I would have gone to bed when I was sick instead of pretending the earth would go into a holding pattern if I weren't there for the day. I would have burned the pink candle sculpted like a rose before it melted in storage. I would have talked less and listened more. I would have invited friends over to dinner even if the carpet was stained, or the sofa faded. I would have eaten the popcorn in the 'good' living room and worried much less about the dirt when someone wanted to light a fire in the fireplace. I would have taken the time to listen to my grandfather ramble about his youth. I would have shared more of the responsibility carried by my husband. I would never have insisted the car windows be rolled up on a summer day because my hair had just been teased and sprayed. I would have sat on the lawn with my grass stains. I would have cried and laughed less while watching television and more while watching life. I would never have bought anything just because it was practical, wouldn't show soil, or was guaranteed to last a lifetime. Instead of wishing away nine months of pregnancy, I'd have cherished every moment and realized that the wonderment growing inside me was the only chance in life to assist God in a miracle.. When my kids kissed me impetuously, I would never have said, 'Later... Now go get washed up for dinner.' There would have been more 'I love you's, more 'I'm sorry's.' But mostly, given another shot at life, I would seize every minute; look at it and really see it; live it and never give it back.. STOP SWEATING THE SMALL STUFF! Don't worry about who doesn't like you, who has more, or who's doing what Instead, let's cherish the relationships we have with those who do love us... If you don't mind, send this on to all the women you are grateful to have as friends. Maybe we should all grab that purple hat earlier. Please send this to five phenomenal women today in celebration of Beautiful Women's Month. If you do, something good will happen -- you will boost another woman's self esteem.

The following book appears interesting.  I just listened a little to Jonathan Heidt on 98.9FM The Answer- Dennis Prater.  A young teacher in the Cafe' of Xenos told us that polls have found that secular people view Christians as critical and judgmental.  I know that many of my friends and family think that of me.  You should nmot discuss politics or religion.  That's argumentative.  With the secular leaders of our country now we should all be willint to discuss the liberal view vs. the conservative view.  Polls show that 86 % of Americans believe ikn God and 14 % do not/  In spite of the basic thought, mostly young voters eleced obama 2ho is either secular or muslim.  I believe he is muslim  as he once declared, as such, he supports the tenants of the Koran which mentions Jihads and Kill the  Infidels- i.e. any who are not muslims.  The 14 % and some non-voting conservatives helped elect thius guy for his second term and he is fundamentally changing America.  No communist or socialist nation has ever lasted so long as our demopcracy in America which has been greatly blessed by God.  How much longer will God tolerate our citizens or our non-representative leaders?  God is in control and He will make the call.  It is prophesied that Christ will come again to the earth and rule for a thousand years.  Nobody knows when.

Haidt (Psychology/Univ. of Virginia; The Happiness Hypothesis: Finding Modern Truth in Ancient Wisdom, 2005, etc.) lays out a rich landscape of morality, presenting a cross-cultural, evolutionarily sensible scenario wherein a moral universe can be shaped from six moral foundations: care/harm, fairness/cheating, loyalty/betrayal, authority/subversion, sanctity/degradation and liberty/oppression. Haidt examines, via a wide array of theories, research and experimentation, how various subsets—for instance, the WEIRD (Western, educated, industrial, rich, democratic) group—emphasize one or more of the foundations with respect to group traditions and evolutionary progress. He explains how he has arrived at an intuitionist’s rather than a rationalist’s stance regarding the elemental governing of our moral behavior—a framework with us at birth, though not deterministic—how our reasoning comes later to justify our social agenda and how moral intuitions such as loyalty, authority and sanctity gather such subjective importance and potential evolutionary value. He arrives at a broad definition of moral systems as “interlocking sets of values, virtues, norms, practices, identities, institutions, technologies, and evolved psychological mechanisms that work together to suppress or regulate self-interest and make cooperative societies possible.” Haidt finds within Western democracies an ethnic and moral diversity that is best served by utilitarianism, producing the greatest total good, and that happiness comes from “getting the right relationships between yourself and others, yourself and your work, and yourself and something larger than yourself.”
A cogent rendering of a moral universe of fertile complexity and latent flexibility.

SO TRUE, SO,SO SAD! I have not read of a single dollar reduction in foreign aid as a result of sequestering. All items cut were for the express purpose of hurting the American taxpayer/working people the most!     Well? DEMOCRATS and  Republicans ('different' ONLY in name) We read all the jokes and forward the good ones but I just wonder who will pass this one on. How about you sending it on, and back to me, if you have enough 'chutzpah' to do so. I do And I wonder just how many I will get back? Someone please tell me what's wrong with All the people that run this country!!!!!! Both Democrats and Republicans Say, "We're broke" And can't help our own Veterans, Seniors, Orphans, Homeless, Etc.,????? But, over the last several years THEY have provided direct cash aid to..... Hamas - $351 M, Libya     $1.45 B, Egypt - $397 M, Mexico - $622 M, Russia - $380 M, Haiti -    $1.4 B, Jordan - $463 M, Kenya - $816 M, Sudan - $870 M, Nigeria - $456 M, Uganda - $451 M, Congo - $359 M, Ethiopia - $981 M, Pakistan - $2 B, South Africa - $566 M, Senegal - $698 M, Mozambique - $404 M, Zambia - $331 M, Kazakhstan - $304 M, Iraq     -   $1.08 B, Tanzania - $554 M, ...with literally Billions of Dollars and they still hate us!!!! But on the other hand,  Our retired seniors, Living on a 'fixed income,' Receive NO aid! Nor do they get any breaks, while our government And religious organizations will pour Hundreds of Billions Of $$$$$$'s and Tons of Food  to Foreign Countries! And another atrocity.... We have Hundreds of adoptable American Children who are shoved aside To make room for The adoption of Foreign orphans. AMERICA: A country where we have Countless Homeless without shelter, Children going to bed hungry, Elderly going without needed medication and the Mentally ill without treatment -- etc. YET.......... They will have a 'Benefit' Show For the people of Haiti , on 12 TV Stations; Ships and planes lining up with food, water, tents clothes, bedding, doctors and medical supplies. Now Just Imagine if Our own *GOVERNMENT* Gave 'US' the same support they give to foreign countries. Sad, isn't it? 99% of people won't have the 'chutzpah' to forward this. WELL, I'm one of the 1% who Just Did.

I neither mask that I, SamKat, am a Tea Party Supporter, nor that our votes go with the Republican party whether they deserve them or not.   Sarah Palin is our strongest among all of our speakers.  she defied big oil while Alaska's governor and, in spite of the media mashing she took as a vice-presidential candidate, she retains her full strength and full speed ahead to save America attitude better than any others.

Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin criticized the Senate immigration bill for lacking teeth on border security, going after Florida Sen. Marco Rubio specifically, in a long Facebook post Monday.

Palin detailed several amendments that were presented that she argues would have increased security at the border but were all voted down.

"It's beyond disingenuous for anyone to claim that a vote for the bill is a vote for security," the former Republican vice presidential candidate wrote.

"Look no further than the fact that Senator Rubio and amnesty supporters nixed Senator Thune's amendment that required the feds to finally build part of a needed security fence before moving forward on the status of illegal immigrants who've already broken the law to be here," she said.

She then cited the amendment offered by Republican Sen. Rand Paul of Kentucky that made similar demands as Thune's amendment, which was also voted down.

"And if shooting down the border fence wasn't proof enough, they blew another chance by killing Senator Paul's 'Trust But Verify' amendment, which required the completion of a fence in five years and required Congress to vote on whether the border is actually secure before furthering any immigration measures," Palin wrote.

She also criticized the Corker-Hoeven amendment presented last Thursday that would put an additional 20,000 border patrol agents to the border with Mexico 10 years after it is enacted, after certain goals are met.

"Now the Senate's pro-amnesty crowd is offering a fig leaf to security via the Corker-Hoeven Amendment, but this is really nothing more than empty promises," she said. "It's amnesty right now and border security ... eh, well, someday."
