My dear wife of 66 years, Jeanie, fears that I get so mad I will bring myself to a nervous breakdown. Perhaps she is right. I pray not as the hypocritical Christian that I am. I think God is helping me. None other can.
I have a strong belief that the world's biggest scam is upon seniors like me. I retired 21 years ago from a a well-paying engineering job. My experiences in these 21 years is that the dearth of customer service began with telephone companies when they created 'system answering services'. Such systems save the using parties the salaries of telephone operators but ultimately costs them the loss of customers. Systems delay customer service and shields the suppliers from the needs of customers, seniors in particular.
I did not retire from the engineering career to spend my life on-hold, transferring, finally getting people on line which my poor hearing and their poor English can decipher. But I have a strong belief that 19 of my 21 retiree years have been spent in my attempts to keep things clean between any supplier and us.
Yes, Jeanie, I have deep frustrations causing a need for "anger management". I believe our sincere prayers for relief of my anger to the absolute primary physician a few minutes ago is helping already.
A thing that Creates the most serious nervous breakdowns is a tendency to 'hold you anger in' when it is better to let it be honestly expressed to relieve the hurting inside.
I know that I am the only senior or person in the world who suffers these frustrations but I also continually pray for the master physician to help the world in curing this poor 'answering service system' of telephone companies.
Sam, Kegley
