For Christian American readers of this blog:

I wish to incite all Christians to rise up and take back the United States of America with all of God's manifold blessings. We want the free allowance of the Bible and prayers allowed again in schools, halls of justice, and all governing bodies. We don't seek a theocracy until Jesus returns to earth because all men are weak and power corrupts the very best of them.
We want to be a kinder and gentler people without slavery or condescension to any.

The world seems to be in a time of discontent among the populace. Christians should not fear. God is Love, shown best through Jesus Christ. God is still in control. All Glory to our Creator and to our God!

A favorite quote from my good friend, Jack Plymale, which I appreciate:

"Wars are planned by old men,in council rooms apart. They plan for greater armament, they map the battle chart, but: where sightless eyes stare out, beyond life's vanished joys, I've noticed, somehow, all the dead and mamed are hardly more than boys(Grantland Rice per our mutual friend, Sarah Rapp)."

Thanks Jack!

I must admit that I do not check authenticity of my posts. If anyone can tell me of a non-biased arbitrator, I will attempt to do so more regularly. I know of no such arbitrator for the internet.

NFL QB surprises kids who lost parents in the war. Patirotvideo.com GB QB Aaron Rodgers

I was able to view this video, but haven't been able to forward it to you.

These Children Lost Their Parents In the War, What One Quarterback Did For Them Will Put a Tear in Your Eye

One thing the NFL has an abundance of are misfits who need some direction. The other thing it has an abundance of are athletes who aren’t just heroes on the field, but heroes off the field too.
Aaron Rodgers is one of those heroes.
Partnering up with Camp Hometown Heroes, Aaron Rodgers decided he’d spend some time with 4 young children who lost their fathers fighting for our freedom.
Watch this touching video and see what Rodgers did for these young kid.
Make sure to go to the 1:54 mark and see the young boy’s reaction, it’s pretty funny.
You can rest assured that no liberals would be willing to do something like this.
What they’d do instead is take potshots at our fallen heroes, just as Michael Moore and Seth Rogen have done since “American Sniper” was released.
Even though it’s a small thing, it’s so encouraging to see what our heroes on the gridiron are willing to do for those who have sacrificed so much.
What’d you think of this video?

Old Rusty Bucket ... Thx Marge R!

THE OLD DENTED BUCKET ~~~~ IT MADE MY DAY
         Subject: THE OLD DENTED BUCKET

Our house was directly across the street from the clinic entrance of
Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore. We lived downstairs and rented the
upstairs rooms to out-patients at the clinic.

One summer evening as I was fixing supper, there was a knock at the
door. I opened it to see a truly awful looking man. "Why, he's hardly
taller than my 8-year-old," I thought as I stared at the stooped,
shriveled body. But the appalling thing was his face, lopsided from
swelling, red and raw.

Yet his voice was pleasant as he said, "Good evening. I've come to see
if you've a room for just one night. I came for a treatment this morning
from the eastern shore, and there's no bus 'til morning."

He told me he'd been hunting for a room since noon but with no success,
no one seemed to have a room. "I guess it's my face .... I know it looks
terrible, but my doctor says with a few more treatments .."

For a moment I hesitated, but his next words convinced me: "I could
sleep in this rocking chair on the porch. My bus leaves early in the
morning."

I told him we would find him a bed, but to rest on the porch.. I went
inside and finished getting supper. When we were ready, I asked the old
man if he would join us. "No, thank you. I have plenty." And he held up
a brown paper bag.

When I had finished the dishes, I went out on the porch to talk with him
a few minutes. It didn't take a long time to see that this old man had
an oversized heart crowded into that tiny body. He told me he fished for
a living to support his daughter, her 5 children, and her husband, who
was hopelessly crippled from a back injury.

He didn't tell it by way of complaint; in fact, every other sentence was
preface with a thanks to God for a blessing. He was grateful that no
pain accompanied his disease, which was apparently a form of skin
cancer. He thanked God for giving him the strength to keep going...
At bedtime, we put a camp cot in the children's room for him. When I got
up in the morning, the bed linens were neatly folded and the little man
was out on the porch.

He refused breakfast, but just before he left for his bus, haltingly, as
if asking a great favor, he said, "Could I please come back and stay the
next time I have a treatment? I won't put you out a bit. I can sleep
fine in a chair." He paused a moment and then added, "Your children made
me feel at home. Grownups are bothered by my face, but children don't
seem to mind."

I told him he was welcome to come again.

And, on his next trip, he arrived a little after 7 in the morning. As a
gift, he brought a big fish and a quart of the largest oysters I had
ever seen! He said he had shucked them that morning before he left so
that they'd be nice and fresh. I knew his bus left at 4:00 a.m. And I
wondered what time he had to get up in order to do this for us.

In the years he came to stay overnight with us, there was never a time
that he did not bring us fish or oysters or vegetables from his garden.
Other times we received packages in the mail, always by special
delivery; fish and oysters packed in a box of fresh young spinach or
kale, every leaf carefully washed. Knowing that he must walk 3 miles to
mail these, and knowing how little money he had made the gifts doubly
precious.

When I received these little remembrances, I often thought of a comment
our next-door neighbor made after he left that first morning.
"Did you keep that awful looking man last night? I turned him away! You
can lose roomers by putting up such people!"

Maybe we did lose roomers once or twice. But, oh!, if only they could
have known him, perhaps their illnesses would have been easier to bear.
I know our family always will be grateful to have known him; from him we
learned what it was to accept the bad without complaint and the good
with gratitude to God.

Recently while visiting a friend, who has a greenhouse, as she showed me
her flowers, we came to the most beautiful one of all, a golden
chrysanthemum, bursting with blooms. But to my great surprise, it was
growing in an old dented, rusty bucket. I thought to myself,

"If this were my plant, I'd put it in the loveliest container I had!"

My friend changed my mind. "I ran short of flower pots," she explained, "and
knowing how beautiful this one would be, I thought it wouldn't mind
starting out in this old pail. It's just for a little while, till I can
put it out in the garden."

She must have wondered why I laughed so delightedly, but I was imagining
just such a scene in heaven.

"Here's an especially beautiful one," God might have said when he came
to the soul of the sweet old fisherman. "He won't mind starting in this
small body."

All this happened long ago - and now, in God's garden, how tall this
lovely soul must stand.

The LORD does not look at the things man looks at. Man looks at the
outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart." (1 Samuel 16:7b)
Friends are very special. They make you smile and encourage you to
succeed. They lend an ear and they share a word of praise.

Show your friends how much you care.

Pass this on, and brighten someone's day.

The only thing that will happen if you DO pass it on is that
someone might smile (because of you).

From an old rusty bucket - Have a wonderful day!!!!.

Amazing fish story in Ohio ... thanks Judi C.!

Amen to this!

Subject: Amazing Story...and true!
A Fish Story.........
This is true!

A guy who lives at Lake Saint Marys

(60 miles north of Dayton , OH ) saw a ball bouncing

around kind of strange in the lake and went to

investigate.

It turned out to be a flathead catfish that had

apparently tried to swallow a basketball which

became stuck in its mouth!!

The fish was totally exhausted from trying to

dive, but unable to, because the ball would

always bring him back up to the surface.

The guy tried numerous times to get the ball out,

but was unsuccessful. He finally had his wife cut

the ball in order to deflate it and release the hungry

catfish.

You probably wouldn't have believed this,

if you hadn't seen the following pictures:

Be kinder than necessary
because everyone bites off
more than they can chew
sometime in life...

Dependence re-cycle on Independence Day -Thanks Nita!

One day a man saw an old lady, stranded on the side of the road, but even in the dim light of day, he could see she needed help. So he pulled up in front of her Mercedes and got out. His Honda was still sputtering when he approached her.
Even with the smile on his face, she was worried. No one had stopped to help for the last hour or so. Was he going to hurt her? He didn't look safe; he looked poor and hungry.

He could see that she was frightened, standing out there in the cold. He knew how she felt. It was those chills which only fear can put in you.

He said, 'I'm here to help you, ma'am. Why don't you wait in the car where it's warm? By the way, my name is Bryan Anderson.'

Well, all she had was a flat tire, but for an old lady, that was bad enough. Bryan crawled under the car looking for a place to put the jack, skinning his knuckles a time or two. Soon he was able to change the tire. But he had to get dirty and his hands hurt.

As he was tightening up the lug nuts, she rolled down the window and began to talk to him. She told him that she was from St. Louis and was only just passing through. She couldn't thank him enough for coming to her aid.

Bryan just smiled as he closed her trunk. The lady asked how much she owed him. Any amount would have been all right with her. She already imagined all the awful things that could have happened had he not stopped. Bryan never thought twice about being paid. This was not a job to him. This was helping someone in need, and God knows there were plenty, who had given him a hand in the past. He had lived his whole life that way, and it never occurred to him to act any other way.

He told her that if she really wanted to pay him back, the next time she saw someone who needed help, she could give that person the assistance they needed, and Bryan added, 'And think of me.'

He waited until she started her car and drove off. It had been a cold and depressing day, but he felt good as he headed for home, disappearing into the twilight.

A f ew miles down the road the lady saw a small cafe. She went in to grab a bite to eat, and take the chill off before she made the last leg of her trip home. It was a dingy looking restaurant. Outside were two old gas pumps. The whole scene was unfamiliar to her. The waitress came over and brought a clean towel to wipe her wet hair. She had a sweet smile, one that even being on her feet for the whole day couldn't erase. The lady noticed the waitress was nearly eight months pregnant, but she never let the strain and aches change her attitude. The old lady wondered how someone who had so little could be so giving to a stranger. Then she remembered Bryan .

After the lady finished her meal, she paid with a hundred dollar bill. The waitress quickly went to get change for her hundred dollar bill, but the old lady had slipped right out the door. She was gone by the time the waitress came back. The waitress wondered where the lady could be. Then she noticed something written on the na pkin.

There were tears in her eyes when she read what the lady wrote: 'You don't owe me anything. I have been there too. Somebody once helped me out, the way I'm helping you. If you really want to pay me back, here is what you do: Do not let this chain of love end with you.'

Under the napkin were four more $100 bills.

Well, there were tables to clear, sugar bowls to fill, and people to serve, but the waitress made it through another day. That night when she got home from work and climbed into bed, she was thinking about the
Money and what the lady had written. How could the lady have known how much she and her husband needed it? With the baby due next month, it was going to be hard......

She knew how worried her husband was, and as he lay sleeping next to her, she gave him a soft kiss and whispered soft and low, 'Everything's going to be all right. I love you, Bryan Anderson.'

There is an old saying 'What goes around comes around.' Today I sent you this story and I'm asking you to pass it on. Let this light shine. God works in mysterious ways and sometimes puts people in our lives for a reason.

Don't delete it, don't return it. Simply, pass this on to a friend, I just did!!!!!!!!
