Back in the late sixties when I moved my family to Westerville from Portsmouth, Ohio, one off our sons' smarter friends here told them the USA was a Plutocracy rather than a democracy.  Not quite; however, the leftist progressive democrats and conservative caucus want the USA to be a plutocracy.
