For Christian American readers of this blog:

I wish to incite all Christians to rise up and take back the United States of America with all of God's manifold blessings. We want the free allowance of the Bible and prayers allowed again in schools, halls of justice, and all governing bodies. We don't seek a theocracy until Jesus returns to earth because all men are weak and power corrupts the very best of them.
We want to be a kinder and gentler people without slavery or condescension to any.

The world seems to be in a time of discontent among the populace. Christians should not fear. God is Love, shown best through Jesus Christ. God is still in control. All Glory to our Creator and to our God!

A favorite quote from my good friend, Jack Plymale, which I appreciate:

"Wars are planned by old men,in council rooms apart. They plan for greater armament, they map the battle chart, but: where sightless eyes stare out, beyond life's vanished joys, I've noticed, somehow, all the dead and mamed are hardly more than boys(Grantland Rice per our mutual friend, Sarah Rapp)."

Thanks Jack!

I must admit that I do not check authenticity of my posts. If anyone can tell me of a non-biased arbitrator, I will attempt to do so more regularly. I know of no such arbitrator for the internet.

The Moose and the man ... Thx Ramey H!

Gives new meaning to the term "GAME WARDEN". Watch and you'll see......

Remington moves out of New York to Alabama ... Thx Alma H!

And by the way:  New York has no place in the constitution and the United States

Good for Remington & the Gov of Alabama !! JUST LOVE IT !

Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D-NY) Doesn't Want Them

Remington, one of the worlds largest gun manufacturers, will on Monday join Gov. Robert Bentley (R) to announce they are bringing over 2,000 jobs to Alabama .

Most of the jobs will be relocated from their Ilion, NY plant, and the initial investment in Alabama will be $87 million.

Founded in 1816 in upstate New York , the company is one of the nations oldest continuously operating manufacturers. Remington is the only U.S. manufacturer of both firearms and ammunition products and one of the largest domestic producers of shotguns and rifles.

Remington first began considering new locations after the New York legislature passed the Secure Ammunition and Firearms Enforcement (SAFE) Act in response to the tragic shootings in Newtown, Conn. It broadened the definition of so-called assault weapons to include a wide range of guns, including the Bushmaster, which was being manufactured at Remingtons New York plant.

A month ago Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D-NY) said extreme conservatives who are right-to-life, pro-assault-weapon, anti-gay, have no place in the state of New York .

Gov. Bentley responded In Alabama we strongly support and uphold our great U.S. Constitution on which our nation and our states were founded.

The Constitution serves to protect individual freedoms. Among them are those guaranteed in the Second Amendment, which protects the right of the people to keep and bear Arms. We will protect the freedoms of individuals and welcome any one or any company to Alabama to discover as so many have, that we are a pro-business state filled with good, hardworking people.

If Gov. Cuomo doesnt want hard working pro-life and pro-2nd Amendment people in his state, we will gladly take them here in Alabama .

Elections are a battle, Liberty is the war. We may lose a battle here and there but we must Never lose the war.  Keep fighting the good fight.

With the regular season winding down, the Wheelersburg softball team is just getting started.

Earlier this week, the Ohio High School Fastpitch Softball Coaches Association ranked the Pirates second in the state in Division III. The Pirates hold a 17-1 record and have yet to drop a game to an in-state opponent.

“I think it’s great for the kids. It’s a reward for all of their hard work,” said Teresa Ruby, head coach of Wheelersburg.

Perhaps no one is working harder for the Pirates than sophomore shortstop Michal Cunningham. She’s batting a cool .615 in the three-hole, and is already committed to play at LSU when her high school career is over.

For opposing pitchers, the lineup doesn’t get much easier following Cunningham. The next four batters following Cunningham are all batting above .350. They are junior catcher Taylor Dempsey, senior right fielder and Wingate commit Hailee Barbarits, senior third baseman Rachel Blair and sophomore first baseman Laiken Salvers.

“One of our strengths that we have is that we are a well-balanced team,” Ruby said. “Our batting lineup, one through nine doesn’t really have a weakness as far as I’m concerned.”

On the mound, the Pirates are led by senior Abbi Sparks. In her eight games, she’s picked up 7 wins and has an earned run average of just 0.91.

Wheelersburg may be excited to be ranked second in the state, but they know their work is far from over.

“I always try and impress upon my kids that it’s a ranking,” Ruby said. “What we’re focused on is doing well in the tournament and getting as far along that path as we can.”

With district tournaments getting underway next week, the Pirates will face a new set of challenges as they battle for a state championship. Often times, teams will go an entire week between rounds of the tournament.

“Our challenge is going to be to stay focused and stay sharp without playing regularly,” Ruby said. “Certainly, during tournament time, you’re going to be playing a lot of quality teams, and our hope is that we’ll be able to be up to the challenge.”

Earlier this week, Wheelersburg was awarded the top seed in the Southeast district. Their journey for a state championship begins May 16, when they take on the winner of Ironton and Dawson-Bryant.

Portsmouth man 59th drum major at OSU ... Thx Denney R!

Higher education

OSU’s next drum major experienced in role

A senior from Portsmouth has been named the 59th drum major of the Ohio State University marching band.
David Pettit, a student in piano performance, was the drum major for four football games in 2013, and he is to handle the duty for the whole season this year. Temporarily filling the role last year was useful experience for this year’s tryouts, he said.
“I was relying on that experience to have the day of my life on (May 3) for my tryout,” he said.
Pettit said tryouts always involve a lot of pressure: “You only have about three minutes on one day to prove why you should have a spot or why you should keep your spot” in the band.
Pettit said his training for this year’s tryouts started when the band returned from the Orange Bowl in Florida in January.
“You train to be perfect, so you can do it in your sleep,” he said.
Pettit said his favorite part of the drum-major experience at Ohio State is running down the ramp into Ohio Stadium at a football game.
“Once you break out of the ramp and hear a wall of sound, it’s just amazing. It’s indescribable how amazing the sights and sounds are; it’s perfect.”
He also looks forward to “leading Script Ohio,” he said. “Those are my two favorite things.”

An old, old story ... Thx Judi C!

(Story may be an old one but the message never gets old!)

A young man was getting ready to graduate from college. For many months he
had admired a beautiful sports car in a dealers showroom, and knowing his
father could well afford it, he told him that was all he wanted.

As Graduation Day approached, the young man awaited signs that his father
had purchased the car. Finally, on the morning of his graduation, his father
called him into his private study, told him how proud he was to have such a
fine son, and how much he loved him. He handed him a beautifully wrapped
 gift box.

Curious, but somewhat disappointed, the young man opened the box and found
a lovely, leather-bound Bible, with his name embossed in gold. Angrily, he
raised his voice to his father and said, "With all your money you give me a
Bible?" He stormed out of the house, leaving the Bible behind.

Many years passed and the young man was very successful in business. He
had a beautiful home and wonderful family, but realized his father was very
old. He thought perhaps he should go to him. He had not seen him since that
graduation day. But before he could make arrangements, he received a
telegram telling him his father had passed away, and willed all of his
possessions to him. He needed to come home immediately and take care of
 things.

When he arrived at his father's house, sadness and regret filled his
heart. He began to search through his father's important documents and saw
the Bible, new, just as he had left it years ago. With tears, he opened the
Bible and began to turn the pages. His father had carefully underlined a
 verse,

Matt 7:11, "And if ye, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your
children, how much more shall your Heavenly Father which is in Heaven, give
to those who ask Him?" As he read those words, a car key dropped from the
back of the Bible. It had a tag with the dealers name, the same dealer who
had the sports car he had desired.
On the tag was the date of his graduation, and the words...PAID IN FULL.

How many times do we miss God's blessings because they are not packaged as
 we expected?

If this touched your heart, please pass it on!!
Please read before you go home or you are at home already, read this to the end.

My name is God. You hardly have time for me. I love you and always bless you.
I am always with you.  I need you to spend 30mins of your time with Me
 today. Don't pray. Just praise.
