Have you ever seen
an ice tsunami? It happened on the south side of Lac des Mille,
Thunder Bay , Ontario , Canada , on May 11, 2013!
It destroyed more than 20
houses in 15 minutes! The ice looked like legs creeping up to residences.
This is formed when the
lake ice breaks up in the spring thaw and in this case, the strong wind
blew it off the lake onto the land.
