Welcome
Welcome to my blog http://www.skegley.blogspot.com/ . CAVEAT LECTOR- Let the reader beware. This is a Christian Conservative blog. It is not meant to offend anyone. Please feel free to ignore this blog, but also feel free to browse and comment on my posts! You may also scroll down to respond to any post.
For Christian American readers of this blog:
I wish to incite all Christians to rise up and take back the United States of America with all of God's manifold blessings. We want the free allowance of the Bible and prayers allowed again in schools, halls of justice, and all governing bodies. We don't seek a theocracy until Jesus returns to earth because all men are weak and power corrupts the very best of them.
We want to be a kinder and gentler people without slavery or condescension to any.
The world seems to be in a time of discontent among the populace. Christians should not fear. God is Love, shown best through Jesus Christ. God is still in control. All Glory to our Creator and to our God!
A favorite quote from my good friend, Jack Plymale, which I appreciate:
"Wars are planned by old men,in council rooms apart. They plan for greater armament, they map the battle chart, but: where sightless eyes stare out, beyond life's vanished joys, I've noticed, somehow, all the dead and mamed are hardly more than boys(Grantland Rice per our mutual friend, Sarah Rapp)."
Thanks Jack!
I must admit that I do not check authenticity of my posts. If anyone can tell me of a non-biased arbitrator, I will attempt to do so more regularly. I know of no such arbitrator for the internet.

I've learned ... thanks Deloris Salyers!
Pleasefew
read all the way to the bottom:
Written
by Andy Rooney , a man who has the gift of saying so much with so
words.spectacular.
I've
learned.... That
the best classroom in the world is at the feet of an elderly person.
I've
learned.... That
when you're in love, it shows.
I've
learned.... That
just one person saying to me, 'You've made
my day!' makes my day.
I've
learned ....
That having a child fall asleep in your arms is one of the most
peaceful feelings in the world.
I've
learned ....
That being kind is more important than being right.
I've
learned ....
That you should never say no to a gift from a child.
I've
learned ....
That I can always pray for someone when I don't have the strength to
help him in some other way.
I've
learned ....
That no matter how serious your life requires you to be, everyone
needs a friend to act goofy with.
I've
learned ....
That sometimes all a person needs is a hand to hold and a heart to
understand.
I've
learned ....
That simple walks with my father around the block on summer nights
when I was a child did wonders for me as
an adult.
I've
learned ....
That life is like a roll of toilet paper. The closer it gets to the
end, the faster it goes.
I've
learned ...
. That we should be glad God doesn't give us everything we ask for.
I've
learned ....
That money doesn't buy class.
I've
learned ....
That it's those small daily happenings that make life so
that
I've
learned ...
That under everyone's hard shell is someone who wants to be
appreciated and loved.
I've
learned ....
That to ignore the facts does not change the facts.
I've
learned ....
That when you plan to get even with someone, you are only letting
person continue to hurt you.myself
I've
learned ....
That love, not time, heals all wounds.
I've
learned ....
That the easiest way for me to grow as a person is to surround
with people Smarter than I am.tomorrow
I've
learned ....
That everyone you meet deserves to be greeted with a smile.
I've
learned ..
That no one is perfect until you fall in love with them.
I've
learned ...
That life is tough, but I'm tougher.
I've
learned ....
That opportunities are never lost; someone will take the ones you
miss.
I've
learned ....
That when you harbor bitterness, happiness will dock elsewhere.
I've
learned ....
That I wish I could have told my Mom that I love her one more time
before she passed away.
I've
learned ....
That one should keep his words both soft and tender, because
he may have to eat them.
I've
learned ....
That a smile is an inexpensive way to improve your looks.
I've
learned ....
That when your newly born grandchild holds your little finger in his
little fist, that you're hooked for life.
I've
learned ....
That everyone wants to live on top of the mountain, but all the
happiness and growth occurs while you're climbing it.
I've
learned ....
That the less time I have to work with, the more things I get done.
To
all of you ....
Make sure you read all the way down to the last sentence.
It's

Gentle reminders ... thanks Lyle Shover!
Subject: Gentle Reminders
A young lady confidently walked around the room while leading and explaining stress management to an audience;
with a raised glass of water, and everyone knew she was going to ask the ultimate question, 'half empty or half full?'..... she
fooled them all... "How heavy is this glass of water?", she inquired with a smile.
Answers called out ranged from 8 oz. to 20 oz.
She replied, "The absolute weight doesn't matter. It depends on how long I hold it. If I hold it for a minute, that's not a
problem. If I hold it for an hour, I'll have an ache in my right arm. If I hold it for a day, you'll have to call an ambulance. In each
case it's the same weight, but the longer I hold it, the heavier it becomes."
She continued, "and that's the way it is with stress. If we carry our burdens all the time, sooner or later, as the burden
becomes increasingly heavy, we won't be able to carry on."
"As with the glass of water, you have to put it down for a while and rest before holding it again. When we're refreshed, we
can carry on with the burden - holding stress longer and better each time practiced.
So, as early in the evening as you can, put all your burdens down. Don't carry them through the evening and into the night...
pick them up tomorrow.
Whatever burdens you're carrying now, let them down for a moment. Relax, pick them up later after you've rested. Life is
short. Enjoy it and the now 'supposed' stress that you've conquered!"
1 * Accept the fact that some days you're the pigeon, and some days you're the statue!
2 * Always keep your words soft and sweet, just in case you have to eat them.
3 * Always read stuff that will make you look good if you die in the middle of it.
4 * Drive carefully... It's not only cars that can be recalled by their Maker..
5 * If you can't be kind, at least have the decency to be vague
6 * If you lend someone $20 and never see that person again, it was probably worth it..
7 * It may be that your sole purpose in life is simply to serve as a warning to others.
8 * Never buy a car you can't push.
9 * Never put both feet in your mouth at the same time, because then you won't have a leg to stand on.
10 * Nobody cares if you can't dance well. Just get up and dance.
11 * Since it's the early worm that gets eaten by the bird, sleep late.
12 * The second mouse gets the cheese.
13 * When everything's coming your way, you're in the wrong lane.
14 * Birthdays are good for you. The more you have, the longer you live.
15 * You may be only one person in the world, but you may also be the world to one person.
16 * Some mistakes are too much fun to make only once.
17 * We could learn a lot from crayons. Some are sharp, some are pretty and some are dull. Some have weird
names and all are different colors, but they all have to live in the same box.
18 * A truly happy person is one who can enjoy the scenery on a detour.
19 * Have an awesome day and know that someone thought about you today.
20 * It was me, your friend! *Save the earth..... It's the only planet with chocolate !*
Life is Too short to eat vanilla ice cream!!!
Always ask never assume! ... thanks Clay Vice!

32 Month report card for obama ... Thanks Lou flores!

Fascinating for sure! ... thanks Ramey sonny Hoskins!
Fascinating,
I've never given most of this a thought.
God's accuracy
may be observed in the hatching of eggs.
For
example:
-the eggs of
the potato bug hatch in 7 days;
-those of the
canary in 14 days;
-those of the
barnyard hen in 21 days;
-the eggs of
ducks and geese hatch in 28 days;
-those of the
mallard in 35 days;
-the eggs of
the parrot and the ostrich hatch in 42 days.
(Notice, they are all divisible by seven, the number of days in a week!) God's wisdom is seen in the making of an elephant. The four legs of this great beast all bend forward in the same direction. No other quadruped is so made. God planned that this animal would have a huge body, too large to live on two legs. For this reason He gave it four fulcrums so that it can rise from the ground easily.
The horse rises
from the ground on its two front legs first.
A cow rises
from the ground with its two hind legs first.
How wise the
Lord is in all His works of creation!
God's wisdom is
revealed in His arrangement of sections and segments, as well as in the number
of grains.
-Each watermelon has an even number of stripes on the rind. -Each orange has an even number of segments. -Each ear of corn has an even number of rows. -Each stalk of wheat has an even number of grains. -Every bunch of bananas has on its lowest row an even number of bananas, and each row decreases by one, so that one row has an even number and the next row an odd number.
-The waves of the sea roll in on shore twenty-six to the minute in all kinds of weather.
All grains are found in even numbers on the stalks, and the Lord specified thirty fold, sixty fold, and a hundred fold - all even numbers.
God has caused the flowers to blossom at certain specified times during the day, so that Linnaeus, the great botanist, once said that if he had a conservatory containing the right kind of soil, moisture and temperature, he could tell the time of day or night by the flowers that were open and those that were closed.
The lives of each of you may be ordered by the Lord in a beautiful way for His glory, if you will only entrust Him with your life. If you try to regulate your own life, it will only be a mess and a failure. Only the One Who made the brain and the heart can successfully guide them to a profitable end.

Eruption of Iceland Volcano ... thanks Ramey!
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/earth/earthnews/6553592/Climate-change-sceptic-Ian-Plimer-argues-CO2-is-not-causing-global-warming.html
Apparently
this guy and others of like
persuasion don't have credentials enough to be heard by the main stream press
and the U. N. global warming crowd.
Global
Warming?
Read this . . . there's room for thought.
Professor Ian Plimer (a member of the School of Earth and
Environmental Sciences at the University of Adelaide . He is also a joint
member of the School of
Civil, Environmental and Mining Engineering). I could not have said it
better! If you've
read his book you will agree, this is a good summary.

Are you
sitting down?
Okay, here's the bombshell. The volcanic eruption
in Iceland , since its first spewing of
volcanic ash, in just FOUR DAYS NEGATED EVERY SINGLE EFFORT you have made in the
past five years to control CO2emissions on our
planet.
Of course you know about this evil carbon dioxide that we are trying
to suppress, that vital chemical compound that every plant requires to live and
grow, and to synthesize into oxygen for us humans, and all animal
life. I know, it's very
disheartening to realize that all of the carbon emission savings you have
accomplished while suffering the inconvenience and expense of:
driving Prius hybrids, buying
fabric grocery bags, sitting up till midnight to finish your kid's "The Green
Revolution" science project, throwing out all of your non-green cleaning
supplies, using only two squares of toilet paper, putting a brick in your toilet
tank reservoir, selling your SUV and speedboat, vacationing at home instead of
abroad, nearly getting hit every day on your bicycle, replacing all of your 50
cents light bulbs with $10.00 light bulbs...well, all of those things you have
done have all gone down the tubes in just four
days.
The volcanic ash emitted into the Earth's atmosphere in just four
days - yes - FOUR DAYS ONLY by that volcano in Iceland, has totally erased every
single effort you have made to reduce the evil beast, carbon.
And there are around
200 active volcanoes on the planet spewing out this crud any one time - EVERY
DAY.
I don't really want to rain on your parade too much, but I should
mention that when the volcano Mt Pinatubo erupted in the Philippines in 1991, it
spewed more greenhouse gases into the atmosphere than the entire human race had
emitted in its entire TIME on earth.
Mt Pinatubo was
active for over one year. Think about it.
Of course I shouldn't spoil this touchy-feely tree-hugging moment
by
mentioning the effect
of solar and cosmic activity and the well-recognized 800-year global heating and
cooling cycle which keep happening despite our completely insignificant efforts
to affect climate change.
I wish I had a silver lining to this volcanic ash cloud but the fact
of the matter is that the brush fire season across
the western USA and
Australia this year alone will negate
your efforts to reduce carbon in our world for the next two to three years.
And it happens every
year.
Just remember that your government just tried to impose a whopping
carbon tax on you on the basis of the bogus ''human-caused'' climate change
scenario. Isn't it interesting
how they don't mention ''Global Warming'' any more, but just ''Climate Change''
- you know why? It's
because the planet has COOLED by 0.7 degrees in the past century and these
global warming bullshit artists got caught with their pants down.
Just keep in mind that you might
yet have an Emissions Trading Scheme (that whopping new tax) imposed on you,
that will achieve absolutely nothing except make you poorer.
It won't stop any
volcanoes from erupting, that's for sure. But hey, relax, give the world a hug and have a nice
day!
PS: I wonder if Iceland is buying carbon
offsets?
