For Christian American readers of this blog:

I wish to incite all Christians to rise up and take back the United States of America with all of God's manifold blessings. We want the free allowance of the Bible and prayers allowed again in schools, halls of justice, and all governing bodies. We don't seek a theocracy until Jesus returns to earth because all men are weak and power corrupts the very best of them.
We want to be a kinder and gentler people without slavery or condescension to any.

The world seems to be in a time of discontent among the populace. Christians should not fear. God is Love, shown best through Jesus Christ. God is still in control. All Glory to our Creator and to our God!

A favorite quote from my good friend, Jack Plymale, which I appreciate:

"Wars are planned by old men,in council rooms apart. They plan for greater armament, they map the battle chart, but: where sightless eyes stare out, beyond life's vanished joys, I've noticed, somehow, all the dead and mamed are hardly more than boys(Grantland Rice per our mutual friend, Sarah Rapp)."

Thanks Jack!

I must admit that I do not check authenticity of my posts. If anyone can tell me of a non-biased arbitrator, I will attempt to do so more regularly. I know of no such arbitrator for the internet.

Wonderful car dealer, Sonny!

Thanks Sonny Hoskins!  My dad had a 47 Huson in 1950, which I introduced to a fire plug right in the middle of the grill.  It wasn't long enough after WW II for late model cars to become available to the publc.  I woke up after 73 hours awake and a late date with my foxy girl friend from New Boston, Jeanette Weddington, now my wife of 63 years next month.  I was on my way back to McConnell Ave. from New Boston.  I remember stopping at the red light on Rhodes Ave. in the terminals.  I must have made the right turn and a left turn shortly then another red light and a left turn to meet the plug within about a tenth of a mile.  It hit the Hudson's grill right smack dab in the middle.  I have never been a drinker, but sleep overcame me.  The water was gushing like a Yellowstone geyser, and I thought "Gosh!  There can't be that much water in the radiator.  Dad had to drive the junky 39 Chevy for a month which I had just purchased while the Hudson was repaired.  My brother, Bud, two years older, was very mad because he mostly drove the car and cleaned and polished it constantly. but dad didn't say a cross word to me.

Dad, Forest Earl Kegley - N&W conductor,  and I guess all of his kids loved Hudsons because he did.  My two year younger brother, George, would buy this 46 model if you could lend him a dollar.

Thanks again good friend!

Difference between complete and finished ... Thx Lyle S!

Subject: FW: English lesson

From: choonrim

Here's your English lesson for the day!
"Complete" or "Finished"?

No dictionary has ever been able to satisfactorily define the difference between "complete" and "finished." However, during a recent linguistic conference, held in London , England , and attended by some of the best linguists in the world, Samsundar Balgobin, a Guyanese linguist, was the presenter when he was asked to make that very distinction.

The question put to him by a colleague in the erudite audience was this: "Some say there is no difference between 'complete' an 'finished.' Please explain the difference in a way that is easy to understand."

Mr. Balgobin's response: "When you marry the right woman, you are 'complete.' If you marry the wrong woman, you are 'finished.' And, if the right one catches you with the wrong one, you are 'completely finished.'"

His answer received a five minute standing ovation.."
