George Denis Patrick Carlin (May 12, 1937 – June 22, 2008) was an American stand-up comedian, actor, author, and social critic. He was known for his black comedy and reflections on politics, the English language, psychology, religion, and various taboo subjects. He and his "seven dirty words" comedy routine were central to the 1978 U.S. Supreme Court case F.C.C. v. Pacifica Foundation, in which a 5–4 decision affirmed the government's power to regulate indecent material on the public airwaves. Widely regarded as one of the most important and influential stand-up comics of all time, Carlin was dubbed by one newspaper to be "the dean of counterculture comedians".[ 1]
Ole Sammy's comments:
George Carlin has put together an interesting few words in the above.
It is sufficiently evil in my mind, and well written, as sin is always presented so well and so temptingly.
This human, I, can yet believe in the visibility of God in this universe by His creative results in the solar system with the stars and the planets and even the microsystems of living things.
This human sees loving discipline in the ten commandments. Yes, they tout good ways over evil ways.
Births of all living things and especially human beings are also astonishingly wonderful.
This guy also believes that Hell exists and may even be within the magma inside this earth, but I truly do not know where. It may only be in a suffering soul.
God granted each of us free choice to believe or not.
Abraham had prepared Isaac to be a sacrificial offering on the altar of burning wood, but God presented a substitutional sacrifice.
God is so disappointed in His human creation and their propensity to enjoy evil ways. He developed His own good plan.
He prepared Jesus Christ, His own Son, for living the life of miracles and prophecies, but did not have a substitute presented when Jesus suffered the humility mocking insults by God created Humans.
There was no substitute to take Christ's place on the cross.
The substitution was by the Son of Almighty God for the sins of each of us. God's plan showed truly tough love in our witness of that.
This human believes that God doesn't need the money. Jesus said before he ascended 'In my Father's house are many mansions ... there you will be with me always'.
The resurrection was the most wonderful event of Christianity and most Christians belief in God. and His rewards for lives well lived, in accepting His own and His Son's sacrifices
Herein is Just a sinning Ole Sammy's response which I hope you, my friend Dawood Kahn, will not take offense by as David may have thought I have with Carlin's.
Ole SamKat Sammy keeps on trying, as a sinning Christian, David.
Sam always values your friendship, fellow UK Wildcat fan.
