I thank Portia Williams for a beautiful job of writing from our short telephone interview.  I hope to see many friends and families of my Portsmouth Interviewees.
I am donating all but a couple of each of my eleven books, including "Admirable People" to Lisa Carver, Manager of the Scioto Welcome Center.  She promises a 'bargain sale' to benefit the Center.  The interviewees gave me such wonderfull stories.

My generation grew up in the best of times in Portsmouth, although it mostly preceded most of the Civil Rights gains by our black friends.  The Dreamland Pool and Mound Park were so great for my good friend Dick Klitch, his father Herman, and so many of my urchin friends.

Thanks again Mrs. Williams and thank you Portsmouth!
