Jack Appel, PHS" 51" died last Friday.
Jack was 1st string All State in football in 1950/51.He played guard.
He received a scholarship from the Univ. of Kentucky,. Coach Bear Bryant was there then.Babe Parrilli was quarterback.
Jack played in the Cotton Bowl his Freshman year at U.of K..
Jack was married to Barbara Martin, also Class of 51 and a Highland School grad.Barb passed away about yr.2000.
