Jack Plymale- about Walt Green

Sam, I was glad to hear that you had sent Walt Green a copy of your book. Walt, Johnny Rapp...'and Dave Thomas were the only sophomores who made our undefeated team in 1944. Walt was the smallest of the three. He was tougher than an outhouse rat and one of the nicest people you ever met. ----- One thing, he went to Eastern State Teachers college in Ky. on a football scholarship. An interesting story is that of his courtship of his wife , of a lifetime. It requires personal, verbal transmission, for the proper affect, but is indicative of Walt's character. I hadn't seen Walt in over ten years, but I'll guarantee that it would have been just like yesterday if I had met him on the street. Gotta quit to watch OSU and Kansas. Jack P.
