American military personnel have sacrificed all over this world for our freeedoms. The constitution is widely revered by most, but the object of change now by some.
With our nearly forgotten education of our country's birth, the fact that checks and balances were established early on has dwindled in many citizens' memories.
Three branches remain but for how long. The top judicial branch is the Supreme Court. It is normally an extreme political battle to get an appointee into the court and newbies enter with somewhat of a left or right bias. The legislative or law making branch- senators and representatives- are mainly lawyers and certainly of left or right bends. The President or executive branch is the executor or the enforcer.
Our checks and balances have never been so out of whack for this Christian Rightist, or possibly, a Newt Gingrich party American.

For Christian American readers of this blog:
I wish to incite all Christians to rise up and take back the United States of America with all of God's manifold blessings. We want the free allowance of the Bible and prayers allowed again in schools, halls of justice, and all governing bodies. We don't seek a theocracy until Jesus returns to earth because all men are weak and power corrupts the very best of them.
We want to be a kinder and gentler people without slavery or condescension to any.
The world seems to be in a time of discontent among the populace. Christians should not fear. God is Love, shown best through Jesus Christ. God is still in control. All Glory to our Creator and to our God!
A favorite quote from my good friend, Jack Plymale, which I appreciate:
"Wars are planned by old men,in council rooms apart. They plan for greater armament, they map the battle chart, but: where sightless eyes stare out, beyond life's vanished joys, I've noticed, somehow, all the dead and mamed are hardly more than boys(Grantland Rice per our mutual friend, Sarah Rapp)."
Thanks Jack!
I must admit that I do not check authenticity of my posts. If anyone can tell me of a non-biased arbitrator, I will attempt to do so more regularly. I know of no such arbitrator for the internet.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hey guys! It's been so long since I've posted last. I'm glad to be back posting!
Just wanted to let you know personally what I'm most excited about! I know we have the best recruiting class in the nation, I know that we are getting a lot of publicity back to our program, I know we have a great recruiter (hoping he does well with his X and O's), but what I'm most excited about is we are finally getting back to the uptempo style offense that I have so much missed since Pitino left. It is so exciting to have that back and I cannot wait to watch the first game. I know the grind it out style works for some people, but I just am loving the thought that our uptempo style is back!
I just had to say that!!!

This is why i wanted someone like Calipari,Donavon,Ford,Pelphrey,or even Sean Miller. I would have taken Mike Anderson if it came down to it. I just wanted someone here to coach who in my mind gave us a chance to get back to the up and down style of play that i absolutely love to watch..............

I'm telling you the most dynamic aspect we have this year is the passing - trust me it is going to be nuts!

While I can't speak for soldier1969....and the passing isn't "THE" thing I'm MOST excited about....I can definitely understand where he's coming from. Because I am really looking forward to the passing from Eric Bledsoe and John Wall.
Bledsoe and Wall just might be....THE TWO BEST passers that we have EVER seen at Kentucky. And on the floor at the same time together?!?!?!? With at least one likely to be on the court at all times?!?!? Not to mention, if he learns to play under control....DeAndre Liggins is a pretty good passer as well. And from the SF position, we probably haven't seen a passer the likes of Darius Miller in quite some time. And DeMarcus Cousins WILL BE (I have no doubts about this) the best passing big man to ever play at Kentucky. Not to mention, Daniel Orton is one of the best outlet passers after a rebound and starting the break that I have seen from a high school senior. He's kind of reminiscent of Kevin Love when he was a freshman at UCLA in that regard.
So yeah....I can see why someone would be excited about the passing. I'm looking forward to ALL aspects of the game, though. The only thing I somewhat cringe at, though, is the three point shooting. But if Wall or Bledsoe can just be respectable, Darius Miller has improved, and Dodson and Cousins (yes, Cousins) get several open looks from three point range (not sure yet if Hood will see enough PT to be a big contributor his freshman year)....and we are respectable in that area.....then rebounding, defense, penetrating, passing and E-V-E-R-Y aspect of the game should be in very good shape....

The up tempo style of play is what I am looking forward to the most. Up and down the court at break neck speed...scoring in the 100 point range on multiple games. What will make it even better is that we have such great athletes on this team that we will undoubtedly make highlight reels on ESPN on a regular basis. No more watching the tube waiting for our 20 second mention. Everyone that's not a CAT FAN will be not be able to stand watching sportscenter by the time December rolls around.

And that's what I can't wait to hear - the rest of em complaining...I believe this could be the most prolific passing team ever assembled in college ball - these guys have an uncanny ability to score or pass (based on the highlight clips I've seen)...I truly believe our assist stats will be stagering to other teams. I am so reday to see these young men take the court! I think this team has the potential to become so close - and the teamwork so incredible on the court - I am really excited for our season to start.

Truthfully...and I don't mean to be mean....just telling it like it is...but looking forward to seeing anything about Ramon and/or Perry is like looking forward to that McDonald's cheeseburger. You know what you're going to get, and it ain't all that great. I'd much rather look forward to that Ruby Tuesday's "new" deluxe bacon double swiss burger with the special sauce that is about to be launched (just using an imaginary illustration to illustrate my point)

John Calipari was an excellent basketball coach before he incorporated the dribble drive motion offense into his coaching, just about four years ago, I believe. He often utilizes a three quarter court press if I am not mistaken.
It will probably be even more exciting, and even tougher, when the rest of college basketball catches up and uses his tactics.
The former coach's teams had to be among the worst passing teams in America. Turnover City! If our hopes on terrific passing are realized, please pinch me. I will think this sinner has been forgiven all and is in Heaven.

The former coach's teams had to be among the worst passing teams in America. Turnover City! If our hopes on terrific passing are realized, please pinch me. I will think this sinner has been forgiven all and is in Heaven.

Recycle from a respected friend- A post turtle
YOU'VE GOT TO LOVE THIS RANCHER's OUTLOOK & COMMON SENSE APPROACH TO LIFE .
?
While suturing a cut on the hand of a 75 year old rancher, who's hand was caught in the gate while working cattle, the doctor struck up a conversation with the old man. Eventually the topic got around to Obama and his bid to be our president.
The old rancher said, 'Well, ya know, Obama is a 'Post Turtle''..
Not being familiar with the term, the doctor asked him, what a 'post turtle' was.
The old rancher said, 'When you're driving down a country road and you come across a fence post with a turtle balanced on top, that's a 'post turtle'.
The old rancher saw the puzzled look on the doctor's face so he continued to explain. 'You know he didn't get up there by himself, he doesn't belong up there, he doesn't know what to do while he's up there, and you just wonder what kind of dummy put him up there to begin with'.

Pat Richards Whitehead- My Attorney
My Attorney-
After living what I felt was a 'decent' life, my time on earth came to the end.
The first thing I remember is sitting on a bench in the waiting room of what I thought to be a court house.
The doors opened and I was instructed to come in and have a seat by the defense table.
As I looked around I saw the 'prosecutor.'
He was a villainous looking gent who snarled as he stared at me.
He definitely was the most evil person I have ever seen.
I sat down and looked to my left and there sat My Attorney, a kind and gentle looking man whose appearance seemed so familiar to
me, I felt I knew Him.
The corner door flew open and there appeared the Judge in full flowing robes.
He commanded an awesome presence as He moved across the room I couldn't take my eyes off of Him.
As He took His seat behind the bench, He said, 'Let us begin.'
The prosecutor rose and said,
'My name is Satan and I am here to show you why this man belongs in hell.'
He proceeded to tell of lies that I told, things that I stole, and In the past when I cheated others Satan told of other horrible
Perversions that were once in my life and the more he spoke, the further down in my seat I sank.
I was so embarrassed that I couldn't look at anyone, even my own Attorney, as the Devil told of sins that even I had completely
forgotten about.
As upset as I was at Satan for telling all these things about me, I was equally upset at My Attorney who sat there silently not Offering any form of defense at all.
I know I had been guilty of those things, but I had done some good in my life - couldn't that at least equal out part of the harm I'd done?
Satan finished with a fury and said, 'This man belongs in hell,
he is guilty of all that I have charged and there is not a person
who can prove otherwise.'
When it was His turn, My Attorney first asked if He might approach the bench.
The Judge allowed this over the strong objection of Satan,
and beckoned Him to come forward.
As He got up and started walking, I was able to see Him in
His full splendor and majesty..
I realized why He seemed so familiar; this was Jesus representing me,
my Lord and my Savior.
He stopped at the bench and softly said to the Judge, 'Hi,
Dad,' and then He turned to address the court.
'Satan was correct in saying that this man had sinned, I won't deny any of these allegations.
And, yes, the wage of sin is death, and this man deserves to be
punished.
Jesus took a deep breath and turned to His Father with
outstretched arms and proclaimed, 'However, I died on the cross so
that this person might have eternal life and he has accepted Me as his Savior, so he is Mine.'
My Lord continued with, 'His name is written in the Book of Life, and no one can snatch him from Me.
Satan still does not understand yet. This man is not to be given justice, but rather mercy.'
As Jesus sat down,
He quietly paused, looked at His Father and said,'There is nothing else that needs to be done.'
'I've done it all.'
The Judge lifted His mighty hand and slammed the gavel down.
The following words bellowed from His lips..
'This man is free.'
'The penalty for him has already been paid in full.'
'Case disMimissed.'
As my Lord led me away, I could hear Satan ranting and raving,
'I won't give up, I will win the next one.' I asked Jesus as He gave
me my instructions where to go next, 'Have you ever lost a case?'
Christ lovingly smiled and said,
'Everyone that has come to Me and asked Me to represent them has received the same verdict as you,

Pat Richards Whitehead- FL code of Clonduct
THE FLORIDA CODE OF CONDUCT
When giving directions in Florida, you should always start with the words, 'take I-75 or take I-95 .
If you're a snowbird or a non-working retiree, you absolutely cannot drive between the hours of 6am and 10am and 4pm and 7pm. This is considered to be rush hour and you're not in any rush. There are no exceptions.
Tolls are a fact of life down here, the state has to make money so deal with it!
I-275 will always be under construction...that's the law, there is nothing anyone can do about it, period!
A1A and ALT A1A are the same streets.
Every street in Florida has both a name and a number (i.e. Powerline = 9th,) just for the hell of it. The pleasure we get from the reaction of visitors when we give them directions is just a perk of being a resident.
Traffic lights aren't timed and never will be.
We measure the distance in travel time, not miles.
If you've driven more than 5-10 miles on any road in any part of Florida without seeing an orange 'Bob's Barricade', you're lost!
If you miss your exit on I-75, I-4, or I-275, its perfectly acceptable to back up.
Once the light turns green, only 3 cars can go through the intersection. Eight more go through on yellow, and 4 on red.
Know the difference between Sun Pass, Sun Fest, Sun-Sentinel, and Sun Trust.
Flip flops, tank tops and baggy shorts are also known as 'business casual'.
Your blinker means nothing.
English is our first and second language.
It is perfectly acceptable to brag about the size of your generator.
We have alligators here in Florida and they WILL bite you. Don't be stupid and try to feed or pet one.
When a hurricane is headed our way, even though you have advanced warning and you are told to be prepared, you're not a true Floridian unless you wait until the absolute last minute to go to Home Depot to pick up plywood or to Publix to stock up water, ice, beer, and potato chips.
You know how to spell Okeechobee.
There is an Okeechobee Blvd., Street, Avenue, Town, Lake, and County.
A true Floridan does NOT own a boat. They make friends with someone who already owns one. That way you don't have to deal with any of the headaches.
You weren't born here. If you were, you're angry that everyone else moved here.
There's always a Walgreens across the street from a CVS on almost every corner - with more being built every day.
When picking up a woman on South Beach, always look for an Adams apple.
It's normal to sweat when you are putting up your Christmas decorations.
Jupiter is a city, not a planet.
Seniors should do their errands during the weekdays. Not weeknights or weekends - that's for the working folks.
There are three types of dolphins: Mahi-mahi, Flipper, and a football team.
You can't say; 'this is how we did it up north'. If you insist on thinking that way, then go back there where it's done that way.
No matter what they decide in Tallahassee you will never, ever be able to figure out your property taxes.
Learn how to dress in layers. It will be 95 degrees outside but inside any restaurant or business it's 65 degrees.
There are three things you will need to survive a Florida winter: A long sleeved T-shirt, sunscreen, and the ablity to mock all those extremely pale 'visitors' with the bright pink 'Florida tans'
The same neighbor who smiles at you every day will be the first one to rat you out if you are violating water restrictions
