Thanks Ron!
I wish I were better at history; however, we lived a lot of history since the early 1930's, Ron. Depression, solved only by World War II, Pearl Harbor, atomic bombs on Hirosima and Nagasaki to end the war, The Korean War, Viet Nam, The Gulf War, terrorist destruction of New York City's World Trade Center, chasing Al Quaeda out of Afghanistan, Iraq War, both wars still on-going and now a traitorous president of our once great country. Terrorists threatening us every day and supposed peace loving muslims, whose Quoran supports jihads and killing of any unbelievers, muslim leaders being appointed by the pres to high offices each continue the insults to our great American senses. The bad guys lied all the way through and our demoncrats supported them.
Vote all who support this current assault of our freedoms out now!

Please take three minutes to read this.
Maybe hes wrong, but what if hes right?
David Kaiser is a respected historian whose published works have covered a broad range of topics, from European Warfare to American League Baseball. Born in 1947, the son of a diplomat, Kaiser spent his childhood in three capital cities: Washington D.C. , Albany , New York , and Dakar , Senegal . He attended Harvard University , graduating there in 1969 with a B.A. in history. He then spent several years more at Harvard, gaining a PhD in history, which he obtained in 1976. He served in the Army Reserve from 1970 to 1976.
He is a professor in the Strategy and Policy Department of the United States Naval War College. He has previously taught at Carnegie Mellon, Williams College and Harvard University . Kaiser's latest book, The Road to Dallas, about the Kennedy assassination, was just published by Harvard University Press.
Dr. David Kaiser
History Unfolding
I am a student of history. Professionally, I have written 15 books on history that have been published in six languages, and I have studied history all my life. I have come to think there is something monumentally large afoot, and I do not believe it is simply a banking crisis, or a mortgage crisis, or a credit crisis. Yes these exist, but they are merely single facets on a very large gemstone that is only now coming into a sharper focus.
Something of historic proportions is happening. I can sense it because I know how it feels, smells, what it looks like, and how people react to it. Yes, a perfect storm may be brewing, but there is something happening within our country that has been evolving for about ten to fifteen years.. The pace has dramatically quickened in the past two.
We demand and then codify into law the requirement that our banks make massive loans to people we know they can never pay back? Why?
We learned just days ago that the Federal Reserve, which has little or no real oversight by anyone, has "loaned" two trillion dollars (that is $2,000,000,000,000) over the past few months, but will not tell us to whom or why or disclose the terms. That is our money. Yours and mine. And that is three times the $700 billion we all argued about so strenuously just this past September. Who has this money? Why do they have it? Why are the terms unavailable to us? Who asked for it? Who authorized it? I thought this was a government of "we the people," who loaned our powers to our elected leaders. Apparently not.
We have spent two or more decades intentionally de-industrializing our economy.. Why?
We have intentionally dumbed down our schools, ignored our history, and no longer teach our founding documents, why we are exceptional, and why we are worth preserving. Students by and large cannot write, think critically, read, or articulate. Parents are not revolting, teachers are not picketing, school boards continue to back mediocrity.. Why?
We have now established the precedent of protesting every close election (violently in California over a proposition that is so controversial that it simply wants marriage to remain defined as between one man and one woman. Did you ever think such a thing possible just a decade ago?) We have corrupted our sacred political process by allowing unelected judges to write laws that radically change our way of life, and then mainstream Marxist groups like ACORN and others to turn our voting system into a banana republic. To what purpose?
Now our mortgage industry is collapsing, housing prices are in free fall, major industries are failing, our banking system is on the verge of collapse, social security is nearly bankrupt, as is Medicare and our entire government. Our education system is worse than a joke (I teach college and I know precisely what I am talking about) - the list is staggering in its length, breadth, and depth. It is potentially 1929 x ten...and we are at war with an enemy we cannot even name for fear of offending people of the same religion, who, in turn, cannot wait to slit the throats of your children if they have the opportunity to do so.
And finally, we have elected a man that no one really knows anything about, who has never run so much as a Dairy Queen, let alone a town as big as Wasilla , Alaska .. All of his associations and alliances are with real radicals in their chosen fields of employment, and everything we learn about him, drip by drip, is unsettling if not downright scary (Surely you have heard him speak about his idea to create and fund a mandatory civilian defense force stronger than our military for use inside our borders? No? Oh, of course. The media would never play that for you over and over and then demand he answer it. Sarah Palin's pregnant daughter and $150,000 wardrobe are more important.)
Mr. Obama's winning platform can be boiled down to one word: CHANGE. Why?
I have never been so afraid for my country and for my children as I am now.
This man campaigned on bringing people together, something he has never, ever done in his professional life. In my assessment, Obama will divide us along philosophical lines, push us apart, and then try to realign the pieces into a new and different power structure. Change is indeed coming. And when it comes, you will never see the same nation again.
And that is only the beginning..
As a serious student of history, I thought I would never come to experience what the ordinary, moral German must have felt in the mid-1930s. In those times, the "savior" was a former smooth-talking rabble-rouser from the streets, about whom the average German knew next to nothing. What they should have known was that he was associated with groups that shouted, shoved, and pushed around people with whom they disagreed; he edged his way onto the political stage through great oratory. Conservative "losers" read it right now.
And there were the promises. Economic times were tough, people were losing jobs, and he was a great speaker. And he smiled and frowned and waved a lot. And people, even newspapers, were afraid to speak out for fear that his "brown shirts" would bully and beat them into submission. Which they did - regularly. And then, he was duly elected to office, while a full-throttled economic crisis bloomed at hand - the Great Depression. Slowly, but surely he seized the controls of government power, person by person, department by department, bureaucracy by bureaucracy. The children of German citizens were at first, encouraged to join a Youth Movement in his name where they were taught exactly what to think. Later, they were required to do so. No Jews of course,
How did he get people on his side? He did it by promising jobs to the jobless, money to the money-less, and rewards for the military-industrial complex.. He did it by indoctrinating the children, advocating gun control, health care for all, better wages, better jobs, and promising to re-instill pride once again in the country, across Europe, and across the world. He did it with a compliant media - did you know that? And he did this all in the name of justice and . . .CHANGE And the people surely got what they voted for.
If you think I am exaggerating, look it up. It's all there in the history books.
So read your history books. Many people of conscience objected in 1933 and were shouted down, called names, laughed at, and ridiculed. When Winston Churchill pointed out the obvious in the late 1930s while seated in the House of Lords in England (he was not yet Prime Minister), he was booed into his seat and called a crazy troublemaker. He was right, though. And the world came to regret that he was not listened to.
Do not forget that Germany was the most educated, the most cultured country in Europe . It was full of music, art, museums, hospitals, laboratories, and universities. And yet, in less than six years (a shorter time span than just two terms of the U. S. presidency) it was rounding up its own citizens, killing others, abrogating its laws, turning children against parents, and neighbors against neighbors. All with the best of intentions, of course. The road to Hell is paved with them.
As a practical thinker, one not overly prone to emotional decisions, I have a choice: I can either believe what the objective pieces of evidence tell me (even if they make me cringe with disgust); I can believe what history is shouting to me from across the chasm of seven decades; or I can hope I am wrong by closing my eyes, having another latte, and ignoring what is transpiring around me..
I choose to believe the evidence. No doubt some people will scoff at me, others laugh, or think I am foolish, naive, or both. To some degree, perhaps I am. But I have never been afraid to look people in the eye and tell them exactly what I believe-and why I believe it.
I pray I am wrong. I do not think I am. Perhaps the only hope is our vote in the next elections.

For Christian American readers of this blog:
I wish to incite all Christians to rise up and take back the United States of America with all of God's manifold blessings. We want the free allowance of the Bible and prayers allowed again in schools, halls of justice, and all governing bodies. We don't seek a theocracy until Jesus returns to earth because all men are weak and power corrupts the very best of them.
We want to be a kinder and gentler people without slavery or condescension to any.
The world seems to be in a time of discontent among the populace. Christians should not fear. God is Love, shown best through Jesus Christ. God is still in control. All Glory to our Creator and to our God!
A favorite quote from my good friend, Jack Plymale, which I appreciate:
"Wars are planned by old men,in council rooms apart. They plan for greater armament, they map the battle chart, but: where sightless eyes stare out, beyond life's vanished joys, I've noticed, somehow, all the dead and mamed are hardly more than boys(Grantland Rice per our mutual friend, Sarah Rapp)."
Thanks Jack!
I must admit that I do not check authenticity of my posts. If anyone can tell me of a non-biased arbitrator, I will attempt to do so more regularly. I know of no such arbitrator for the internet.

Frank Hunter reply to my PHS alumni Directory poet this morning... Thanks Frank!
Our school offers an alumni directory of all classes and all students for free. Go to www.phs.com. Then on the left side click on other and links. Then scroll down to “click here for: Portsmouth City Schools.”
Then on the left side under our trojan logo, click on class list then simply choose the year you want from the chart. You can short-cut this by just going to www.portsmouth.k12.oh.us/oldver/Schools/PHS1/alumni/classyear/main.htm

Improvement
Call me optimistic ,or what you will, but I gotta say that I am seeing improvement in this team.Is it where WE think it should be? Probably not(according to the fans).Compared to where we were 1 month ago,we have came along way.Now I know we arent winning as many games as many think we should be, but we are starting to compete in the games we are losing(and no i dont like moral victories)but you have to play the hand you are dealt. We went from competing 0 mins. to at least competing 20-25.At that rate by the middle to the end of Feb. we may just look as good as some think we are(me for 1).I will always believe in MY KENTUCKY WILDCATS!!!!!!!!!We may finish this season with one of the worst records in recent memory or we may just click and go on a tear, but either way I think our coaches and players are giving it their all and doing the best they can.We have the ducks we need, but getting them in a row is going to be the key.Well thanks for letting me get this off my chest. As for those who think our coach is at fault you may be right and for those who think it's the players, you may be right, but you have to remember one thing,THEY BOTH WANT TO WIN AS BAD AS THE OTHER!!!!!!!!!!!!

I agree. I've see improvement in the Cats nearly every conference game, so far. The early SEC schedule has made it difficult for the improvement to translate into wins as the Cats play what might be arguably the best four teams in the SEC in their first four SEC game, and two of those on the opponent's home court.I don't see the Cats beating UT, though weirder things have happened, but I do think there are some SEC wins right around the corner.

I totally agree as well. The only thing I've questioned with the coach is the man to man defense with our current roster, but its his show and I support him. These last couple of games we lost have not been easy either way. It took everything MSU and UF had to win. Progress is being made. Meeks and Jasper are still not 100% but hopefully the injuries are behind them. I'm confident.

God bless Jasper and Meeks. They are giving it all they possibly can and they have always had the best mental attitude. Coach got Khoury, Stevenson, and Harris early season game experience and it is counting very highly now. Coach Gillispie knows and we are beginning to understand. Portsmouth High School Alumni Directory 1891-2010
I received my copy of the very well done Portsmouth High school alumni directory 1891-2010, yesterday 10-12-10. I have only perused it a little, but I highly recommend the book. Besides listing the names of class graduates and profiles of many alumni, the geographical section shows many living places of Portsmouthites throughout the country and a few from throughout the world.
Your name may or may not be listed in the biographical section to the disappointmant of a lot of us, but good friends Jack Plymale, Stephen "Doc" Yeagle and Jim Fout are found in the class year Section for their class (these three in 1945).
I am a sucker for getting such directories (not inexpensive); however, University of Kentucky directories, copies of Trojan annuals (Many national award winners thanks to miss Freda Burke and her student staffs) and now this directory become favorites of mine. I am proud to consider myself a 'people person'. I repeat a cliche' (at least of mine) that "God created nothing more interesting than people". People who share the 'cultural center of our universe' (Portsmouith Ohio, of course) should enjoy looking through this directory.

Mr. Obama:
I have had it with you and your administration, sir. Your conduct on your recent trip overseas has convinced me that you are not an adequate representative of the United States of America collectively or of me personally.
You are so obsessed with appeasing the Europeans and the Muslim world that you have abdicated the responsibilities of the President of the United States of America .. You are responsible to the citizens of the United States . You are not responsible to the peoples of any other country on earth.
I personally resent that you go around the world apologizing for the United States telling Europeans that we are arrogant and do not care about their status in the world. Sir, what do you think the First World War and the Second World War were all about if not the consideration of the peoples of Europe ? Are you brain dead? What do you think the Marshall Plan was all about? Do you not understand or know the history of the 20th century?
Where do you get off telling a Muslim country that the United States does not consider itself a Christian country? Have you not read the Declaration of Independence or the Constitution of the United States ? This country was founded on Judeo-Christian ethics and the principles governing this country, at least until you came along, come directly from this heritage. Do you not understand this?
Your bowing to the king of Saudi Arabia is an affront to all Americans. Our President does not bow down to anyone, let alone the king of Saudi Arabia .... You didn't show Great Britain , our best and one of our oldest allies, the respect they deserve yet you bow down to the king of Saudi Arabia .. How dare you, sir! How dare you!
You can't find the time to visit the graves of our greatest generation because you don't want to offend the Germans but make time to visit a mosque in Turkey ...... You offended our dead and every veteran when you give the Germans more respect than the people who saved the German people from themselves. What's the matter with you? I am convinced that you and the members of your administration have the historical and intellectual depth of a mud puddle and should be ashamed of yourselves, all of you.
You are so self-righteously offended by the big bankers and the American automobile manufacturers yet do nothing about the real thieves in this situation, Mr. Dodd, Mr. Frank, Franklin Raines, Jamie Gorelic, the Fannie Mae bonuses, and the Freddie Mac bonuses. What do you intend to do about them? Anything? I seriously doubt it.
What about the U.S. House members passing out $9.1 million in bonuses to their staff members on top of the $2.5 million in automatic pay raises that lawmakers gave themselves? I understand the average House aide got a 17% bonus. I took a 5% cut in my pay to save jobs with my employer. You haven't said anything about that. Who authorized that? I surely didn't!
Executives at Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac will be receiving $210 million in bonuses over an eighteen-month period, that's $45 million more than the AIG bonuses. In fact, Fannie and Freddie executives have already been awarded $51 million not a bad take. Who authorized that and why haven't you expressed your outrage at this group who are largely responsible for the economic mess we have right now?
I resent that you take me and my fellow citizens as brain-dead and not caring about what you idiots do. We are watching what you are doing and we are getting increasingly fed up with all of you.
I also want you to know that I personally find just about everything you do and say to be offensive to every one of my sensibilities. I promise you that I will work tirelessly to see that you do not get a chance to spend two terms destroying my beautiful country.
Sincerely,
Every real American

I also want you to know that I personally find just about everything you do and say to be offensive to every one of my sensibilities. I promise you that I will work tirelessly to see that you do not get a chance to spend two terms destroying my beautiful country.
Sincerely,
Every real American
P.S. I rarely ask that emails be 'passed around'.................PLEASE SEND THIS TO YOUR EMAIL LIST......it's past time for all Americans to wake up!

This woman may lose her job for this letter.. I believe we owe it to her for expressing the outrage that we feel but fail to address. Please pass this on.

I did check the St. John's website and verified this.
Unbelievable! Click the embedded link if you doubt the authenticity.

It was widely reported that the president and his family trekked across Lafayette Park on foot to attend St. John's Episcopal Church. We all thought it was because the polls show that a significant number of the American people see this president as a Muslim and he was trying to improve his image. That's what the media and the White House wanted you to think.
Now we find out that the speaker at St. John's Episcopal Church last Sunday was:
Dr. Ziad Asali, M.D., a Muslim, founder and president of the American Task Force on Palestine , was the guest speaker. He was there to speak on the subject of "Prospects of the two-state solution in the Middle-East."
Dr. Ziad J. Asali is described as "a long-time activist on Middle East issues" who has testified to both chambers of Congress about Palestinian interests, increased U.S. aid to the Palestinian Authority, and " Israel 's disproportionate use of force" in Gaza .

Just thought I would share with you a little bit of what we heard at last
night's Republican dinner here in Crawford County, Ohio. John Kasich
(running for Gov. of Ohio) was the keynote speaker. Also present were many
politicians, most notably, Bob Latta, our U.S. Congressman. I walked up to
Bob and thanked him for his conservative voting record and voiced my concern
about what is going on in Washington. He made some funny botox remarks about
Pelosi and then agreed that we have every reason to be concerned.
As there were others waiting to talk to him, my time was brief. Although
what took place later that evening should make chills run up and down
everyone's spine to hear. He asked to speak a few words at the end of the
night and went up on stage. He proceeded to tell the crowd how bad things
really are in Washington.
He said if he could tell us even half of what the agenda is and what this
administration plans to do to our country we couldn't sleep at night. He
said he only gets 4 to 4-1/2 hours of sleep a night and worries constantly
about what they want to do to this country.
He said that Pelosi, Reid and Obama have to be stopped. He said, "You know,
you always hear this is the most important election blah blah blah, but I am
telling you people...whatever you have to do to wake people up you need to
do! We have got to vote them out in 2010 or with the things they have
planned for this country we won't even be a country by 2020! Ten years."
You could see the look of almost desperation on his face. He talked about
the huge debt. He talked about how the Congressional Budget Office (CBO)
gets their "figures". He sits on the finance committee and listens to the
ramblings of Geithner and Bernanke. He said, "If you think that the Chinese
won't hold this over us with all our debt you have another thought coming.
Our children will have nothing."
"I don't care if you have to go out door to door, tell at least 10 people
who will then tell 10 people. We have to do this.
This is the single most important election ever in the history of this
country.
The change that Obama promised us is NOT the change people thought he
meant."
WELL, I'VE JUST SENT THIS OUT TO EVERYONE ON MY DISTRIBUTION LIST! WILL YOU
DO THE SAME? WE CAN GET RID OF MOST OF THE BAD GUYS IN CONGRESS THIS
NOVEMBER,INCLUDING "FANCY NANCY ". LET'S DO IT RIGHT THIS TIME.
