For Christian American readers of this blog:

I wish to incite all Christians to rise up and take back the United States of America with all of God's manifold blessings. We want the free allowance of the Bible and prayers allowed again in schools, halls of justice, and all governing bodies. We don't seek a theocracy until Jesus returns to earth because all men are weak and power corrupts the very best of them.
We want to be a kinder and gentler people without slavery or condescension to any.

The world seems to be in a time of discontent among the populace. Christians should not fear. God is Love, shown best through Jesus Christ. God is still in control. All Glory to our Creator and to our God!

A favorite quote from my good friend, Jack Plymale, which I appreciate:

"Wars are planned by old men,in council rooms apart. They plan for greater armament, they map the battle chart, but: where sightless eyes stare out, beyond life's vanished joys, I've noticed, somehow, all the dead and mamed are hardly more than boys(Grantland Rice per our mutual friend, Sarah Rapp)."

Thanks Jack!

I must admit that I do not check authenticity of my posts. If anyone can tell me of a non-biased arbitrator, I will attempt to do so more regularly. I know of no such arbitrator for the internet.

Retirement Years - Sam Kegley

Retirement Years - Sam Kegley

I will soon complete 20 years of retirement from my career as a metallurgical Engineer.

Most retirees live only five years after retiring.

Jeanie and I are happy that our efforts saw that each son completed their undergraduate degrees and went on to graduate educations and nice careers.  Jay recently required as a supervisor from the Columbus Metropolitan Library - by many considered the best municipal library in the world.  Jeff retired from teaching biology and other science courses in the greatly recognized Grandview schools. Each was very good to their spouses and children.

Unfortunately, retirement cannot be as successful for our two sons as it has for Jeanie and me, even in this once great United States of America. I did not advise them to retire.  They don't entirely understand why.  I must repeat:   I must admit though that my income leveled out 19 years ago and inflation is sapping our living expenses too direly!

I have, mostly, worked diligently and hard all of my life.  Jeanie has stayed with me (65 years in January).  We are in love with each other and with Jesus Christ, the Son of God.

My mother and father worked hard in providing for their ten kids.  I remember Bill Rohr, my favorite teacher from Portsmouth High School, telling us 16 year olds that: " I don't care what you do, even if it is digging holes, dig yours rounder and better, and somebody will notice."

After serving as Battalion Supply Clerk  in a US Army Topographic Battalion in Tokyo, I returned with an honorable discharge and went to work in Goodyear Atomic's Stores Department.  We were dispensing laboratory supplies to technical people mostly from their X-710 Laboratory Building.  After about six months of doing so, Mr. John Henry of the Metallurgy Laboratory asked if I would be interested in working there as a technician.  I immediately said that I would.  John said further that he and his associates noted that I was "conscientious" and that is why they were interested ion me.  I love that word "conscientious" and it is more or lesss what my dad Forest Kegley and mother, Mary Kegley, always taught by their wonderful examples in our home.

I am attempting to re-enter the work force in some manner on a part time basis.  I believe my age is against me in that I do not want to flip burgers for a pittance.

I thank God for the life Jeanie and I have lived and I do not fear the hereafter.    Voting in 2016 is too important to miss for each American. There are obvious differences in the two candidates.  One is rich from business, the mainstay of American economics, and the other is rich from stealing from each of us, as a supposed 'public servant'.
