Beautiful, Carol and Clay! You two have brought as much glory to Portsmouth Clay and the Portsmouth area as any of our finest athletes or coaches. Greatness has been with each of you all of your lives. Why shouldn't we, your friends, pray fervently for your well being? And our Lord always responds.
I copy many people and put things in my blog, but Carol is undergoing physical therapy for two recent knee replacements. I have never done anything like that, but I am earnestly told stories of how tough that can be.
Much before that, Carol taught at Portsmouth Clay and she and Clay coached Ohio State Championship Softball teams (Carol also coached an undefeated swim team of youngsters even before that). Through 11 years of girls' softball they had an unbelievable 93 % winning record and three Ohio State Championships. We have extraordinary friends in Carol and Clay Vice and their family. More of their stories are in my Excellence in Athletics in trhe Portsmouth Area book (2004).
My thanks to those of you that have kept in touch
and have kept me and my family in your thoughts and prayers.
You can not imagine how much it has meant to me and
helped me; even if only for a brief moment in time.
My prayer today is that God blesses you in those things in
your lives that are in need of His loving touch.
The nicest place to be is in someone's THOUGHTS!
The safest place to be is in someone's PRAYERS!
And the best place to be is in... GODS HANDS!
WE'RE IN ALL 3!
