting 24 hour, nonstop press coverage. Why?
It’s a small world -
Occupy Wall Street is taking place in Zuccotti Park, a private park owned by a private corporation called Brookfield Office Properties (BOP). Mayor Bloomberg claims he can’t clear the protesters, who are defecating in the park and blocking local businesses, unless the park’s owners ask him to clear the park...and they ain’t asking. The mayor’s longtime girlfriend, Diane L. Taylor, is on the Board of Directors for Brookfield Office Properties. Brookfield Office Properties is a major client of the newly created lobbying firm, Oldaker, Biden, and Belair (OBB). Yes, that’s Vice President Biden’s son, Hunter. OBB and BOP have been wildly successful in receiving hundreds of millions of dollars in government grants for green energy projects similar to Solyndra. In fact, just last week, as they protesters occupied their New York private park, Zuccotti Park, they got a fresh $168 million from the Obama administration. It’s a small world after all, it’s a small world after all, it’s a small, small world.
It gets better -
Who is Zuccotti? It turns out John E. Zuccotti, the man for whom the park is named, is a longtime member of the Board of Directors of WellPoint Health Networks, an HMO. This company received very favorable treatment in the ObamaCare legislation and stands to make billions when it is fully implemented.
Conclusion -
The protesters are protesting corporate greed in a private corporate park owned by Obama insiders. The Obama campaign is getting billions in free air time for their central campaign message that our economic problems are the result of Wall Street corporate greed which the Republicans refuse to regulate. Obama is the largest recipient of Wall Street money in history and has refused to prosecute the people responsible for the 2008 economic collapse.
When you take a government to the left, toward socialism, you necessarily open the door for more government corruption as someone has to confiscate the wealth before it can be distributed. Obama is distributing the money to people who support his campaign.
Counterargument -
The useful idiots in the park are arguing for distributing the wealth. You could hit them with the above arguments, but there is an easier argument. As governments move toward socialism the middle class shrinks. Look at Venezuela, Cuba, North Korea, and even Sweden. Sweden’s middle class was built up before 1970 when they were not socialist. Since that time it has been shrinking (similar to the U.S.) and they are moving away from those policies.
