Ah well ... I'm glad we weren't in Nashville, Judi. No more partying there this weekend. I don't like Vanderbilt, but they hit us hard early, as Stallings told the young reporter, and we didn't have the wherewithal to fight back. Psychiatrists have talked about "fight or flight" reactions and I believe we saw this team take flight last night. Coach Cal said the team had three great practices last week, but he didn't know how they would show up and play.
Cal said before the game that so many Kentucky faithful take their vacation time and money to watch their beloved Wildcats play basketball, he hoped they could satisfy that wonderful crowd. We have been there and done that. My heart ached some that we weren't there to be with our very good friends, yet I knew this Kentucky team might win, but they just will not dominate anybody this season. The lightweights could not take out the foe in close competition.
I doubt that this team has sufficient consistency to be representative of Kentucky Wildcat basketball in either tournament.
Mr. Wiggins, please come to UK for your one and done season in 2014. He seemed to be the dominate high-school player in his even very early HS years. He is capable of a knock-out punch in any game. We weren't close to that except for Nerlens.
Get'em next year is a much likelier story for this 2013 Wildcats team.
Thanks for your reply!

Sam, sorry I didn't return your call. I was at my brother's house when you called and my sister and I left to go watch the game at Chubby's. I can't get ESPN 3. I called Insight and they said it's not available, but after they have merged with Time Warner, it probably will be.Well, it sure wasn't the team we wanted to see tonight. One step forward and two steps back all season. Some are saying that we shouldn't accept an NIT bid if we don't get in the NCAA. I have mixed feelings about that, but sure don't want this team to further embarrass themselves. I felt sorry for Harrow when he took all the blame tonight, some of it is in the other players' and the coach's hands.
