Hey Jon, Dianne here. Ron is on the golf course so allow me to answer your question.
In my opinion he is an excellent choice for Secretary of State. A few things work in his favor; he has an impeccable work history and work ethic; even though he has no "political" experience, he has dealt with foreign governments all over the globe and done it very successfully. You don't make million dollar deals with heads of state and not know how to be diplomatic during negotiations. He already knows Russia, China, Africa and everyone else in between.
We had an opportunity to be invited to a dinner with the Tillersons and 4 other couples while in Doha. I was so impressed at how down to earth and humble a man he is, just a very nice guy. I was most impressed by him.
He has been and still is very involved with Boy Scouts. He is an Eagle Scout.
Bottom line is I think he will do the US very proud. I have no doubt that Ron will be able to say more but these are my two cents.
