For Christian American readers of this blog:

I wish to incite all Christians to rise up and take back the United States of America with all of God's manifold blessings. We want the free allowance of the Bible and prayers allowed again in schools, halls of justice, and all governing bodies. We don't seek a theocracy until Jesus returns to earth because all men are weak and power corrupts the very best of them.
We want to be a kinder and gentler people without slavery or condescension to any.

The world seems to be in a time of discontent among the populace. Christians should not fear. God is Love, shown best through Jesus Christ. God is still in control. All Glory to our Creator and to our God!

A favorite quote from my good friend, Jack Plymale, which I appreciate:

"Wars are planned by old men,in council rooms apart. They plan for greater armament, they map the battle chart, but: where sightless eyes stare out, beyond life's vanished joys, I've noticed, somehow, all the dead and mamed are hardly more than boys(Grantland Rice per our mutual friend, Sarah Rapp)."

Thanks Jack!

I must admit that I do not check authenticity of my posts. If anyone can tell me of a non-biased arbitrator, I will attempt to do so more regularly. I know of no such arbitrator for the internet.

A Personal Message from Michelle Malkin
Dear Reader,

I'm so proud to announce that my new book, Culture of Corruption, is #1 on the New York Times bestseller list for the second consecutive week!

If you haven't read it yet, let me give you just a little taste:

Phew. Janitors in newsrooms across America worked overtime in the halcyon days after Barack Obama won the presidency. It wasn't easy cleaning the drool off laptops and floors in the offices of journalists everywhere. New York Times columnist David Brooks praised Team Obama's "postpartisan rhetoric" and "practical creativity." Awestruck Good Morning America anchor Robin Roberts echoed the conventional wisdom: "Some would say it's a team of rivals, Ã la President Lincoln, or is a better comparison a team of geniuses as FDR did?"

I wrote this book to give you the exhaustive answer that President Obama's gyrating media harem doesn't want you to read.

Obama's team is a dysfunctional and dangerous group of business-as-usual cronies. The corruption stretches from wealthy power brokers Rahm Emanuel and Valerie Jarrett, to pay-to-play-tainted Michelle Obama and Joe Biden, to ethically challenged, bailout-bungling money men Larry Summers and Tim Geithner at Treasury, crime-coddling corporate lawyer Eric Holder at DOJ, to the crooked Service Employees International Union, and the ever-expanding swamp of Washington lobbyists.

This book pulls together the familiar and not-so-familiar pieces to force Obama hagiographers to confront an alternate narrative. A reality-based narrative. A narrative of incompetence, nepotism, influence-peddling, and self-dealing that defies the stubborn myth that Barack Obama is the One True Agent of Hope and Change.

In short: This is a government of the crony, by the lobbyist, and for all the well-heeled, well-connected people Barack Obama spent his entire campaign demonizing.

In the era of "new politics," judge him as you would judge other mere mortals. Judge him not by the company that preceded him. Judge him by the company he keeps.

Thanks for your time. If you've already bought Culture of Corruption-thank you! If not, use one of the links below to buy it online today.

Sincerely,

Michelle Malkin

Thanks once more, Alma!

Bill Cosby has a great way of distilling things. Looks like he's done it
again!

I HAVE DECIDED TO BECOME A WRITE-IN CANDIDATE.

HERE IS MY PLATFORM:

(1) 'Press 1 for English' is immediately banned. English is the official
language; speak it or wait at the border until you can.

(2) We will immediately go into a two year isolationist posture to
straighten out the country's attitude. NO imports, no exports. We will
use the 'Wal-Mart 'S policy, 'If we ain't got it, you don't need it.'

(3) When imports are allowed, there will be a 100% import tax on it.

(4) All retired military personnel will be required to man one of our
many observation towers on the southern border (six month tour). They
will be under strict orders not to fire on SOUTHBOUNDaliens.

(5) Social security will immediately return to its original state. If
you didn't put nuttin in, you ain't getting nuttin out. The president
nor any other politician will be able to touch it.

(6) Welfare - Checks will be handed out on Fridays at the end of the 40
hour school week and the successful completion of urinalysis and a
passing grade.

(7) Professional Athletes--Steroids. The FIRST time you check positive
you're banned for life.

(8) Crime - We will adopt the Turkish method, the first time you steal,
you lose your right hand. There is no more life sentences. If convicted
of murder, you will be put to death by the same method you chose for
your victim; gun, knife, strangulation, etc.

(9) One export will be allowed, Wheat. The world needs to eat. A bushel
of wheat will be the exact price of a barrel of oil.

(10) All foreign aid using American taxpayer money will immediately
cease, and the saved money will pay off the national debt and ultimately
lower taxes.. When disasters occur around the world, we'll ask the
American people if they want to donate to a disaster fund, and each
citizen can make the decision whether it's a worthy cause.

(11) The Pledge of Allegiance will be said every day at school and every
day in Congress.

(12) The National Anthem will be played at all appropriate ceremonies,
sporting events, outings, etc.

If I stepped on anyone's toes, tough....

GOD BLESS AMERICA .

You might want to forward this to everyone you know, no matter which
side of the fence they're on.

Thanks Alma- Charles Krauthammer's assessment

Subject: Dr. Krauthammer

THIS IS HEAVY!!! PLEASE SHARE!!!

Dr. Krauthammer - what is happening
(Out of concern for what is happening in our country, I'm sending this
along FYI).

"Kindness is in our power, even when fondness is not."

Dr. Krauthammer is on Fox News. He is an M.D. and he is paralyzed from
the neck down. Be forewarned on what is happening. A friend went to
hear Charles Krauthammer. He listened with 25 others in closed room.
What he says here, is NOT 2nd-hand but 1st. You would do well to read
and pass this along to EVERYBODY that loves his country. This is VERY
serious for the direction of our country. The ramifications are
staggering for us & our children.

Last Monday was a profound evening, hearing Dr. Charles Krauthammer
speak to the Center for the American Experiment. He is brilliant
intellectual, seasoned & articulate. He is forthright and careful in
his analysis, and never resorts to emotions or personal insults. He is
NOT a fear monger nor an extremist in his comments and views. He is a
fiscal conservative, and has a Pulitzer Prize for writing. He is a
frequent contributor to Fox News and writes weekly for the Washington
Post. The entire room was held spellbound during his talk. I have
shared this with many of you and several have asked me to summarize his
comments, as we are living in uncharted waters economically and
internationally. Even 2 Dems at my table agreed with everything he
said! If you feel like forwarding this to those who are open minded and
have not drunk the Kool-Aid, feel free. Summary of his comments:

1. Mr. Obama is a very intellectual, charming individual. He is not
to be underestimated. He is a cool customer who doesn't show his
emotions. It's very hard to know what's behind the mask. Taking down
the Clinton dynasty from a political neophyte was an amazing
accomplishment. The Clintons still do not understand what hit them.
Obama was in the perfect place at the perfect time.

2. Obama has political skills comparable to Reagan and Clinton. He has
a way of making you think he's on your side, agreeing with your
position, while doing the opposite. Pay no attention to what he SAYS;
rather, watch what he DOES!

3. Obama has a ruthless quest for power. He did not come to Washington
to make something out of himself, but rather to change everything,
including dismantling capitalism. He can't be straightforward on his
ambitions, as the public would not go along. He has a heavy hand, and
wants to level the playing field with income redistribution and
punishment to the achievers of society. He would like to model the USA
to Great Britain or Canada .

4. His three main goals are to control ENERGY, PUBLIC EDUCATION, &
NATIONAL HEALTHCARE by the Federal government. He doesn't care about
the auto or financial services industries, but got them as an early
bonus. The cap and trade will add costs to everything and stifle
growth. Paying for FREE college education is his goal. Most scary is
his healthcare program, because if you make it FREE and add 46,000,000
people to a Medicare-type single-payer system, the costs will go
through the roof. The only way to control costs is with massive
RATIONING of services, like in Canada . God forbid.

5. He has surrounded himself with mostly far-left academic types. No
one around him has ever even run a candy store. But they are going to
try and run the auto, financial, banking and other industries. This
obviously can't work in the long run. Obama is not a socialist; rather
he's a far-left secular progressive bent on nothing short of revolution.
He ran as a moderate, but will govern from the hard left. Again, watch
what he does, not what he says.

6. Obama doesn't really see himself as President of the United States ,
but more as a ruler over the world. He sees himself above it all,
trying to orchestrate & coordinate various countries and their agendas.
He sees moral equivalency in all cultures. His apology tour in Germany
and England was a prime example of how he sees America , as an
imperialist nation that has been arrogant, rather than a great noble
nation that has at times made errors. This is the first President ever
who has chastised our allies and appeased our enemies!

7. He is now handing out goodies. He hopes that the bill (and pain)
will not come due until after he is reelected in 2012. He would like to
blame all problems on Bush from the past, and hopefully his successor in
the future. He has a huge ego, and Mr. Krauthammer believes he is a
narcissist.

8. Republicans are in the wilderness for a while, but will emerge
strong. Were pining for another Reagan, but there will never be another
like him. Krauthammer believes Mitt Romney, Tim Pawlenty & Bobby
Jindahl (except for his terrible speech in February) are the future of
the party. Newt Gingrich is brilliant, but has baggage. Sarah Palin is
sincere and intelligent, but needs to really be seriously boning up on
facts and info if she is to be a serious candidate in the future. We
need to return to the party of lower taxes, smaller government, personal
responsibility, strong national defense, and state's rights.

9. The current level of spending is irresponsible and outrageous. We
are spending trillions that we don't have. This could lead to
hyperinflation, depression, or worse. No country has ever spent
themselves into prosperity. The media is giving Obama, Reid and Pelosi
a pass because they love their agenda. But eventually the bill will
come due and people will realize the huge bailouts didn't work, nor will
the stimulus package. These were trillion-dollar payoffs to Obama's
allies, unions and the Congress to placate the left, so he can get
support for #4 above.

10. The election was over in mid-September when Lehman brothers failed,
fear and panic swept in, we had an unpopular President, and the war was
grinding on indefinitely without a clear outcome. The people are in
pain, and the mantra of change caused people to act emotionally. Any
Dem would have won this election; it was surprising it was as close as
it was.

11. In 2012, if the unemployment rate is over 10%, Republicans will be
swept back into power. If it's under 8%, the Dems continue to roll. If
it's between 8-10%, it will be a dogfight. It will all be about the
economy. I hope this gets you really thinking about what's happening in
Washington and Congress. There is a left-wing revolution going on,
according to Krauthammer, and he encourages us to keep the faith and
join the loyal resistance. The work will be hard, but were right on
most issues and can reclaim our country, before it's far too late.

Do yourself a long term favor; send this to all who will listen to an
intelligent assessment of the big picture. All our futures and
children's futures depend on our good understanding of what is really
going on in DC!!!! And our action pursuant to that understanding! It
really IS up to each of us to take individual action!!! Start with
educating your friends and neighbors!!!

A Boy Singing to his little sister.....

You are My Sunshine, My only Sunshine'
(Be prepared to get watery eyes!)

Like any good mother, when Karen found out that another baby was on the

way, she did what she could to help her 3-year-old son, Michael, prepare

for a new sibling.

They found out that the new baby was going be a girl, and day after day,

night after night, Michael sang to his sister in mommy's tummy.

He was building a bond of love with his little sister before he even met

her.

The pregnancy progressed normally for Karen, an active member of the

Panther Creek United Methodist Church in Morristown , Tennessee

In time, the labor pains came. Soon it was every five minutes, every

three, every minute. But serious complications arose during delivery and

Karen found herself in hours of labor.

Would a C-section be required? Finally, after a long struggle, Michael's

little sister was born.. But she was in very serious condition..

With a siren howling in the night, the ambulance rushed the infant to

the neonatal intensive care unit at St. Mary's Hospital, Knoxville ,

Tennessee The days inched by. The little girl got worse. The

pediatrician had to tell the parents there is very little hope. Be

prepared for the worst.

Karen and her husband contacted a local cemetery about a burial plot.

They had fixed up a special room in their house for their new baby but

now they found themselves having to plan for a funeral. Michael,

however, kept begging his parents to let him see his sister. I want to

sing to her, he kept saying..

Week two in intensive care looked as if a funeral would come before the

week was over.

Michael kept nagging about singing to his sister, but kids are never

allowed in Intensive Care. Kar en decided to take Michael whether they

liked it or not.

If he didn't see his sister right then, he may never see her alive.
She dressed him in an oversized scrub suit and marched him into ICU.
He looked like a walking laundry basket.

The head nurse recognized him as a child and bellowed,
'Get that kid out of here now. No children are allowed.'
The mother rose up strong in Karen,
and the usually mild-mannered lady glared steel-eyed right into

the head nurse's face, her lips a firm line.
'He is not leaving until he sings to his sister' she stated.

Then Karen towed Michael to his sister's bedside.

He gazed at the tiny infant losing the battle to live.

After a moment, he began to sing.

In the pure-hearted voice of a 3-year-old, Michael sang:

'You are my sunshine, my only sunshine,
you make me happy when skies are gray.'
Instantly the baby girl seemed to respond.
The pulse rate began to calm down and become steady.

'Keep on singing, Michael,' encouraged Karen with tears in her eyes.

'You never know, dear, how much I love you,
please don't take my sunshine away.'
As Michael sang to his sister, the baby's ragged,

strained breathing became as smooth as a kitten's purr
'Keep on singing, sweetheart.'

'The other night, dear, as I lay sleeping, I dreamed I held you in my

arms' Michael's little sister began to relax as rest,
healing rest, seemed to sweep over her.

'Keep on singing, Michael.'
Tears had now conquered the face of the bossy head nurse.
Karen glowed.

'You are my sunshine, my only sunshine.
Please don't take my sunshine away.'

The next day...the very next day.
the little girl was well enough to go home

Woman's Day Magazine called it The Miracle of a Brother's Song.

The medical staff just called it a miracle.

Karen called it a miracle of God's love.

NEVER GIVE UP ON THE PEOPLE YOU LOVE.

LOVE IS SO INCREDIBLY POWERFUL.

Life is good..

Have a Wonderful Day!

Do not break this, please There is no cost, but lots of rewards.

In God We Trust!

'The evidence of God's presence far outweighs the proof of His absence.'

Date night with the o's

I tend to believe it's true but realize no matter how objective I'm trying to be - and I ALWAYS strive to be objective - my opinion might be colored somewhat by my intense dislike of Nobama, Pelosi, Frank, Reid and the rest of his law-breaking cronies. Where are the objective (relatively) of yesteryear that we need so much today? Laying at their master's feet or in the case of freaky Chris Matthews, drooling and paralyzed by the thrills and chills running down his leg:-)

Can this rank, gross-out, "let 'em eat cake" story POSSIBLY be true??!! I haven't vetted so don't know but if so, it is beyond appalling!!! So far beyond the pale that even I who despise his policies and outright lies, can hardly believe it. Jackie

From a former Air Force Colonel....

Subject: The Date

First, let me say that I've moved three presidents up to now and I've seen incredible waste. But, the "new" guy really takes the cake. I don't have an issue with the President promising his wife dinner and a show or that he even takes his wife out. But, when I saw the news say that the date cost $24,000, here's what you DON'T know.

Three days before "dinner" a C-17 flew Marines and the helicopter maintenance equipment to JFK Airport.

The day before "dinner" I flew the USSS and the motorcade to JFK Airport

Our crew of 5 spent two days and nights at the Hilton in Times Square. My hotel bill: $621.66 plus $64 a day in per diem. The USSS guys were at a different Hilton in NYC, so figure that cost another $14,000 (or so) plus per diem. The Marines had to have cost as much and were there four days, so figure another $55,000 plus per diem (for 44 Marines).

We were supposed to fly the motorcade back and go home, but the Air Force was so short of C-17's that we were re-tasked to take the motorcade back, return to JFK and take the helicopter back to Quantico. When we got back to JFK, while the pilot was turning the plane around to park, he noticed a rotor blade sticking out of the hangar where the helicopter was parked and informed me that either it wasn't ready to transport or it was flying home. After shutting down I walked over to the hangar and to my surprise I find FIVE helicopters, not ONE.

We're obviously not transporting five big helicopters. I went and talked to the Marines guarding the "fleet" and found that they were flying all five helicopters home and we were only transporting the Marines and the maintenance equipment. After talking to the Marine(s) in charge, I was told that the White House requested FIVE helicopters. The Marines told me that they spent all morning trying to figure out how much it cost them to come and said they figured it cost them $140,000 to stay there (I don't know where they came up with that) and the trip's total had to be about $1,000,000.

We heard that the President didn't use Air Force One (the 747) so I asked if he came in on one of the 757s. I was told that he came in on THREE Air Force Lear jets.

So, date night consisted of:
2 C-17's flying three missions, 3 Lear jets, 5 Helicopters,
Presidential Motorcade, 44 Marines, more than 20 USSS personnel on our plane.

Who knows what it cost the NYPD and NY Port Authority (at the airport) in overtime.

These are the same people that chastised the automobile CEO's for
using their aircraft. It further proves that the media only use the facts
that make the President look good and hide any facts that will detract
from his persona.

Is this the 'change' we expected?

Talk with friends and those who are not blinded by charisma. Many
folks I know who voted for Obama are very disappointed and sorry they did so.

The Emperor's clothes on a grand scale. "Transparency"? Remember, 2010 is just around the corner. All we have to do is survive long enough.

Ben Stein's Final Column - Worth the Read

For many years Ben Stein has written a biweekly column called 'Monday Night At Morton's.' (Morton's is a famous chain of Steakhouses known to be frequented by movie stars and famous people from around the globe.) Now, Ben is terminating the column to move on to other things in his life Reading his final column is worth a few minutes of your time.

Ben Stein's Last Column...

How Can Someone Who Lives in Insane Luxury Be a Star in Today's World?

As I begin to write this, I 'slug' it, as we writers say, which means I put a heading on top of the document to identify it. This heading is 'eonline FINAL,' and it gives me a shiver to write it. I have been doing this column for so long that I cannot even recall when I started. I loved writing this column so much for so long I came to believe it would never end.

It worked well for a long time, but gradually, my changing as a person and the world's change have overtaken it. On a small scale, Morton's, while better than ever, no longer attracts as many stars as it used to.. It still brings in the rich people in droves and definitely some stars.. I saw Samuel L. Jackson there a few days ago, and we had a nice visit, and right before that, I saw and had a splendid talk with Warren Beatty in an elevator, in which we agreed that Splendor in the Grass was a super movie. But Morton's is not the star galaxy it once was, though it probably will be again.

Beyond that, a bigger change has happened. I no longer think Hollywood stars are terribly important. They are uniformly pleasant, friendly people, and they treat me better than I deserve to be treated. But a man or woman who makes a huge wage for memorizing lines and reciting them in front of a camera is no longer my idea of a shining star we should all look up to.

How can a man or woman who makes an eight-figure wage and lives in insane luxury really be a star in today's world, if by a 'star' we mean someone bright and powerful and attractive as a role model? Real stars are not riding around in the backs of limousines or in Porsches or getting trained in yoga or Pilates and eating only raw fruit while they have Vietnamese girls do their nails.

They can be interesting, nice people, but they are not heroes to me any longer. A real star is the soldier of the 4th Infantry Division who poked his head into a hole on a farm near Tikrit , Iraq . He could have been met by a bomb or a hail of AK-47 bullets. Instead, he faced an abject Saddam Hussein and the gratitude of all of the decent people of the world.

A real star is the U.S. soldier who was sent to disarm a bomb next to a road north of Baghdad . He approached it, and the bomb went off and killed him.

A real star, the kind who haunts my memory night and day, is the U.S. soldier in Baghdad who saw a little girl playing with a piece of unexploded ordnance on a street near where he was guarding a station. He pushed her aside and threw himself on it just as it exploded... He left a family desolate in California and a little girl alive in Baghdad .

The stars who deserve media attention are not the ones who have lavish weddings on TV but the ones who patrol the streets of Mosul even after two of their buddies were murdered and their bodies battered and stripped for the sin of trying to protect Iraqis from terrorists.

We put couples with incomes of $100 million a year on the covers of our magazines. The noncoms and officers who barely scrape by on military pay but stand on guard in Afghanistan and Iraq and on ships and in submarines and near the Arctic Circle are anonymous as they live and die.

I am no longer comfortable being a part of the system that has such poor values, and I do not want to perpetuate those values by pretending that who is eating at Morton's is a big subject.

There are plenty of other stars in the American firmament..the policemen and women who go off on patrol in South Central and have no idea if they will return alive; the orderlies and paramedics who bring in people who have been in terrible accidents and prepare them for surgery; the teachers and nurses who throw their whole spirits into caring for autistic children; the kind men and women who work in hospices and in cancer wards.

Think of each and every fireman who was running up the stairs at the World Trade Center as the towers began to collapse. Now you have my idea of a real hero.

I came to realize that life lived to help others is the only one that matters This is my highest and best use as a human. I can put it another way. Years ago, I realized I could never be as great an actor as Olivier or as good a comic as Steve Martin or Martin Mull or Fred Willard--or as good an economist as Samuelson or Friedman or as good a writer as Fitzgerald. Or even remotely close to any of them.

But, I could be a devoted father to my son, husband to my wife and, above all, a good son to the parents who had done so much for me.. This came to be my main task in life.. I did it moderately well with my son, pretty well with my wife and well indeed with my parents (with my sister's help). I cared for and paid attention to them in their declining years. I stayed with my father as he got sick, went into extremis and then into a coma and then entered immortality with my sister and me reading him the Psalms.

This was the only point at which my life touched the lives of the soldiers in Iraq or the firefighters in New York .. I came to realize that life lived to help others is the only one that matters and that it is my duty, in return for the lavish life God has devolved upon me, to help others He has placed in my path. This is my highest and best use as a human

Faith is not believing that God can. It is knowing that God will..

Obama's Czars Spark Concerns Among Some Lawmakers

Although former U.S. attorney Alan Bersin and the late Russian ruler Nikolai Alexandrovich Romanov appear to have nothing in common, thanks to President Obama, they now share a title.

Romanov, known as Nicholas II, was the last Russian czar. Bersin is Obama's border czar, a new Homeland security post responsible for issues related to drug-cartel violence along the U.S.-Mexico border.

The appointment of czars is nothing new in Washington. President Obama apparently likes the idea of appointing them -- he's got a bunch of czars.

Foreign Policy magazine composed a list of 18 Obama administration czars, including Carl Browner, who is the energy czar, and Gil Kerlikowske, who is the drug czar. But almost immediately, typical Washington quibbling began over who is and who is not a czar.

Czardom does not sit well with Sen. Robert Byrd. Though slowed by age, the West Virginia Democrat remains vigorous in his defense of the powers ceded to the Congress by the Constitution. He said he believes czars are a slick way of governing without having to answer to Congress.

There is no constitutional requirement that czars undergo those pesky Senate confirmation hearings.

Former Rep. Ernest Istook said he doesn't like the term czar either because it's too Russian.

"We could just call somebody the big boss, el jefe, head honcho, the big cheese," he said. "My father used to refer to people as the chief cook and bottle washer."

Istook said he believes the Obama team is using the appointment of czars to reinvent how the executive branch operates.

"If Barack Obama thinks that the executive branch is badly organized, and you could make a great case for that, then he ought to present a coherent system," he said. "But it's just ad hoc on a case by case basis."

If there is a public outcry over the czar mania, it's entirely possible, knowing Washington, that the Obama administration will appoint a super czar to resolve the issue.
