For Christian American readers of this blog:

I wish to incite all Christians to rise up and take back the United States of America with all of God's manifold blessings. We want the free allowance of the Bible and prayers allowed again in schools, halls of justice, and all governing bodies. We don't seek a theocracy until Jesus returns to earth because all men are weak and power corrupts the very best of them.
We want to be a kinder and gentler people without slavery or condescension to any.

The world seems to be in a time of discontent among the populace. Christians should not fear. God is Love, shown best through Jesus Christ. God is still in control. All Glory to our Creator and to our God!

A favorite quote from my good friend, Jack Plymale, which I appreciate:

"Wars are planned by old men,in council rooms apart. They plan for greater armament, they map the battle chart, but: where sightless eyes stare out, beyond life's vanished joys, I've noticed, somehow, all the dead and mamed are hardly more than boys(Grantland Rice per our mutual friend, Sarah Rapp)."

Thanks Jack!

I must admit that I do not check authenticity of my posts. If anyone can tell me of a non-biased arbitrator, I will attempt to do so more regularly. I know of no such arbitrator for the internet.

Dr..Ben Carson says: Wake up America! ... Thx Paul C!

Wake-up America!!!

Ben Carson is right when he says it make no sense for the US to send our borrowed money to other countries while we have an 18 trillion dollar debt and needs in our own country.

We read  all the jokes & forward the good ones but, I just wonder who will pass this one on.
How about you sending it on?

Someone  please tell me, what's wrong with all the people that run this country.!!!!

Both Democrats and Republicans  say, "We're broke"
And can't help our own Veterans, Seniors, Orphans,  Etc.,?????
But, over the last several years, THEY have provided direct cash aid to.....

Hamas - $351 M,
Libya $1.45 Billion,
Egypt - $397 M
Mexico - $622 M,
Russia - $380 M
Haiti - $1.4 Billion,
Jordan - > $463 M,
Kenya - $816 M,
Sudan - $870 M,
Nigeria - $456 M,
Uganda - $451 M,
Congo - $359 M,
Ethiopia - $981 M,
Pakistan - $2 Billion,
South Africa - $566 M,
Senegal - $698 M,
Mozambique - $404 M,
Zambia - $331 M,
Kazakhstan - $304 M,
Iraq - $1. 08 Billion, + 1.5 trillion and counting Tanzania - $554 M,

A total of $14,933,000,000   that's 14.933 BILLIONS, of Dollars & they all still hate us.!!!

(NOTE HOW MANY AFRICAN NATIONS!)

But, on the other hand,

OUR MILITARY IS BEING CUT,
OUR SOLDIERS ARE HAVING THEIR BENEFIT's CUT & THE GOVERNMENT'S GONE  BACK ON ITS PROMISE OF FREE MEDICAL CARE & DENYING DISABILITY TO THOSE  PHYSICALLY & MENTALLY TORN APART, FOR NO GOOD REASON, IN POLITICAL  WARS!

Our retired seniors, living on 'fixed incomes', have their taxes raised, to send to these countries,  & also, are having medical benefits cut.

Our own citizens receive NO aid, unless they're the ones who refuse to work, & have babies for welfare payments!

Nor do the seniors & working public get any breaks, while our government  & religious organizations will pour  Hundreds of Billions Of dollars, & Tons of Food, to Foreign Countries & the illegals, & the leeches within our borders!

AMERICA:
A country where we have

Our brave warriors, damaged for life,
waiting in year long lines for their due,
the elderly going without needed medication,
& the mentally ill without treatment,
& for all of us, our safety is at risk,
because  prisoners are being released, back onto the streets, due to "lack of funds"
-- etc.

& YET.......

They'll have a "Benefit Show" For the people of Haiti , on 12 TV Stations; with ships & planes lining up with food, water, tents, clothes, bedding, doctors & medical supplies.

Now Just Imagine, if  Our own *GOVERNMENT*  gave 'US'  the same support they give foreign countries.
Sad, isn't it?

99% of people won't have the 'chutzpah' to forwar d this.

WELL, I'm one of the 1% who just did.!!

Logic is dead.
Excellence is punished.
Mediocrity is rewarded.

Wonderful state with no republican leadership ... Thx Pidge F!

Wonderful State with ZERO Republicans
LOL
(NOT A SOUL TO BLAME BUT THEMSELVES FOR ALL THEIR WONDERFULNESS...)
TRULY A DEMOCRAT’S PARADISE!

Now, Consider This:
There are more people on Welfare in Illinois than there  are people working.
Chicago pays the highest wages to teachers than anywhere else in the U.S. averaging $110,000/year.
Their pensions average 80-90% of their income. You can't  blame that on republicans because there aren't any.
Wow, are Illinois and Chicago great or what?
Be sure to read till the end. I've never heard it explained better.
Perhaps the U.S.  should pull out of Chicago ?
Body count: In the last six months 292 killed (murdered) in Chicago .
221 killed in Iraq AND Chicago has one of the strictest gun laws in the entire US.
. Here's the Chicago chain of command:
. President: Barack Hussein Obama
. Senator: Dick Durbin
. House  Representative: Jesse Jackson Jr.
. Governor: Pat Quinn
. House leader: Mike Madigan
. Atty. Gen.: Lisa Madigan  (daughter of Mike)
. Mayor: Rohm Emanuel
. The leadership in Illinois - all Democrats.
. Thank you for the combat zone in Chicago .

. Of course, they're all blaming each other.
. Can't blame Republicans; there aren't any!
. Chicago school system rated one of the worst in the country. Can't blame Republicans; there aren't any!
. State pension fund $78 Billion in debt, worst in country. Can't blame Republicans; there aren't any!
. Cook County ( Chicago ) sales tax 10.25% highest in country. Can't blame Republicans; there aren't any!
. This is the political culture that Obama comes from in Illinois. And he is going to 'fix' Washington politics for us???
. George Ryan is no longer Governor, he is in the big house.
. Of course he was replaced by Rob Blagoyevitch who is...that's right, also in the big house.
. And Representative Jesse Jackson Jr. resigned a couple of weeks ago.  That is because he is fighting being sent to...that's right, the big house.
. The Land of Lincoln, where our governors make our license plates.

But you know what? As long as they keep providing entitlements to the population of Chicago, nothing is going to change, except the state will go broke before the country does.

"Any man who thinks he can be happy and prosperous by letting the Government take care of him; better take a closer look at the American Indian."

P.S.  On August 14, 2013, Jesse Jackson Jr. got sentenced to 2-1/2 years in prison for misuse of campaign funds ($750,000).  His wife, Sandi, got sentenced to 1 year in prison for fraud.  Federal Judge Amy Berman Jackson (no relationship. Really?) ruled that Sandi Jackson will remain free until Jesse Jr. gets out of prison.   After all, someone has to take care of the kids and teach them Illinois ethics.  ;-)

USA in deep doodoo with little o

The USA is in deep doodoo and little o wants to take us further into it.

I believe that Bret Baer's "Special Edition" at six each evening, particularly with Charles Krauthammer commenting is the closest thing to right the country has today.  Of course Bill O'Reiley's 'No Spin Zone'  is another favorite of mine.

But face it.  obama will never face up to his cowardice in the Benghazi desertion of our ambassador and others there.  He won't take responsibility for anything except that he must admit, but probably won't,  to adding about 17 million to the food stamps roles in the USA.  And didn't they vote for him?

Sequestration was his idea, but he thinks he has very cleverly turned it against the republicans in the national media.   How could anybody think that while having a democrat controlled Senate who hasn't passed a budget since o has been in office, and has helped o add to the nearly seventeen trillion dollar national debt?

Demos and repubs all have served themselves too long.  The Tea Party must rise again and vote'emallout!  Impeach little o, our traitorus and cowardly pusa!

Just my thoughts!

Perspective Hope and Change? Thanks Ramey!

I may have messed up the pictures placement for my blog, but most of you will receive this from me by email with Ramey's correct placement.

SamKat

SCAREY, ain't it. Yup, let's give him another four years. WAKE UP.
Physical concept of money, with easy to understand graphics
This is beyond mind-boggling
....

One Hundred Dollars

$100 - Most counterfeited money denomination in the world. Keeps the world moving.

Ten Thousand Dollars

$10,000 - Enough for a great vacation or to buy a used car. Approximately one year of work for the average human on earth.

One Million Dollars

$1,000,000 - Not as big of a pile as you thought, huh? Still this is 92 years of work for the average human on earth

One Hundred Million Dollars

$100,000,000 - Plenty to go around for everyone. Fits nicely on an ISO / Military standard sized pallet.

One Billion Dollars

$1,000,000,000 - You will need some help when robbing the bank. Now we are getting serious!

One Trillion Dollars

$1,000,000,000,000

When the U.S government speaks about a 1.7 trillion deficit - this is the volumes of cash the U.S. Government borrowed in 2010 to run itself.

Keep in mind it is double stacked pallets of $100 million dollars each, full of $100 dollar bills. You are going to need a lot of trucks to freight this around.

If you spent $1 million a day since Jesus was born, you would have not spent $1 trillion by now...but ~$700 billion - same amount the banks got during bailout.

One Trillion Dollars

Comparison of $1,000,000,000,000 dollars to a standard-sized American Football field and European Football field.

15 Trillion Dollars

$15,000,000,000,000 - US national debt (credit bill) has just topped the 15 trillion 2 months before Christmas 2011.

Statue of Liberty seems rather worried as United States national debt passes 20% of the entire world's combined GDP (Gross Domestic Product). In 2011 the National Debt will exceed 100% of GDP, and venture into the 100%+ debt-to-GDP ratio that the European PIIGS have (bankrupting nations).

$ 114.5 Trillion Dollars

$114,500,000,000,000 - US unfunded liabilities
To the right you can see the pillar of cold hard $100 bills that dwarfs the WTC & Empire State Building - both at one point world's tallest buildings. If you look carefully you can see the Statue of Liberty.

The 114.5 Trillion dollar super-skyscraper is the amount of money the U.S. Government knows it does not have to fully fund the Medicare, Medicare Prescription Drug Program, Social Security, Military and civil servant pensions. It is the money USA knows it will not have to pay all its bills.

If you live in USA this is also your personal credit card bill; you are responsible along with everyone else to pay this back. The citizens of USA created the U.S. Government to serve them, this is what the U.S. Government has done while serving The People.

The unfunded liability is calculated on current tax and funding inputs, and future demographic shifts in US Population.

Note:
On the above 114.5T image the size of the base of the money pile is half a trillion, not $1T as on 15T image. The height is double. This was done to reflect the base of Empire State and WTC more closely.

You'll know what to do with this email .... God help us.

REVIEW & OUTLOOKJULY 15, 2011.The Obama Downgrade

The real reason the U.S. could lose its AAA rating..Article Video Comments (626) more in Opinion ».EmailPrintSave This ↓ More.

So the credit-rating agencies that helped to create the financial crisis that led to a deep recession are now warning that the U.S. could lose the AAA rating it has had since 1917. As painfully ironic as this is, there's no benefit in shooting the messengers. The real culprit is the U.S. political class, especially the President who has presided over this historic collapse of fiscal credibility.

Moody's and the boys are citing the risk of a default on August 2 as the proximate reason for their warning. But Americans should understand that the debt ceiling is merely the trigger. The gun is the spending boom of the last three years and the prospect that Washington lacks the political will to reduce it in the years to come.

.On spending, it is important to recall how extraordinary the blowout of the last three years has been. We've seen nothing like it since World War II. Nothing close. The nearby chart tracks federal outlays as a share of GDP since 1960. The early peaks coincide with the rise of the Great Society, the recession of 1974-75, and then a high of 23.5% with the recession of 1982 and the Reagan defense buildup.

From there, spending declines, most rapidly during the 1990s as defense outlays fell to 3% of GDP in 2000 from its Reagan peak of 6.2% in 1986. The early George W. Bush years saw spending bounce up to a plateau of roughly 20% of GDP, but no more than 20.7% as recently as 2008.

Then came the Obama blowout, in league with Nancy Pelosi's Congress. With the recession as a rationale, Democrats consciously blew up the national balance sheet, lifting federal outlays to 25% in 2009, the highest level since 1945. (Even in 1946, with millions still in the military, spending was only 24.8% of GDP. In 1947 it fell to 14.8%.) Though the recession ended in June 2009, spending in 2010 stayed high at nearly 24%, and this year it is heading back toward 25%.

This is the main reason that federal debt held by the public as a share of GDP has climbed from 40.3% in 2008, to 53.5% in 2009, 62.2% in 2010 and an estimated 72% this year, and is expected to keep rising in the future. These are heights not seen since the Korean War, and many analysts think U.S. debt will soon hit 90% or 100% of GDP.

...Congress is responsible for the way so much of this spending was wasted, resulting in little job creation and the slowest economic recovery since the 1930s. But in the U.S. political system, Presidents are supposed to be the fiscal adults. When they abdicate, the teenagers invite over their special interest friends and blow the inheritance.

The President is now claiming to have found fiscal virtue, but notice how hard he has fought House Republicans as they've sought to abate the spending boom. First he used the threat of a government shutdown to whittle the fiscal 2011 spending cuts down to very little. Then he invited Paul Ryan to sit in the front row for a speech while he called his House budget un-American.

Deputy editor Daniel Henninger and Joseph Rago of the editorial board analyzes President Obama's Friday press conference.

..Now Mr. Obama is using the debt-ceiling debate as a battering ram not to control spending but to command a tax increase. We're told the White House list of immediate budget savings, the ones that matter most because they are enforceable by the current Congress, are negligible. His offer for immediate domestic nondefense discretionary cuts: $2 billion.

As for Mr. Obama's proposed entitlement cuts, they are all nibbling around the edges of programs that are growing far faster than inflation. He's offering few reforms that would make a difference in the long run. Oh, and ObamaCare is untouchable, despite its $1 trillion in new spending over the next several years, growing even faster after that.

So now we have the inevitable showdown over the debt limit, which must be raised to pay for all of this spending. And Mr. Obama is blaming Republicans for being irresponsible because they won't raise taxes in return for promises of modest future spending restraint. And some people even fall for it.

We've said we think it would be foolish of Republicans to walk into Mr. Obama's debt-limit trap and let him blame them for the financial fallout, including a possible credit downgrade. But this is not because we think they will deserve the blame. Even if this debt-ceiling crisis passes, the threat of a credit downgrade will continue and grow until Mr. Obama changes his policies, or Americans change Presidents.

o's bipartison debt-reduction rec's ignored

After Obama, the Deluge

By Victor Davis Hanson

http://www.JewishWorldReview.com
President Obama established a bipartisan debt-reduction commission -- and then ignored its findings, which called for unpopular reductions in entitlements and across-the-board spending cuts. His first two budgets led to the largest deficits in U.S. history. The ensuing $3 trillion dollars in red ink prompted the Tea Party movement and led to the largest midterm defeat of the Democratic Party in the House of Representatives since 1938.

No matter. The president has proposed a new budget with an even larger, $1.6 trillion deficit. That record federal borrowing prompted columnist Charles Krauthammer to describe it as Louis XV indulgence, an allusion to the wild royal spending that brought about the French Revolution. Even Newsweek editor at large Evan Thomas, who once gushed that Obama stood "above the world" as some "sort of God," called the president's new budget a "profile in cowardice." After Obama leaves office, a perfect storm of rising international interest rates, an anemic dollar and panic on the part of foreign lenders may force an end to this unhinged American rush to borrow and blow what it has not earned.

Gas prices in many parts of the country are nearing $4 a gallon; it could get even worse as unrest spreads throughout the oil-exporting Middle East. Yet the Obama administration once again seems to see no crisis. It has curtailed new leases for offshore oil exploration for seven years and exempted thousands of acres in the West from new drilling. It will not reconsider opening up small areas of Alaska with known large oil reserves.

Instead, the administration in 2009 pushed through cap-and-trade legislation in the House on the dubious proposition that, in times of unusually cold American winters, the planet is warming up. Accordingly, the administration would like to tax further the already high price of fossil fuels rather than go all out to look for more. Yet importing more oil from abroad and growing more subsidized biofuels at home will lead to a disastrous trifecta of borrowing even more money, ensuring greater global pollution and causing higher world food prices.

Obamacare -- the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act -- was pushed through the Senate in 2009 through backroom deal-making and special perks for fence-sitting senators. The premise was that it would save both patients and the nation billions of dollars. But updated estimates now suggest that the takeover of health care will cost the country about $2 trillion over the next decade while disrupting and making more costly existing health plans.

That worry may explain why the administration has quietly granted waivers from its own "affordable" plan to some 700 organizations covering 2 million workers -- 40 percent of them union members. Long after the president has left office, everyone else who is not so privileged to be exempted will have to live with the consequence of a cumbersome and costly new federal health bureau.

The president just weighed in on the Wisconsin budget deadlock, suggesting that Gov. Scott Walker was out to punish public-sector unions more than to figure out a way to close a $3 billion state deficit. But unlike the federal government, Walker cannot print money, and he cannot so easily raise taxes without losing residents who might flee to lower-tax states. That the president wants unions to know he is on their side is clear; that he cares how the people of Wisconsin are going to pay for sky-high public-employee wages, benefits and health care is not so evident.

In these lean times of nearly 10 percent unemployment and rapid hikes in gas and food prices, the president has chastised "fat cat" Wall Street bankers, the wealthy who jet to the Super Bowl, those who junket to Las Vegas, and in general suggested that strapped American families might wish to "sacrifice" and "put off a vacation." But in "let them eat cake" style, the first family seems tone-deaf to the potential symbolism of postponing its own exclusive vacations. Michele Obama just returned from skiing at an elite Vail, Colo., resort. Last summer in Marie Antoinette fashion, she jetted to Costa del Sol in Spain for a costly Mediterranean vacation. The rich playground at Martha's Vineyard, not Camp David, seems now to be the favorite presidential recession-era getaway spot.

Shortly after Barack Obama leaves office, we are all going to have to eat cake. Then a less eloquent president will have to balance budgets, pay off trillions in new debt, develop more energy, come up with a sane health-care policy, and in symbolic fashion have the first family share the sacrifice of a more mundane lifestyle.
