Welcome

Welcome to my blog http://www.skegley.blogspot.com/ . CAVEAT LECTOR- Let the reader beware. This is a Christian Conservative blog. It is not meant to offend anyone. Please feel free to ignore this blog, but also feel free to browse and comment on my posts! You may also scroll down to respond to any post.

For Christian American readers of this blog:

I wish to incite all Christians to rise up and take back the United States of America with all of God's manifold blessings. We want the free allowance of the Bible and prayers allowed again in schools, halls of justice, and all governing bodies. We don't seek a theocracy until Jesus returns to earth because all men are weak and power corrupts the very best of them.
We want to be a kinder and gentler people without slavery or condescension to any.

The world seems to be in a time of discontent among the populace. Christians should not fear. God is Love, shown best through Jesus Christ. God is still in control. All Glory to our Creator and to our God!

A favorite quote from my good friend, Jack Plymale, which I appreciate:

"Wars are planned by old men,in council rooms apart. They plan for greater armament, they map the battle chart, but: where sightless eyes stare out, beyond life's vanished joys, I've noticed, somehow, all the dead and mamed are hardly more than boys(Grantland Rice per our mutual friend, Sarah Rapp)."

Thanks Jack!

I must admit that I do not check authenticity of my posts. If anyone can tell me of a non-biased arbitrator, I will attempt to do so more regularly. I know of no such arbitrator for the internet.

Searching for Leaders

"Lead, follow, or get out of the way." Thomas Paine

We seek the modern day incarnations of Madison, Franklin, and Jefferson. It is time to ratchet up our effort so they may step forward. The current system ensures that 95% of the incumbents will be re-elected. We must do things differently.

I've been traveling the country for the last six months with the goal of "planting a seed" in 100 cities. In about two weeks, #100 will be in the ground. The best news is that many have not only sprouted but are thriving. Activity in Texas, Ohio, Idaho, Tennessee, North Carolina, Louisiana, Virginia, Georgia, Florida, Oklahoma and elsewhere is outstanding.

Now, we have a very specific request: we are looking for leaders to step forward in each state. You will be part of a team that will manage all GOOOH activity in your state, a job we expect will take no more than a couple of hours each week. We need a point person to serve as the liaison for Facebook, Meetup and other leaders. You will be asked to oversee a specific assignment each week, recruiting volunteers and ensuring each task is completed on time.

If you are willing to lead or assist in your state, please reply to this email with your city, state, congressional district, and phone number.

Word of GOOOH continues to spread. We have a half dozen radio interviews pending and have completed twice that many in the last month alone (Fact: almost every radio interview is set up by a member like you). Please contact your favorite member of the media and suggest they consider GOOOH for their show (and copy tim@goooh.com). I'll be on WGN's Midday News on 12/16 - a fantastic opportunity arranged by a member - as well as speaking at the Oath Keepers Conference in DC on 12/14. Events are booked in Virginia, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Texas, Oklahoma and elsewhere. Many events are in the works and interest continues to grow.

The 9/12 march on DC rallied millions of Americans, and well over a million took the time to travel to DC at great expense. The event came together within a few months time. We have it in our power to turn our 25,000 members, 75,000 watchers, 30,000 friends, and the rest of the country into 500,000 GOOOH members. But, each and every one of us needs to do our part. Moving forward, please check out GOOOH.com each week for a specific task we would like you to complete.

The system is built. The search will begin as soon as we reach critical mass in membership. We can and will make this happen if we simply commit to doing so.

Sincerely,
Tim C

AMAC vs AARP- David vs Goliath- Thanks Jam,es C Cook!

AMAC vs. AARP - David vs. Goliath
There are two organizations representing citizens 50 plus.
AMAC, the Association of Mature American Citizens has 10’s of thousands of members
AARP has 26 million Members.
The leadership of AARP has proven themselves to be a liberal leaning group that endorsed expensive Obamacare, without the consent of their members.
AMAC (pronounced A- Mack) is one of the leading groups fighting against President Obama’s health care initiative. AMAC has organized “Tea Parties” and participated in rallies against expanding government and raising taxes.
AMAC is pro-life, pro Second Amendment, and thinks government has grown too large and powerful. AMAC feels our elected officials are ignoring the will of the people. The proof of this can be seen in the way Congressmen and Senators have been treating their constituents at the various town hall meetings.
We need more members so we can have more clout with office holders. We need to counter the influence of AARP when they say they are speaking on behalf of Americans aged 50 and over.
AMAC will lead this fight knowing we can win, if you and other patriot Americans stand behind us.
Please go to www.amac.us and sign on as a member. For $12.50/year, you will know we are working on your behalf to stop socialism in America.
David conquered Goliath- and AMAC can beat AARP. Please check out our website and if you agree with us, please tell your friends.
Members receive our magazine and qualify for member discounts on Insurance and other services.

George Carlin on aging!
(Absolutely Brilliant) IF YOU DON'T READ THIS TO THE VERY END, YOU HAVE LOST A DAY IN YOUR LIFE. AND WHEN YOU HAVE FINISHED, DO AS I AM DOING AND SEND IT ON.

George Carlin's Views on Aging

Do you realize that the only time in our lives when we like to get old is when we're kids? If you're less than 10 years old, you're so excited about aging that you think in fractions.

'How old are you?' 'I'm four and a half!' You're never thirty-six and a half. You're four and a half, going on five! That's the key.

You get into your teens, now they can't hold you back. You jump to the next number, or even a few ahead.

'How old are you?' 'I'm gonna be 16!' You could be 13, but hey, you're gonna be 16! And then the greatest day of your life! You become 21. Even the words sound like a ceremony.YOU BECOME 21. YESSSS!!!

But then youturn 30. Oooohh, what happened there? Makes you sound like bad milk! He TURNED; we had to throw him out. There's no fun now, you're Just a sour-dumpling. What's wrong? What's changed?

You BECOME 21, you TURN 30, then you're PUSHING 40. Whoa! Put on the brakes, it's all slipping away. Before you know it, you REACH 50, and your dreams are gone...

But! wait!! ! You MAKE it to 60. You didn't think you would!

So you BECOME 21, TURN 30, PUSH 40, REACH 50, and makeit to 60.

You've built up so much speed that you HIT 70! After that, it's a day-by-day thing; you HIT Wednesday!

You get into your 80's, and every day is a complete cycle; you HIT lunch; you TURN 4:30; you REACH bedtime. And it doesn't end there. Into the 90s, you start going backwards; 'I Was JUST92.'

Then a strange thing happens. If you make it over 100, you become a little kid again. 'I'm 100 and a half!' May you all make it to a healthy 100 and a half!!

HOW TO STAY YOUNG
1. Throw out nonessential numbers. This includes age, weight and height. Let the doctors worry about them. That is why you pay them.

2. Keep only cheerful friends. The grouches pull you down.

3.Keep learning. Learn more about the computer, crafts, gardening, whatever, even ham radio. Never let the brain idle. 'An idle mind is the devil's workshop.' And thedevil'sfamily name isAlzheimer's.

4. Enjoy the simple things.

5.Laugh often, long and loud. Laugh until you gasp for breath.

6. The tears happen. Endure, grieve, and move on. The only person, who is with us our entire life, is ourselves. Be ALIVE while you are alive.

7. Surround yourself with what you love, whether it's family, pets, keepsakes, music, plants, hobbies, whatever.Your home is your refuge.

8. Cherish your health: If it is good, preserve it. If it is unstable, improve it. If it is beyond what you can improve, get help.

9. Don't take guilt trips. Take a trip to the mall, even to the next county; to a foreign country, but NOT to where the guilt is.

10. Tell the people you love that you love them, at every opportunity. AND, ALWAYS REMEMBER: Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away. And, if you don't send this to at least 8 people - who cares? But do share this with someone. We all need to live life to its fullest each day!!

Life's journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally used up and worn out, shouting '...man,what a ride!'

Enjoy the ride. There is no return ticket.

The blind boy- e-mail Thanks Pat Richards Whitehead!

A blind boy sat on the steps of a building with a hat by his feet. He held up a sign which said: "I am blind, please help." There were only a few coins in the hat.

A man was walking by. He took a few coins from his pocket and dropped them into the hat. He then took the sign, turned it around, and wrote some words. He put the sign back so that everyone who walked by would see the new words.

Soon the hat began to fill up. A lot more people were giving money to the blind boy. That afternoon the man who had changed the sign came to see how things were. The boy recognized his footsteps and asked, "Were you the one who changed my sign this morning? What did you write?"

The man said, "I only wrote the truth. I said what you said but in a different way."
I wrote: "Today is a beautiful day but I cannot see it."

Both signs told people that the boy was blind. But the first sign simply said the boy was blind. The second sign told people that they were so lucky that they were not blind. Should we be surprised that the second sign was more effective?

Moral of the Story: Be thankful for what you have. Be creative. Be innovative. Think differently and positively.

When life gives you a 100 reasons to cry, show life that you have 1000 reasons to smile…Face your past without regret. Handle your present with confidence. Prepare for the future without fear. Keep the faith and drop the fear.

The most beautiful thing is to see a person smiling¦
And even more beautiful is knowing that you are the reason behind it!!!

If you like, share.
