Editorial-Ridiculous spending in primaries

I believe the individual state votes on candidates is ridiculous!  In the election year, there should be one national caucus vote for each major and even for a minor party if they can afford it.  Just reading about the costs of winning the national election this November is staggering.  The silver-spoon rich are not the only capable of running this country.

Not that the primary money would be spent on helping america's poor instead of campaign expenses.  It just wouldn't.

Columbus' Defense Supply Center Columbus had the finest Value Engineering Department in the country and had millions of dollars in savings to lead the Department of Defense each year.  That money didn't reach through the filters of the federal government to get back to us taxpayers.

The system could be a whole lot better- yet I fall back to the famous Winston Churchill quote:  "Democracy is the worst form of government in the world ... except for any other kind."

Term limits in- career politicians out!  We need to spread out the representation so that the politicians may actually represent the constituents.

Please vote obama out!
