For Christian American readers of this blog:

I wish to incite all Christians to rise up and take back the United States of America with all of God's manifold blessings. We want the free allowance of the Bible and prayers allowed again in schools, halls of justice, and all governing bodies. We don't seek a theocracy until Jesus returns to earth because all men are weak and power corrupts the very best of them.
We want to be a kinder and gentler people without slavery or condescension to any.

The world seems to be in a time of discontent among the populace. Christians should not fear. God is Love, shown best through Jesus Christ. God is still in control. All Glory to our Creator and to our God!

A favorite quote from my good friend, Jack Plymale, which I appreciate:

"Wars are planned by old men,in council rooms apart. They plan for greater armament, they map the battle chart, but: where sightless eyes stare out, beyond life's vanished joys, I've noticed, somehow, all the dead and mamed are hardly more than boys(Grantland Rice per our mutual friend, Sarah Rapp)."

Thanks Jack!

I must admit that I do not check authenticity of my posts. If anyone can tell me of a non-biased arbitrator, I will attempt to do so more regularly. I know of no such arbitrator for the internet.

Thx "Silk roads & Siamese Smiles" Author and friend David K, "Abolish the US Department of Education

Abolish the US Department of Education

US Department of Education established in 1979 by Jimmy Carter.
The US now spends more money per student than any other Nation in the world. For all of that, the US now ranks somewhere between 17th to 35th in Global Education Rankings on scholastic achievement.
In 1978, the US was Number 1.
Among adults age 25 to 34, the U.S. is ninth among industrialized nations in the share of its population that has at least a high school degree. In the same age group, the United States ranks seventh, with Belgium, in the share of people who hold a college degree.
By both measures, the United States was first in the world as recently as 20 years ago, said Barry McGaw, director of education for the Paris-based Organization for Cooperation and Development. The 30-nation organization develops the yearly rankings as a way for countries to evaluate their education systems and determine whether to change their policies.
What happened?
The Democratic Party was paid off by Teacher’s Unions to create the Department of Education. The US has been on a free fall in education since.
Abolish the Department of Education. Push Education back down to the States. Centralization of Education is a mistake. It’s a tragedy. No two people learn the same. No two people test the same. You cannot standardize education. We learn differently. We process differently.
The current education system is akin to grabbing a million squares, triangles, circles and ovals and smashing them into star shaped slots.
The American Education Department destroys more than it creates.
“We live in a globally competitive knowledge based economy, and our children today are at a competitive disadvantage with children from other countries,” Duncan said. “That is absolutely unfair to our children and that puts our country’s long term economic prosperity absolutely at risk.”
The Left is going crazy over Betsy DeVos. I can’t see how she can do any worse with the Department of Education than anyone since President Carter established the failed institution.

Dawood- Buy oil- support Terrorists!

DAWOOD KHAN

Substitute the word “Drug” with “Oil”

In thinking out loud on July 7, 2012 at 5:03 am

Substitute every drug reference with an oil reference.  Oil drives terrorism.
Our thirst for oil is what drives terrorism.  Our addiction to oil IS why terrorism exists.
If we stopped purchasing oil from the Arabs, they would have no money for terrorism.  Oil drives the whole show.
Most people are too stupid to make this connection.  I don’t understand why.
Perhaps, it’s propaganda such as this moronic video PSA sponsored by the United State Federal Government.
Anyone who buys the lies being sold in this video is a complete moron.
Most of the terrorist that we are “fighting” today won their spurs with the Mujahideen in Afghanistan.  We, the United States of America, funded the radicalization of Islam when we allowed the Pakistani ISI to control the purse strings during the Aghan-Soviet War of the 1980s.  Pakistan then birthed the Taliban with funds that we gave them and equipped them with war machinery left over from that war.
We created our own enemy.  How convenient for the Military Industrial Complex.  How convenient for the Big Brother advocates of the Left and Right Elite Structure.
But, hey, you guys keep on voting for the very people who are selling you these lies.  It doesn’t matter.  Democrat.  Republican.  Same wolves baring their fangs at the same sheep.
Same Jackboots stomping on the rights “guaranteed” by the United States Constitution.
Honestly, I don’t mind a good war.  I don’t mind violence.  If we’re going to have a War on Terror, why are we not stomping down the doors of Saudi Arabia and Kuwait?
Why?  Oil.
Black Gold.
Every time you fill your tank, you buy another IED vest for the Extremists of Islam.
Keep on keepin’ on, though.

  1. I don’t want to argue with you Dave, but I’ll bet you recall our conversation about the Saudi’s shortly after 9/11/2001. Our elite leaders don’t want to get them mad at us. Let them bomb us on our own soil with their people in our own planes. Clever aren’t they.
I don’t want another war. We may never get out of sending our young to die over there. Some short thinking devil will drop a nuke and the biggest mistake will have started. And it won’t just be over there.

It’s The Only Good Fight There Is

In thinking out loud on May 21, 2012 at 6:26 pm

“If you’re going to try, go all the way. Otherwise, don’t even start. This could mean losing girlfriends, wives, relatives and maybe even your mind. It could mean not eating for three or four days. It could mean freezing on a park bench. It could mean jail. It could mean derision. It could mean mockery–isolation. Isolation is the gift. All the others are a test of your endurance, of how much you really want to do it. And, you’ll do it, despite rejection and the worst odds. And it will be better than anything else you can imagine. If you’re going to try, go all the way. There is no other feeling like that. You will be alone with the gods, and the nights will flame with fire. You will ride life straight to perfect laughter. It’s the only good fight there is.”

American “Soldier” Murders Civilians in Southern Afghanistan

In Afghanistan on March 11, 2012 at 6:18 pm
Salway Kamees or Man Jams
It’s finally happened.  An American has gone off the deep end in Afghanistan.
This guy wakes up this morning.  Puts on some salwar kamees or Man Jams.   Man Jams being the colloquial term for the local fashion of the region.  They’re called Man Jams because they look like pajamas for men.  I own a couple of pair and they are comfortable.  This Insane Idiot grabs his rifle and walks off the base.  I guess when he woke up this morning,  He shit, showered and shaved.  Drank a cup of coffee.  Then he stood up and thought; “Fuck, I’m gonna go kill me some motherfuckers…” and strolls on off the base.
A few minutes later, he’s in the middle of Panjwayi District.  The Dude starts shooting civilians.  The rumor is that he may have wounded or killed up to16 victims.  One rumor has him walking house to house.  Shooting victims in their beds.  That’s the nature of war and rumors.  Every iteration grows in violence and strangeness.  We’ll have to wait for the real story and casualty count.  Once he’s finished, he walks back to the base and turns his rifle and himself in and tells his command what he’s done and that he’s crazy.  He thinks that he should be sent home.  The amazing thing is that he was able to walk off the base, kill several people and walk away unopposed and unnoticed.  No one seems to have known that anything was amiss UNTIL this guy tells them what he’s done.  No one had a clue.  WTF!
Everything is calm.  There are no tires burning.  No protests or demonstrations of which I am aware despite the photos in the attachedmedia links.  I’m sure that most people aren’t even aware of it.  Most of the Afghans who are even aware that something occurred probably still think it was a local bandit.  The rest of Afghanistan is most certainly clueless about the event entirely.
BUT!  The US has released the information on the shooting to the local representatives of the international press.  The local press, of course, is printing the news all over the wires and the internets.  I’ve seen links from media in Pakistan (of course), Indonesia, the AP, Reuters and several others popping up over the last few hours.
It was insane what this guy did.  It was more insane to have released what he did to all points North, South, East and West.  This should have been kept on the down low.
This guy opened up the potential for many, many deaths.  His actions were onerous.  His actions were heinous.  He killed innocent people for no reason other than he was mentally imbalanced.  Someone should have caught that and that soldier should not have been here.
The one thing that is not really being discussed is that this kid is supposedly from the same unit where two soldiers were killed during the Qu’ran Burning Intifada over the last couple of weeks.  I’m sure that is what put the kid over the edge.  He’s here trying to make Afghanistan safe.  Afghans who are supposed to be our allies are murdering us over a couple of burnt books.  Quite a few Coalition Soldiers are angry that Afghans turned on us in such a manner.  There’s a lot of mission burn out over the Qu’ran Burning incident.  Not because the Qu’rans were burned but because Afghan Soldiers went native and started shooting at us and Civilians were so vocal thanks to the press about Americans “disrespecting Islam.”  Most of the Coalition goes out of their way to “respect” Islam.  We’ve spent Billions on this place.  We’ve shed blood in this place.  The Taliban is constantly murdering Afghans and no one bats an eye over it.  Americans burn a few copies of the Qu’ran and it’s a mad house.  Nah, I doubt that has anything to do with this.
But was it a mad house?  Were the demonstrations truly nation wide?  What percentage of the population protested and demonstrated?  From what I could tell, less than 1% of the population demonstrated over the burnt Qu’rans.  That same week of the Qu’ran burnings, I had an Afghan Officer tell me that “we have to pray that the Americans do not leave us.”  The press, though, made it seem as though the country was being over run with protestors and demonstrations were being held in every city, town, hamlet, borough and village.  The media, of course, lies and sensationalizes to sell advertising space or their agenda.
The US Department of State and the US Department of Defense are equally insane for having released the news of the shooting incident.  Lives are at stake here.  Not theoretical lives.  Real lives.  The potential for blood loss from a reaction to this is massive.  Of course, the media will sensationalize any reaction.  They’ll sit at the Serena Hotel or the Safi Landmark Hotel in their comfy chairs and loveseats and type out little white lies and no one will call them on it.
But!  I suppose that if we didn’t release the news in a timely manner, there was no way that we could have sent a swift and appropriately groveling apology for the incident to that thief Hamid Karzai.
The plus side of this, potentially, is that these were people who were killed.  Mere humans.  Political pawns to be played for sure.  They weren’t Qu’rans.  Many Afghans probably won’t bat an eyelash.  They’re inured to violence unless riled up by the local Mullah with a bone to pick.  Especially if it was mostly women who were killed.  No proper Afghan cares about the lives of women.  Especially if they’re past their breeding prime or if they haven’t squeezed out a few boys by the time they’re seventeen.  If they were little girls who were killed, many, if not most, Afghans won’t care much either.
Thankfully, the guy didn’t kill any donkeys or goats.  Then we’d have a real problem on our hands.
I’ve seen donkey deaths cause instant mini-riots.  I’ve seen Afghans shrug off the death of a little girl like it was a fly that had just been swatted.  These two incidents occurred on the Jalalabad Road.  Little Girl gets hit by a car.  They pulled the body off of the street and carried her away.  A donkey got hit and the owner went crazy.  The crowd grew dangerous and started throwing objects.   Both times, it was the French.  They seemed to be prone to these kinds of incidents back in ’05 and ’06.
Since no Qu’rans or livestock were involved, many Afghans will probably give this incident little notice.  Of course, the Afghan politicians (THUGS) will use it to soak us for more money and to show their influence by having Obama and the various ISAF Generals break dance with more groveling apologetic acrobats.  After all, the Coalition funding at their disposal to embezzle is slowly drying up as we near 2014.  The Afghan Parliamentarians, Ministers and Generals need issues like this so they might better fund their retirements.
  1. The families just hit it big playing “The Cash of Infidels Game”. Now they can go buy a few thousand acres of gravel, build a really big mud hut and buy every member of the extended family one hundred goats and a donkey.
  2. We live in an age of instant news…even if it isn’t correct, we want to know. I agree with you that this incident should have remained a need-to-know occurrence, and dealt with by whoever needs to do so. My son is deployed there, different area, and his friend who recently returned from R&R happened to be on FB after the Quran incident happened. I asked him a question about it, and he had never heard anything about it. He’s in an area where the villages have no electricity, as is my son. News travels by word of mouth. Can you imagine what the story about this shooting will be by the time it gets to the outlying areas?!
I’m sorry this happened. It is sad for the families involved, and unfortunate for the US work with the Afghans. Do we KNOW it was a US soldier? Or could it have been Taliban dressed as one? I hope the facts are known soon, and that the facts are made known to people who should know and can prevent more rioting or angry responses.
    • From what I’ve been told….the guy did his thing and came back and turned himself in and confessed. Only then was anyone aware that anything had happened.
      I don’t know. I got it all 2nd and 3rd hand.
  3. The Quran burning and this incident have cost a lot of lives, maimed service people and contractor employees and untold dollars and time spent over there. I understand the crazy soldier was in his fourth deployment over there. I think once in harm”s way is enough. It must be so difficult for our troops to not be able to recognize the enemy . I believe a draft is a more equitable way to obtain troops and spread around the risk taking.
P.S. We, the world, need your first book, Dawood followed by many more.
I’m not currently writing a book. If you come back, I will do what I can to help you write yours if you so desire. You cannot afford to procrastinate young fellow.
Rick is going to Catlanta with Jeanie and me Thursday and we, too, enjoy your great friend.
    Go CATS!
