Welcome

Welcome to my blog http://www.skegley.blogspot.com/ . CAVEAT LECTOR- Let the reader beware. This is a Christian Conservative blog. It is not meant to offend anyone. Please feel free to ignore this blog, but also feel free to browse and comment on my posts! You may also scroll down to respond to any post.

For Christian American readers of this blog:

I wish to incite all Christians to rise up and take back the United States of America with all of God's manifold blessings. We want the free allowance of the Bible and prayers allowed again in schools, halls of justice, and all governing bodies. We don't seek a theocracy until Jesus returns to earth because all men are weak and power corrupts the very best of them.
We want to be a kinder and gentler people without slavery or condescension to any.

The world seems to be in a time of discontent among the populace. Christians should not fear. God is Love, shown best through Jesus Christ. God is still in control. All Glory to our Creator and to our God!

A favorite quote from my good friend, Jack Plymale, which I appreciate:

"Wars are planned by old men,in council rooms apart. They plan for greater armament, they map the battle chart, but: where sightless eyes stare out, beyond life's vanished joys, I've noticed, somehow, all the dead and mamed are hardly more than boys(Grantland Rice per our mutual friend, Sarah Rapp)."

Thanks Jack!

I must admit that I do not check authenticity of my posts. If anyone can tell me of a non-biased arbitrator, I will attempt to do so more regularly. I know of no such arbitrator for the internet.

My SamKat blog vs. Daily Newspaper circulation

I am happy for the more than 19,000 hits on my SamKat blog since its inception in the second half of 2008.  I realize that those hits are miniscule vs. even the lowest circulated weekly newspapers and so many other blogs.   Nonetheless I am so thankful for the many excellent forwarded emails from so many good friends of mine who receive them from their good friends and sources.

Thanks again and enjoy these numbers for Daily newspapers:

A follow-up to Ramey's Splinter removal- SamKat

I consider my sisters, Sharon and Sandy and Jeanie and I very lucky to get off an Everglades swamp boat alive.  It became a thrill ride to me because I imagined being impaled by the jagged water-outcropped growth of one to four inch diameter branches, many pointing in the oposite direction of our speeding boat.  I hope they monitor the drinking conditions of the drivers.  Ours had to be sober.  I'll tell you, I was!

Sam

Splinter removal ... Thanks Ramey Hoskins!

OUCH how bad can a splinter hurt ?

Makes you think twice about speed on the water!!!!

Now This Is A Splinter!

Read the story on this before you think much about it.

* DON'T DRIVE THAT

FISHING BOAT TOO FAST!

* So you thought YOU had

a bad day at the office !

* OK, all you medics... Top this one!

This is an actual emergency room photo of a fisherman

who lost control of his High Speed Bass Boat in West Virginia.

The warden's believe that he was traveling at a speed of approximately

75 mph at the time of the accident.

He was unable to negotiate a curve in the narrow waterway and

unfortunately for him, upon striking the shoreline, he was ejected from the

boat and landed on an old fence post.

You can probably picture what happened next,

but this photograph really says it all.

The good news is after about 6 months,

this man made a full recovery after

suffering a shattered hip, broken leg,

several broken ribs, internal injuries and soft tissue damage.

The doctors credited his recovery to the fact that the post

lodged itself so tightly that there was little or no blood loss.

Now, that's got to hurt!

Senior Health ... Thanks Bob Looney!

Senior Health ... thanks friend Bob Looney!  I know some sharp seniors who may have even considered this.

So you're a sick senior citizen and the government says there is no nursing

home available for you, what do you do?

Our plan gives anyone 65 years or older a gun and 4 bullets. You are allowed

to shoot four Congressmen.

Of course, this means you will be sent to prison where you will get three

meals a day, a roof over your head, central heating, air conditioning and

all the health care you need! Need new teeth? No problem. Need glasses?

That's great. Need a new hip, knees, kidney, lungs or heart? They're all

covered. And, as an added bonus, your kids can come and visit you as often

as they do now.

And who will be paying for all of this? It's the same government that just

told you that you they cannot afford for you to go into a home.

Plus, because you are a prisoner, you don't have to pay any income taxes

anymore.

Is this a great country or what?

Slow Dance Thanks Bob Looney!

I believe I saw this a couple of years ago, Bob.  The count is probably much much higher by now.  Nonetheless, it is excellent!  Whether written by a teenager or a six year old, the thought is tremendous for each of us throughout this life on earth.  Might we become that butterfly?  Thanks good friend!

Subject: Slow Dancer (don't delete, please read)

Slow

Dance

This

is a poem

written by a teenager with cancer.

She wants to

see how many

people get her poem.

It is quite the poem

Please pass it

on.

This

poem was written by a terminally ill young girl in a

New York

Hospital.
It was sent

by

a medical doctor -

Make sure to read what is in the closing statement

AFTER THE

POEM.

SLOW DANCE

Have you ever

watched

kids

on a merry go round
Or listened to

the

rain

Slapping on the ground?

Ever followed a

butterfly's erratic flight?

Or gazed at the sun into the

fading

night?

You better slow down.

Don't

dance so

fast.

Time is short.

The music

won't

last.

Do you run through each day

On

the

fly?

When you ask How are you?

Do you hear

the

reply?

When the day is done

Do you lie

in your

bed

With the next hundred chores

Running through

your head?

You'd better

slow down

Don't dance so

fast.

Time is

short.

The music won't

last.

Ever told your

child,

We'll do it

tomorrow?

And in your

haste,

Not see

his

sorrow?

Ever lost

touch,

Let a good

friendship die

Cause you

never had time

To call

and say,'Hi'

You'd

better slow down.

Don't dance

so fast.

Time

is short.

The music won't

last..

When you run

so fast to get somewhere

You

miss half the fun of getting

there.

When you worry and hurry

through your

day,

It is like an unopened

gift....

Thrown

away.

Life is not a

race.

Do take it

slower

Hear the

music

Before the song is

over.

FOR WARD ED

E-MAILS ARE TRACKED TO OBTAIN THE TOTAL

COUNT.

Dear All:

PLEASE pass this mail on to everyone you know -

even to those you don't

know! It is the request of a special girl who will

soon

leave this world

due to cancer.

This young girl has 6 months left

to live,

and as her dying wish, she wanted to send a letter

telling everyone to

live their life to the fullest, since she never will.

She'll

never make it to prom, graduate from high school,

or get married and have a

family of her own.

By you sending

this to as many people as

possible, you can give her and her family a

little hope, because with every name

that this is sent to, The American

Cancer Society will donate 3 cents per name

to her treatment and recovery

plan. One guy sent this to 500 people! So I know

that we can at least send

it to 5 or 6. It's

not even your money, just

your

time!

PLEASE PASS ON AS A LAST REQUEST.
