I love the Columbus Dispatch Forum page each day. Today, E. Thomas McClanahan made a statement I thought very profound:
"The campaign is no longer about the economy. It's about whether this country will follow the path trod by the Europeans, who traded economic dynamism for what they though was security and ended up buried in debt and "'entitled' to benefits that cannot be paid."
The column was warning Romney to offer an alternative health care plan. I haven't read that 'tyrade upon rationality which is obamacare', but surely a simpler, more direct and palatable plan should be drawn up by the Republicans now before November. I hope a lot more thoughtful plan with full consideration of the electorate would be used.
