Post Easter 2017
Mixed families in America:
Jeanie and I spent a wonderful Easter Sunday. Gary DeLashmutt gave a memorable Easter message at Xenos Central Teaching. Jeanie and I saw the wonderful movie "Case For Christ" at Easton and then shared a delicious Red Lobster meal. Our sons' families sent Jeanie flowers and that was nice.
Just the two of us spent the day together, unlike most Easter Sundays of our past.
Sad, but a different time in our country.
I am a conservative Christian, I voted for Donald Trump. So many of my emails and blog posts indicate my preferences.
There are many politically liberal members of our family as I believe there are across this nation today. Most want nothing to do with me, particularly on Easter Sunday- the Resurrection Day of our Savior, Jesus Christ, the Son of God.
America has faded so much for the lucky ones born in this country.
An election happened and Tea Party supporters like me were instrumental in Donald Trump's 'surprise' victory.
I was not surprised. The Tea Party has been so nearly neglected and maligned by Democrats and Republican politicians and like-minded media. I consider TeaPartiers 'the salt of the earth' in wanting America to return to greatness.
If you happen to have voted with progressive liberal democrats in the 2016 presidential election, you have no doubt been in concert with the demonstrators, many of whom are "Soros Payed".
I strongly disagree with such, but still love all of our family members, although I only tolerate their mistaken politics, in my very humble opinion. I believe they know of my thoughts.
Jeanie and I endured the sadness together. This is Sam's message, not Jeanie's.
