$1 in 60's now buys $0.13 ... Thanks Lou F.!

How much would 1 us dollar be worth in the 1960's?
1 US dollar in 1960 was worth 1 dollar, however the buying power of that dollar has changed drastically. The annual inflation rate from 1960 to 2011 has been 4.02%, from that we can determine that what you could buy for $1.00 in 1960 would cost you $7.46 today. Looking at it the other way, what you can buy for a dollar today cost only 13c in 1960!
