Thanks Patricia!
You were a beautiful girl at Portsmouth High School (46-50) and I was probably, honestly, too shy to even flirt with you. Gwila P. Fisher or Carl Clark wouldn't believe that. That Ted Truitt, who married our beautiful classmate, Anne was aware of you according to one of the pool pictures you sent. He is a fox and also he and Ann are still good friends.
You have sent me some beautiful e-mails and that speaks well of your accumulated taste throughout your life.
Thanks good friend and Go Trojans!
Sam

www.skegley.blogspot.com The Blog of Sam Kegley. Many of my posts to this site are forwarded from trusted friends or family which I acknowledge by their first Name and last initial. I do not intend to release their contact info.
Welcome
Welcome to my blog http://www.skegley.blogspot.com/ . CAVEAT LECTOR- Let the reader beware. This is a Christian Conservative blog. It is not meant to offend anyone. Please feel free to ignore this blog, but also feel free to browse and comment on my posts! You may also scroll down to respond to any post.
For Christian American readers of this blog:
I wish to incite all Christians to rise up and take back the United States of America with all of God's manifold blessings. We want the free allowance of the Bible and prayers allowed again in schools, halls of justice, and all governing bodies. We don't seek a theocracy until Jesus returns to earth because all men are weak and power corrupts the very best of them.
We want to be a kinder and gentler people without slavery or condescension to any.
The world seems to be in a time of discontent among the populace. Christians should not fear. God is Love, shown best through Jesus Christ. God is still in control. All Glory to our Creator and to our God!
A favorite quote from my good friend, Jack Plymale, which I appreciate:
"Wars are planned by old men,in council rooms apart. They plan for greater armament, they map the battle chart, but: where sightless eyes stare out, beyond life's vanished joys, I've noticed, somehow, all the dead and mamed are hardly more than boys(Grantland Rice per our mutual friend, Sarah Rapp)."
Thanks Jack!
I must admit that I do not check authenticity of my posts. If anyone can tell me of a non-biased arbitrator, I will attempt to do so more regularly. I know of no such arbitrator for the internet.

Lou Pritchett to Our President- Dave Miller and John Massey
Thanks Dave!
I received a similar e-mail from my good friend, John Massey. Lou Prichett has his head on straight and I certainly identify with him. President O has never met a microphhone he hasn't fell in love with. He and his speech writer(s) are the busiest people in Washington DC now and he will "talk" at any audience anywhere, anytime. If he only knew what he is saying. He must be getting directions from the King of Saudi Arabia, who has been happy to support the Islamic Extremists with a lot of money. How many times must our President cow tail with the Saudis?

Procter and Gamble Tycoon has a message for our President
Lou Pritchett is one of corporate America's true living legends -- an acclaimed author, dynamic teacher and one of the world's highest-rated speakers. Successful corporate executives everywhere recognize him as the foremost leader in change management. Lou changed the way America does business by creating an audacious concept that came to be known as "partnering." Pritchett rose from soap salesman to Vice-President, Sales and Customer Development for Procter and Gamble and over the course of 36 years and made corporate history.
AN OPEN LETTER TO PRESIDENT OBAMA:
Dear President Obama:
You are the thirteenth President under whom I have lived and unlike any of the others, you truly scare me.
You scare me because after months of exposure, I know nothing about you.
You scare me because I do not know how you paid for your expensive Ivy League education and your upscale lifestyle and housing with no visible signs of support.
You scare me because you did not spend the formative years of youth growing up in America and culturally you are not an American.
You scare me because you have never run a company or met a payroll.
You scare me because you have never had military experience, thus don't understand it at its core.
You scare me because you lack humility and 'class', always blaming others.
You scare me because for over half your life you have aligned yourself with radical extremists who hate America and you refuse to publicly denounce these radicals who wish to see America fail.
You scare me because you are a cheerleader for the 'blame America ' crowd and deliver this message abroad.
You scare me because you want to change America to a European-style country where the government sector dominates instead of the private sector.
You scare me because you want to replace our healthcare system with a government-controlled one.
You scare me because you prefer 'windmills' to responsibly capitalizing on our own vast oil, coal and shale reserves.
You scare me because you want to kill the American capitalist goose that lays the golden egg which has provided the highest standard of living in the world.
You scare me because you have begun to use 'extortion' tactics against certain banks and corporations.
You scare me because your own political party shrinks from challenging you on your wild and irresponsible spending proposals.
You scare me because you will not openly listen to or even consider opposing points of view from intelligent people.
You scare me because you falsely believe that you are both omnipotent and omniscient.
You scare me because the media gives you a free pass on everything you do.
You scare me because you demonize and want to silence the Limbaughs, Hannitys, O'Relllys and Becks who offer opposing, conservative points of view.
You scare me because you prefer controlling over governing.
Finally, you scare me because if you serve a second term I will probably not feel safe in writing a similar letter in eight years.

From PHS 1950 grads and friends-Guidance
Thanks to Ted and Ann nd tom and Carolyn for this good message on Guidance:
G U I D A N C E
Dancing With God
When I meditated on the word Guidance,
I kept seeing "dance" at the end of the word.
I remember reading that doing God's will is a lot like dancing.
When two people try to lead, nothing feels right.
The movement doesn't flow with the music,
and everything is quite uncomfortable and jerky.
When one person realizes that, and lets the other lead,
both bodies begin to flow with the music.
One gives gentle cues, perhaps with a nudge to the back
or by pressing Lightly in one direction or another.
It's as if two become one body, moving beautifully.
The dance takes surrender, willingness,
and attentiveness from one person
and gentle guidance and skill from the other.
My eyes drew back to the word Guidance.
When I saw "G": I thought of God, followed by "u" and "i".
"God, "u" and "i" dance."
God, you, and I dance.
As I lowered my head, I became willing to trust
that I would get guidance about my life.
Once again, I became willing to let God lead...
My prayer for you today is that God's blessings
and mercies are upon you on this day and everyday.
May you abide in God, as God abides in you.
Dance together with God, trusting God to lead
and to guide you through each season of your life.
This prayer is powerful and there is nothing attached.
If God has done anything for you in your life,
please share this message with someone else.
There is no cost but a lot of rewards;
so let's continue to pray for one another.
And I Hope You Dance Through 2009

Thanks for reading my blog- Please comment!
Believe me when I tell you that I appreciate all who read my blog, but I would appreciate a few comments. The "How to Comment" section in the top left of the Blog homepage instructs the way to comment.
It should be easy to do so, but if not please let me know your experience at commenting if you have tried. I am certain that my young guru, Shawn Baird, will help me make it easier for you. My good friend, Clay Vice, has added to the number who visit, but I would like more comments on a given topic- agreeing or disagreeing.
Thanks!

You Could Have Heard A Pin Drop !!
GOD BLESS AMERICA !!!
YOU COULD HAVE HEARD A PIN DROP
When in England , at a fairly large conference, Dr. Condi Rice was asked by the Archbishop of Canterbury if our plans for Iraq were just an example of empire building by George Bush..
She answered by saying, "Over the years, the United States has sent many of its fine young men and women into great peril to fight for freedom beyond our borders. The only amount of land we have ever asked for in return is enough to bury those that did not
return."
You could have heard a pin drop.
There was a conference in France where a number of international engineers were taking
part, including French and American. During a break, one of the French engineers came back into the room saying "Have you heard the latest dumb stunt Bush has done? He has sent an aircraft carrier to Indonesia to help the tsunami victims. What does he intended to do, bomb them?"
A Boeing engineer stood up and replied quietly: "Our carriers have three hospitals on board that can treat several hundred people; they are nuclear powered and can supply emergency electrical power to shore facilities; they have three cafeterias with the capacity to feed 3,000 people three meals a day, they can produce several thousand gallons of fresh water from sea water each day, and they carry half a dozen helicopters for use in transporting victims and injured to and from their flight deck. We have eleven such ships;
how many does France have?"
You could have heard a pin drop.
A U.S. Navy Admiral was attending a naval conference that included Admirals from the U.S. , English, Canadian, Australian and French Navies. At a cocktail reception, he found himself standing with large group of Officers that included personnel from most of those
countries. Everyone was chatting away in English as they sipped their drinks but a French admiral suddenly complained that, whereas Europeans learn many languages, Americans
learn only English. He then asked, "Why is it that we always have to speak English in these conferences rather than speaking French?"
Without hesitating, the American Admiral replied, "Maybe it's because the Brits, Canadians, Aussies and Americans arranged it so you wouldn't have to speak German."
You could have heard a pin drop.
AND THIS STORY FITS RIGHT IN WITH THE ABOVE..
.
Robert Whiting, an elderly gentleman of 83, arrived in Paris by plane. At French Customs, he took a few minutes to locate his passport in his carry on.
"You have been to France before, monsieur?" the customs officer asked sarcastically.
Mr. Whiting admitted that he had been to France previously.
"Then you should know enough to have your passport ready."
The American said, ''The last time I was here, I didn't have to show it..."
"Impossible. Americans always have to show their passports on arrival in
France!"
The American senior gave the Frenchman a long hard look. Then he quietly
explained, "Well, when I came ashore at Omaha Beach on D-Day in 1944 to help liberate this country, couldn't find a single Frenchmen to show a passport to."
You could have heard a pin drop.
If you are proud to be an American, pass this on! If not delete it.
May The Lord Bless and Keep You Safe in Your Everyday Endeavors !!!

Muslim or Christian? John Massey E-Mail
Thanks John,
All the things we wonder about this US president can, or will, be denied without malice by those accepting the denials. I read a recent interview of him while on No. 1, and it was all spin in so far as I read. A few words that appeared to match the question, but an underlying thread of campaign rhetoric.
Sam
This came to me from a Jewish friend. John
Michelle Obama's trip...Interesting Information!...It
explains a lot!
I was at Blockbusters on Saturday renting videos, and I
was going along the wall and there was a video called "Obama". I told the
men next to me that I wouldn't waste my time. We started talking about Obama.
These guys were Arabs, and I asked them why they
thought Michele Obama headed home following her visit in France instead of
traveling on to Saudi Arabia and Turkey with her husband. They said she
couldn't go to Saudi Arabia , Turkey or Iraq . I said "Laura Bush went to
Saudia Arabia , Turkey , Dubai ." They answered, "Obama is a Muslim,
and by Muslim law, he would not be allowed to bring his wife into the
countries that accept Sharia Law." Just thought it was interesting that the
Arabs at Blockbuster's accept the idea that we're being led by a
Muslim who follows the Islamic creed. They also said that's the reason he
bowed to the King of Saudi Arabia. It was a signal to the Muslim world.
Just thought you would like to know. Odd, I thought HE SAID he was a
Christian. Now hewouldn't lie to us would he?

Introduction to Christ from Ramey Hoskins 6-3-09
This is powerful. Thanks Ramey! To all my blog readers: I am inept at adding links to my blog. You may have to type this one in yourselves, but it is extremely worthwhile to do so.

I sent this around perhaps 3 months ago ... it came by again and I wanted to send it our again!?!
> This is awesome!!!!!!! Not only the intro but the crowd reaction!!!!!!

> It's hard to imagine that this is a comedian and not a preacher, and

> because...well, you'll see.
Oh wouldn't it be wonderful if Steve Harvey could replace Jeremiah Wright!
