Thanks so much, Terry.
This means a lot to me. My second book was "Acquaintances with Integreity" and I suggested a list of subjects to each interviewee. Afterwards, many asked me why I didn't include them who are my friends. That was not a purposeful thing on my or their part. My priorities of choice were just not comprehensive. Terry Krause and his family are all acquaintances with integrity of mine.
Most of us have been put in the same situations in life on occasion, and thoughts ran through our heads like this gentleman's. Just a litte test, yet an important one.
Whether we are Christians or not, integrity is such an important part of our individual lives.
But, as Christians, would we do as Judas did, and sell Christ out for thirty pieces of silver, or even a quarter. I won't claim that I have passed every integrity test in my life, some have seemed so 'little', but it is the fact, not the price that counts.
THE BUS RIDE
Several years ago, a preacher from out-of-state accepted a call to a church in Houston, Texas.
Some weeks after he arrived, he had an occasion to ride the bus from his home to the downtown area.
When he sat down, he discovered that the driver had accidentally given him a quarter too much change.
As he considered what to do, he thought to himself, 'You'd better give the quarter back.
It would be wrong to keep it.' Then he thought, 'Oh, forget it, it's only a quarter.
Who would worry about this little amount?
Anyway, the bus company gets too much fare; they will never miss it. Accept it as a gift from God and keep quiet.'
When his stop came, he paused momentarily at the door, then he handed the quarter to the driver and said, 'Here, you gave me too much change.'
The driver, with a smile, replied, 'Aren' t you the new preacher in town?
I have been thinking a lot lately about going somewhere to worship. I just wanted to see what you would do if I gave you too much change. I'll see you at church on Sunday.'
When the preacher stepped off of the bus, he literally grabbed the nearest light pole, held on, and said, 'Oh God, I almost sold your Son for aquarter.'
Our lives are the only Bible some people will ever read.
This is a really a scary example of how much people watch us as Christians and will put us to the test!
Always be on your guard -- and remember -- You carry the name of Christ on your shoulders when you call yourself 'Christian.'
Watch your thoughts; they become words.
Watch your words; they become actions.
Watch your actions; they become habits.
Watch your habits; they become character.
Watch your character; it becomes your destiny.
I'm glad a friend forwarded to me as a reminder. God bless you; I hope you are having a wonderful day!
If you don't pass this on to anybody, nothing bad will happen; If you do, you will have ministered to someone

For Christian American readers of this blog:
I wish to incite all Christians to rise up and take back the United States of America with all of God's manifold blessings. We want the free allowance of the Bible and prayers allowed again in schools, halls of justice, and all governing bodies. We don't seek a theocracy until Jesus returns to earth because all men are weak and power corrupts the very best of them.
We want to be a kinder and gentler people without slavery or condescension to any.
The world seems to be in a time of discontent among the populace. Christians should not fear. God is Love, shown best through Jesus Christ. God is still in control. All Glory to our Creator and to our God!
A favorite quote from my good friend, Jack Plymale, which I appreciate:
"Wars are planned by old men,in council rooms apart. They plan for greater armament, they map the battle chart, but: where sightless eyes stare out, beyond life's vanished joys, I've noticed, somehow, all the dead and mamed are hardly more than boys(Grantland Rice per our mutual friend, Sarah Rapp)."
Thanks Jack!
I must admit that I do not check authenticity of my posts. If anyone can tell me of a non-biased arbitrator, I will attempt to do so more regularly. I know of no such arbitrator for the internet.
