For Christian American readers of this blog:

I wish to incite all Christians to rise up and take back the United States of America with all of God's manifold blessings. We want the free allowance of the Bible and prayers allowed again in schools, halls of justice, and all governing bodies. We don't seek a theocracy until Jesus returns to earth because all men are weak and power corrupts the very best of them.
We want to be a kinder and gentler people without slavery or condescension to any.

The world seems to be in a time of discontent among the populace. Christians should not fear. God is Love, shown best through Jesus Christ. God is still in control. All Glory to our Creator and to our God!

A favorite quote from my good friend, Jack Plymale, which I appreciate:

"Wars are planned by old men,in council rooms apart. They plan for greater armament, they map the battle chart, but: where sightless eyes stare out, beyond life's vanished joys, I've noticed, somehow, all the dead and mamed are hardly more than boys(Grantland Rice per our mutual friend, Sarah Rapp)."

Thanks Jack!

I must admit that I do not check authenticity of my posts. If anyone can tell me of a non-biased arbitrator, I will attempt to do so more regularly. I know of no such arbitrator for the internet.

Thanks Marge and Nanarina! ACLU Christmas card

Thanks Marge and Nanarina. I have seen this in past Christmases. I bet the ACLU and their lawyer bunch have ways to defeat these cards, but the idea is interesting. The ACLU needs cleansing for sure!

Sam

Subject: Fw: Add to your Christmas Card List

What a great idea!!!!

Pass this on to your church, co-workers, family, and friends. What do
you have to lose but 44 cents, what do you have to gain ----------- more
than you will ever know.

What a clever idea!
Yes, Christmas cards. This is coming early so that you can get ready to
include an important address to your list.

Want to have some fun this CHRISTMAS? Send the ACLU a CHRISTMAS CARD this
year.

As they are working so very hard to get rid of the CHRISTMAS part of this
holiday, we should all send them a nice, CHRISTIAN card to brighten up
their dark, sad, little world..

Make sure it says "Merry Christmas" on it.

Here's the address, just don't be rude or crude. (It's not the Christian
way, you know.)

ACLU
125 Broad Street
18th Floor
New York , NY 10004

Two tons of Christmas cards would freeze their operations because they
wouldn't know if any were regular mail containing contributions. So spend
44 cents and tell the ACLU to leave Christmas alone. Also tell them that
there is no such thing as a " Holiday Tree". . . It's always been called
a CHRISTMAS TREE!

And pass this on to your email lists. We really want to communicate with
the ACLU! They really DESERVE us!!

For those of you who aren't aware of them, the ACLU, (the American Civil
Liberties Union) is the one suing the U.S. Government to take God,
Christmas or anything Christian away from us. They represent the atheists and
others in this war. Help put Christ back in Christmas!

A young boy’s description of God

This is so simply beautiful, Patti!  And it is wonderfully repeatable.  This young fellow has that elusive quality called: "common sense".

A Little boy's explanation of God THIS Is AWESOME!!!!!!!!!

certainly don't think an adult could explain this more beautifully!

THIS IS FABULOUS!!!

It was written by an 8-year-old named Danny Dutton, who lives in Chula Vista , CA . He wrote it for his third grade homework assignment, to 'explain God.' I wonder if any of us could have done as well? [ ... And he had such an assignment, in California , and someone published it, I guess miracles do happen ! ... ]

EXPLANATION OF GOD: 'One of God's main jobs is making people. He makes them to replace the ones that die, so there will be enough people to take care of things on earth. He doesn't make grownups, just babies. I think because they are smaller and easier to make. That way he doesn't have to take up his valuable time teaching them to talk and walk. He can just leave that to mothers and fathers.'

'God's second most important job is listening to prayers. An awful lot of this goes on, since some people, like preachers and things, pray at times beside bedtime. God doesn't have time to listen to the radio or TV because of this. Because he hears everything, there must be a terrible lot of noise in his ears, unless he has thought of a way to turn it off.'

'God sees everything and hears everything and is everywhere which keeps Him pretty busy. So you shouldn't go wasting his time by going over your mom and dad's head asking for something they said you couldn't have.'

'Atheists are people who don't believe in God. I don't think there are any in Chula Vista . At least there aren't any who come to our church.'

'Jesus is God's Son. He used to do all the hard work, like walking on water and performing miracles and trying to teach the people who didn't want to learn about God. They finally got tired of him preaching to them and they crucified him But he was good and kind, like his father, and he told his father that they didn't know what they were doing and to forgive them and God said O.K.'

'His dad (God) appreciated everything that he had done and all his hard work on earth so he told him he didn't have to go out on the road anymore. He could stay in heaven. So he did. And now he helps his dad out by listening to prayers and seeing things which are important for God to take care of and which ones he can take care of himself without having to bother God. Like a secretary, only more important.'

'You can pray anytime you want and they are sure to help you because they got it worked out so one of them is on duty all the time.'

'You should always go to church on Sunday because it makes God happy, and if there's anybody you want to make happy, it's God!

Don't skip church to do something you think will be more fun like going to the beach. This is wrong. And besides the sun doesn't come out at the beach until noon anyway.'

'If you don't believe in God, besides being an atheist, you will be very lonely, because your parents can't go everywhere with you, like to camp, but God can. It is good to know He's around you when you're scared, in the dark or when you can't swim and you get thrown into real deep water by big kids.'

'But...you shouldn't just always think of what God can do for you. I figure God put me here and he can take me back anytime he pleases...

And...that's why I believe in God.'

(If you believe in God, please pass this on, and may God bless you too.)

Have an awesome day, and know that someone has thought about you!

College basketball on TV

I am a sports fan, but not nearly the all around fan that I used to be.  I was nuts about any sport, but I have become more a fan of just Kentucky basketball on the college level.  Of course I have always loved softball as a player and a fan for a majority of my 77 years, probably 61 (80%) of my life on earth.  These are some recent e-mails between me and some fellow Kentucky basketball fans which show how we scrounge through the electronic media we are aware of to pick up Kentucky games  live one way or another.

Mitch Barnhart, UK’s athletics Director, recently responded to an email from me which mentioned that we fans in the boondocks on the outside north of the commonwealth cannot easily get the Fox Sports Network-South TV coverage of the games.  Mr. Barnhart graciously acknowledged that he was aware of the problem to us and that he was working with the league (SEC) on the problem.

Hopefully, other fans may pick up a nugget or two from these messages to aid in their following of the basketball program they love from these messages-posted here in reverse chronological order:

*Thanks so much,Sam. I'll keep that in mind!

*Sam, thanks for the information.  I'm going to call Insight to see if they have this same option. My son who lives in Delaware has the Time Warner package so I could watch it at his house.*

Thanks Mary,

I, too, have the Fox Sports package.  I didn't realize the CBS college sports channels were on there.  I will have to set my DVR.  I watched the Rider on www.justin.tv as Pete did.  That is what I planned for Cancun games.

I will let you know.  I am so glad that we haven't lost you and Pete as good KY friends!

Hi Sam,

Wanted to share some info. A few weeks ago, in order to get the Blue White game on Time Warner, we subscribed to the Fox Sports Package  with Time Warner for $4.95 a month. It also includes the two CBS college sports channels. We had planned to cancel this but now see that the Kentucky games are on these channels. So...it might be worth 5 bucks to you to subscribe for the two Kentucky games and then cancel it by the end of Nov. Also, the Fox Sports channels do NOT include any Fox Sports South games.

Hope this info helps you.

Mary
